You have to because of the rule changes.

You would 100% always recover an onsides kick if the D was lined up for a normal kick.

That's officially game. Washington should be ashamed of themselves for calling timeouts and getting their player hurt. If they just didn't call the timeout, we kneel and this game is over... no one else gets hurt.
