If Bader comes back. Isn't he a FA?

He is. There was a mutual option for him this season. Both sides had to agree for him to come back at whatever the agreed upon price was. Both sides chose to split ways. So, he COULD come back, but it sounds like he's not coming back.

Isn’t this the same guy who eagles fans got into it with a couple years back

In fairness, he didn't say "kids".

A 1,000 yard rusher on that amount of carries is nothing to brag about. 39th in YPC lmao

Well I guess we know who came up with that play. Goedert owes this guy an expensive dinner and some jet skis

Referring to Scot Loeffler here, for anyone who had to Google who BG's HC was last year

Is it really an outside voice if he's on the coaching staff? Let's say they did give him either more input in the gameplan or playcalling, they would never admit it. Either way a lot of improvements this week. They got to the line quicker on most plays, less hitches and more crossers, it looked cohesive. Granted, it was the Raiders but at least the concepts were wildly different.

Unfortunately all we play is crap defenses to end the season so we won't know how we stack up against a real defense until the playoffs start. But if that's the offense we see in the playoffs and our defense keeps their play up, we're getting to the NFCCG and probably the super bowl again. The only true threat in my eyes is the Rams. Experienced QB, good defense, has given us close games. If this offense can get going we dogwalk any other NFC team

WTH?? Marsh huh??

Dombrowski is such an overrated clown. They are going to basically run it back with Garcia instead of Castellanos, and no Ranger. Another season of Brandon Marsh as a starting outfielder for this team is an absolute joke.

Of course he isn't coming back. That would require Dombrowski to actually be good at his job.

Bader could easily be back. He knows his value to us is higher than it's going to be to everyone else.

Bader won't be back. They'll do the same crap they do every offseason just like I said back in October. Come up short, bring some guys back but don't actually improve the team and sign some has been and then otherwise run it back again. The GM has one foot into retirement and is checked out and Middleton closed the check book. They are not serious to do what it takes to get this team over the hump. Lots of quality bats still available and they will still bat Bohm cleanup next season. It's all so laughable.

"Value"? He'll likely sign where he gets the most "value" in the contract. If he's valuable to the Phillies, they will show it with the contract they offer, if they even offer one.

Don't forget the classic Phillies move of letting their prospects age out in the minors by never calling them up and overvaluing them in any possible trade discussions.

Eli hardly ever made the playoffs. 2/3’s of the times he did he was trash.

Hurts has yet to miss the playoffs and has only been trash 1/2 the times.

If Hurts ends his Eagles career with a .500 record everyone on this board will have died from a heart attack over the course of a few 1-16 seasons.

Ye, that's why I said Hurts is absolutely a better regular season QB than Eli, and that's why he makes the playoffs a lot more. I was only commenting on the actual things people were saying. I have a history of being notoriously critical of Eli, that's why.

First things first, a good majority of people in here have said nothing can be worse than patullo. So sirianni injecting himself into this offense could not have been worse.

Second, the point of my post was that people are skeptical it was sirianni because why would you wait this long? If you saw something failing at your job would you just sit there and let it fail for weeks? There was zero adjustment or progression from the offense since week 1, getting called out by national media and broadcasters DURING THE GAMES.

When you delegate as a leader, you have to have a certain amount of willing to let your people grow. I think chances are, Sirianni never pitched Patullo as some perfect candidate. What is probably more of what happened is that the feel by the team was that the job wasn't really too big for him, and he could grow into that role. So while I don't think they expected this level, I think they felt that growing pains weren't outside the realm of possibility. When an organization is primed for that kind of situation, there's a certain amount of leeway you give to your people because you want them to be competent, and handholding won't get you that.

However, when you get too close to the playoffs and you're not seeing the results you need, it's important to step in before you outright lose a season to this sort of issue. It's fairly commonplace in organizations to not step in and do people's job for them, if the goal is making people competent. I think people just forget that because being a football fan in Philly means the emotions run too high, but if you think about it in terms of a non-football situation, you can kind of see how it would end up that way.

I hope Garcia can be the player he was for the Rangers in the WS season a couple of years ago for you guys. He had a horrible year this past season, sometimes a change of scenery can help ball players out.

Eagles assistant coach is assisting the coaches. Who would have guessed it.

Go ahead, waste the next hour of your life.

There has to be a hundred different scenarios that could play out between all the NFC North and West teams.

My 3 favorite players in this draft for the Eagles are Kadyn Proctor (Alabama OT), Olaivavega Ione (PSU OG), and Eli Stowers (Vanderbilt TE).

All 3 are a pretty heavy match for what the Eagles like to draft based on the positions they play, their physical profiles, and the schools they go to.

Ione feels like a Samoan Landon Dickerson without the injury history. Stowers is a highly productive highly athletic big conference talent who hasn't scratched the surface of his potential. And Proctor is the embodiment of a Stoutland U student. Issue with Proctor is he's a first round pick who probably needs a year to learn...and they may be hesitate to either throw him to the wolves as a rookie RT (and collegiate LT) or to have their first round sit the bench all year behind Lane (if he doesn't retire).

It’s kinda crazy to me that Eagles let interns wear #99 during practice but god forbid a player wears 87 or 25 during training camp.
