Definitely better in the Draft. He enjoyed being a Bucs fan a bit too much in the Regular Season.

Knew his Civil War too, especially Gettysburg.

Let's say Eagles win another title or even complete the dynasty here in the next few years. Howie still in his early-mid 50s is sure lock HOF. King of this franchise, Lurie's favorite child.

Let's just say for conversation sake he does decide he wants to rebuild one of the worst long running franchises to just add some extra points to his legacy to have success with two different organizations and all these other organizations are lining up to pay him crazy money that Lurie just can't afford no matter how much field snow he sells.

What would be the most impressive organization where if Howie went there and turned it around and maybe not even won a Super Bowl but built a team that made multiple deep playoff runs including a run to the Super Bowl? Even beyond that won a Super Bowl?

I think you have to consider good teams right now that just haven't ever won like the Lions, Vikings and Bills. But I think the biggest glory would be teams that have just been bad for so long modern history wise.

Raiders were my initial thought at the start of this post. They were in the Super Bowl in 2002 season but really nothing since even the Carr years. Always a quick disaster.

Browns of course. 1 playoff win since 1995. Cardinals are there but the have had some good runs. Panthers, same thing. The whole NFC East division but all have great championship filled history despite recent run of trash real success. Titans just boring. Houston maybe certainly. But 3rd has to be Dolphins I would think. So, so, so bad for many decades. Jets honorable mention too. Jaguars too.

But ultimately I guess I would go most impressive for Howie if he does it is 1) Browns 2) Raiders 3) Dolphins 4) Jaguars 5) Texans

Who is your favorite rival to the Eagles former player? Michael Irvin has to be mine. He is hilarious, impossible not to get joy from his character on TV. Biggest shame for NFL Network even ahead of them being bought by ESPN is Irvin getting himself in trouble again so he got dropped from what was by far the best pre-game NFL show that existed with Eisen, Faulk, Warner, Irving and Mooch. Falk too for that matter of getting in trouble to be dropped initially. Although he wasn't great, that original lineup was great and he was a part of it. You watch stuff like that Cowboys documentary on Netflix and it is impossible to not like Irvin.

Mine would be Jeff Saturday.

Spent some time last weekend at the National Civil War museum in Harrisburg. Found some interesting artifacts there. They had some hand grenades there... and one, no lie, looked exactly like the Nerf Vortex football.

Sort of makes me wonder if the developers at Nerf were Civil War buffs. Crazy similarities.

If the Eagles win the SB this season and Hurts is the SB MVP for a second time, what does that make his trade value for a QB needy team? 3 First Rounders?

He would never be traded.

If Sauce Gardner gets 2, and top end DEs can get up to 3, a multiple Superbowl MVP winning QB in his prime would be more than that.

I was watching a highlights video from 2000 and Paul Maguire called a few players dumb because they didn't jump on a fumble. "Jones loses this ball, but I'm gonna show you 3 dumb guys..."

If that happened today, odds they'd be fired or suspended by the network?

Arguably you are right, but that doesn't mean a QB hungry team won't offer a trade for him. My question was about what would be offered.

That's a Ketchum grenade, developed for the Union armies. The plunger at the front has a percussion cap attached so that when it hits it ignites the explosive in the body. The tail fins are to increase throwing accuracy. If the grenades did not hit nose first they wouldn't explode, in which case the Confederates would throw them back and more often than not they would.

I would think even right now his value should be more than 3 firsts without knowing the intricacies of his contract. They just supposedly offered 3 firsts for a 30 year old DE. If he was superbowl mvp again his value would be so high to the Eagles no team would offer what that would take. Maybe 6.. 7... 👀

I read that the rebs would spread a blanket above their dugouts and Ketchum.

Yes, they would. Port Hudson, I believe, and probably Vicksburg.

Never say Never, History would prove that wrong.

Maybe he wouldnt be traded the next year but doubt he is an Eagle his entire career. Extremely rare, even for SB winning MVPs

Howie has said previously that every player has a price… except for franchise QB. If you have a franchise QB you know can start for you for a long time, then even 5 first round picks still isn’t enough

It’s not about whether or not Hurts is worth 5 1sts, it’s about where your team is at after you lose him

Getting 3 firsts to build around a cheaper McKee. I like it. 😂

What is with this desire to tear down a superbowl team to start over

I think we have now entered the twilight zone. 25 people chat-rooming about trading Hurts for 6 1st rounders after he wins consecutive SBs and named MVP.

What we have learned? Being great and being awful result in the same outcome: we suck!!

Off topic, but week 15 is a goldmine this season, aside from Raiders/Eagles

Ravens/Bengals(if Burrow is back, could be good)

Chargers/Chiefs

Bills/Patriots

Packers/Broncos

Lions/Rams

Colts/Seahawks

Vikings/Cowboys(could be meh by then, but who knows)
