I don't think either are coming back before the playoffs unless we need a win to get in. I think the Eagles are pretty well locked into the number 3 spot. I am not sure that we can impact the matchup and I don't think the match up matters.

But the pass rushing position you’re not gonna be able to pay those two guys, and then pay 3 pass rushers. If they let Phillips walk, collect the likely 3rd comp pick and then it’s move forward with smith and hunt. However if you pay Phillips, i don’t see them being able to pay everyone that includes Davis, Carter, Phillips, smith and hunt along with dejean, Mitchell, potentially Reed and Baun.

if they extend Phillips, I could see the logic of hunt over smith. Smith can be really good and even great but he’s also had injuries from the time he’s been at Georgia till now. Also, hunt came into the league with not much experience at his position. The fact that he is where he is after two years is pretty amazing. So I could see the eagles thinking hunt is just scratching the surface of his potential and in his second contract gets to another level. Frankly can have all 3 for 2026 but in 2027 hunt and smith would be in the last year of their deals (assuming smith gets his 5th year option picked up) and i don’t see the eagles just letting both play it out.

Yeah I think a good chance the team looks dramatically different 2 years from now. Too really good players that will all get paid whether here or somewhere else. Howie has to somehow make the correct commitments when no matter what path he chooses will lead to letting some good young guys walk.

I find it really hard to give a crap about a win against that sorry excuse of a team. But I will say it's kind of nice to see Darius Cooper contributing. A lot of these preseason darlings never do anything in the regular season. And after his injury I expected nothing from him. Always nice to have depth.

In the unlikely event that they do beat the Bills, I think I'd still rest everyone but aggressively prep the backups to try to get the W against Washington in the last week. The Commanders don't want that game. The depth on this defense and some Mckee magic should win it anyway.

I wouldn't be suprised if McKee isn't starting next Sunday because Jalen is questionable all week.

Gannon got good results last season with a bad roster. This season his bad franchise QB has only played in 5 games, and the substitute is mediocre career backup QB. He should get the opportunity to start fresh with a new starting QB, but it's the Cardinals ........
