Good 2026 schedule news:

9 home games

The Eagles and Cowboys schedule will be about the same difficulty since these 1st or 2nd place pairs are not really distinguishable

Bears or Packers

Steelers or Ravens

Panthers or Bucs

Money is on one of those "home" games being international.

Let's say the Eagles offense puts up a bunch of points this weekend. Everyone will say the Bills defense sucks. Have given up over 30 points 3 times in 6 weeks. Can't win here.

Yes

And let’s say they score 13… then there’s a bigger problem.

And let’s say you don’t go through with your double mastectomy to get rid of your moobs? Then you’ll have 2 big problems.

I’ve been less than sanguine for much of this year but I can’t help but notice that come playoff time, it appears we may have our entire first string available and healthy. Hard to believe.

Healthy? Not sure about that. Available, sure. Lane, Dickerson, Jurgens, and Carter will not be healthy.

My guess is weather will impact this game, so it's a wasted exercise to really determine much here.

So if they blow up the scoreboard you will scream for joy and say "I told you so" to anyone who doesn't agree with you that Hurts is the best thing since slice bread.

BUT

If they play poor on offense, you want to use the weather excuse.

Got it

Mikie is literally half his size.

That's ok. That's the guy that was instigating with Darius Cooper. So, at least he went after the right guy... AND, he finally drove someone back! #progress

Everything we talk about on here is worthless. It's what we do as fans. Just like talking to our TVs during the game.

I don't know about you, but for me...

All due respect to Cam Jurgens - everyone knows he’s banged up and not having his best year but somehow he made the pro bowl over Mailata & Lane?

Popularity contest much?

They play different positions, so he's not competing against them. But yeah, the Pro Bowl is primarily a popularity contest. Jurgens was rightly named last year... the Eagles are still one of the top teams in the NFL (contrary to our angst here in the blog and Eaglesfanville), so he's going to get carry over from last year. And, Frank Ragnow retired and then returned. So who is he left to compete with for a spot in the Pro Bowl? Can you name another center from the NFC who is more worthy? (no cheating now)

Super Bowl hangover for the fans too. The offense came back nearly completely intact... and we get garbage performances for a variety of reasons. The defense is missing a bunch of players from last year... and they hold down the fort, for a couple reasons... 1 - the pillars and future pillars were largely left in tact, and 2 - and most importantly, Vic flat out knows how to coach defense.

Hurts has already won a a Superbowl here and probably should have a 2nd one, if not for a rigged field and rigged refereeing in a Superbowl. So, he gets full benefit of the doubt as far as I am concerned. Simply, because he has shown up in big games. Period. He has performed great against 2 different Championship defenses coached by Spags. I expect great performances from him this coming playoffs as well. What he does in Buffalo won't determine much for me one way or the other.

Patullo struggled to make the Sirianni/Moore version of the offense (run the ball, take shots downfield, no turnovers) work with a lesser OL against defenses that were loading up against the run. After the loss to the Giants, the FO told Sirianni to find a better approach.

It has been Patullo expanding the playbook and game plan. It takes time to practice and install new concepts and we are seeing the offense continually evolve. There is more diversity to the game plans (under-center against the Raiders then empty against the Commanders). He is the solution.

This is my take and will die on the mountain.

I do think we play for the 2nd seed. Too huge not to.

If Washington's starter is Josh Johnson, the Eagles could likely roll Sam Howell out there at QB and win. The backups might be able to get it done, but you are correct... the chance to host TWO, minimum, playoff games is a big deal. The danger is that the Washingteam has some cheap shot artists... and they have a chip on their shoulder for no real reason.

lol

Obviously I would go with Cam but I’m biased.

It is nice that we have games coming up on Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
