The brawl happened after the 2 point conversion that Barkley scored.... and as such he pretty much has to get involved... because if a player comes off the bench to join the brawl, that's an instant ejection.

Actually I’m wondering now if they went for 2 because they wanted to ensure Elliott’s last kick was a make so he could go into next week feeling good rather than his last kick being possibly a miss and him stewing on it all week mentally.
