What mess are you referring to? The beginning of the year startied out a little rocky, but a couple of events over the past several weeks has helped stabilized the position, First it was Fangio's decision to always line up Quinyon on the narrower side of the field with the hash marks, which meant that throwing to Adoree's side of the wider field forced the QB to make longer throws giving more time for him to adjust and catch up to the separation. Second the emergence of a consistent pass rush has sped up the QB in decision making and not being able to sit and hit deep and intermediate throws. I remember watching Goff and Love both give up looking downfield, instead looking for safety valves and passes to the flat. In my eyes the CB2 position has not been as glaring area of a weakness as it was. CB2 has really benefitted from the support given to him.

Yeah, he's been much improved and I think he's also more familiar with the scheme.

Some of us are old enough to remember when we were the Jets, Browns, etc. sad. Granted, that was a long time ago, but some things take a long time to heal from. Granted, many that are acting the way you suggest are NOT the ones old enough to remember Joe Kuharich, etc. But, I remember the Norman Braman ownership days. angry

Why in god's name did you have to bring up the "Guy from France" and ruin my day?!?!?

Its amazing what a 17 game season will do to inflate stats. 1000 yards is an average of just over 58 yards per game. Nothing to write home about with that anymore. 1200-1400 should be the mark these days, but its not a round number...

BG looking like a natural fit there....

He's always been a guy to slide inside for a pass rush boost. Lest we forget where he was lined up in SB XLII. Yup... lined up over the RG and pushed him back into Brady's lap.

So on the whole rest thing, here's how I look at it. This week, we need to win, so everyone healthy plays (including Lane and JC if they are ready). Next week, if we have the division wrapped up, I'd play the starters but sit anyone who is at all nicked up -- maybe play Toth at center, Pryor at LG, etc. Week 18, I count on Tanner and the backups to beat a Commanders team that should be mailing it in.

The 2 seed is important since Nick/Jalen haven't lost a home playoff game. But I still don't think you risk anyone week 18, as this team needs a bye after playing into February last year and playing 8 straight since the bye before week 18.

Based on what we saw at the end of the game Sunday... we might be that Kendall at OC and Toth at LG is the more likely scenario.

Yeah, I can rock with that as well. I'd love to get Dickerson and Jurgens a nice break to get right for the postseason. You could play Pryor at LT as well if you want to let Jordan rest, but if the line is Pryor/Toth/Kendall/Steen/Fred, I'm not putting Jalen out there. Tanner's time to shine.

Its so weird how these twitter people are acting like its a new thing for Graham to play inside.

I also remember a very smart guy who knows ball saying that if they sign Graham the way they should use him would be pass rush situations, lined up inside.

He'd have to get the ball out quick. lol.

Well I guess we know who came up with that play. Goedert owes this guy an expensive dinner and some jet skis

The NFL cares about safety... they won't do that again.

Tbh would like to see Kendall at center. I thought when they drafted him, he had a high floor but a low ceiling. That if Jurgens wasn’t able to make it back for week one with his back that he could potentially be a ok starter for a week or two. I thought he was closest to being able to play in an nfl game of the lineman we drafted and were UDFA. Still think he would be fine if asked to step in for a week or two at C

I was a big fan of the Kendall selection. I like strong blood lines.

I liked it because I like the value of where they got him. Also like you mentioned bloodline. I think his floor is of competent backup. Where his ceiling is probably above average starter. Imo he was closer to being able to play significant snaps than Hinton, Williams and even Lampkin. I truly thought part of their process in drafting him besides long term, bloodline and value was fact that he may have been able to start if jurgens back kept him out longer than they thought. Yet went with tot which maybe it’s Kendall isn’t as ready or maybe stoutland just trusts Toth being in the offensive system longer than Kendall

Isn’t this the same guy who eagles fans got into it with a couple years back

They'll have more time to rest during the 18-game seasons, maybe 6 days more.

It's looking like a platoon of left-handed Marsh, Right handed Bader in leftfield - with Crawford likely playing CF full-time if he can peform? With Garcia in RF - jokes aside - it's looking like it could be the best defensive outfield in major league baseball

If Bader comes back. Isn't he a FA?
