For real - I think one of those 3&outs was like 25s. I’d be surprised if the offense held the ball for 10 minutes in the 2nd half. A shameful display.

BS. It's not arrogance it's knowing what we have and what they are doing to waste it. Take this crap elsewhere.

Hey bud, if you feel called out enough to feel that way when I'm specifically calling out that a lot of the fanbase is acting like psychos, that's not on me. It's arrogant and stupid. It's disrespectful to the fact that there's 32 teams in the league, all also vying for the same trophy. It's disrespectful for the actual work it takes to win in the first place, and most of all, it's a one way road to being miserable pretty much whenever you think about the team.

Starting to think we really need some really bad years before people go insane.

It's probably because our running game this year was designed for use of a fullback. People kinda forget quickly, but there was quite a bit of smoke about how VanSumeren's role would be significantly increased, and then he got another freak season ending injury.

Ok...broken record warning......I wanted everyone to rest yesterday not only for rest and health but....short of the Eagles being the Bills 42-10, this fan base was going to flip out. Now I agree, KP should never be let near an NFL team again! But that isn't changing this year. Nothing on offense can dramatically change EXCEPT their health. My point on resting everyone was that by doing so, maybe Dickerson, Jurgens and Mailata could get as rested and as healthy as possible SO THAT when we get to the playoffs.....maybe our running game would have more success. A running game with this defense has shown that it can win a Super Bowl. A fatigued, beaten up offensive line will NOT all of the sudden become last year's line. To me, resting them for 3 weeks and getting the 3 seed was better than beating them up further and MAYBE getting the 2.

Absolutely. If we had last year’s run game it would actually be defensible. It’s like they believe the OL and run game is still dominant and can be leaned on. Clearly we can’t and they’ve never figured it out.

Yep. Clearly the key to this year is a high volume passing attack, even in normally obvious running situations.

My biggest issue is KP showed he hasn't changed. We saw the offense do well in a few games this season in the first half, the defense adjusts, KP can't do anything after. Now it's about to be do or die time and they are right back to wasting a generational defense by running them into the ground while the highest paid offense gets 15 yards in a half. You are a smart fan and get that. I want to be glass half full but it's BS just how much talent they are wasting.

They certainly got too conservative in the 2nd half. I'm going to go back and watch it again but my memory says they should have taken a couple more deep shots to help loosen the Bills secondary up. In any case, the team is sticking with their basic philosophy of leaning on the D and not turning the ball over. Without the dominant running game this year it means we end up in these super tight games where the O can't close and the D has to bail us out time and again. In the end of the day, they aren't changing anything at this point and if they want to move to a more traditional type of passing O at some point they will need to go thru the very risky process (both on the field and with the cap/draft implications) of moving to a new QB.

I think the OL will be better in two weeks once Lane is back and after having a week off for Dickerson and Jurgens. They'll also be able to go back to using Big Fred as the extra lineman in the heavy package instead of having to throw in Calcaterra. They don't have to be great but if they can run just enough to get some first downs it may very well be enough to allow the D to get the job done overall. The only team that I don't think we can keep off the scoreboard is the Rams but we've beaten them 3x in a row so maybe we just have their number.

The blocking wasn’t great, but I think they need to move to Tank in the 4 minute situations - Saquon has too many negative plays, and doesn’t move the pile or fall forward like Bigsby has shown.

Listening to the Philly Special podcast and I think Sheil put it perfectly: Sirianni overrates his level of involvement in the Eagles’ record during his tenure.

I think his harping on the turnover battle has effectively neutered the offense and makes winning harder than it should be.

Cripes, I’d settle for Tank just to have a real role in the offense. His deployment makes no damn sense.

F the NFL with that schedule. Can the Eagles get a single freaking break this year with the damn schedule?

The Sun 1pm games are all hot garbage. I think the only one that matters is the Texans game, which gives the Chargers and Bills the luxury that the Eagles apparently don't deserve by knowing their fate before playing at 430.

And why the hell would Seattle/San Francisco be on Saturday? The winner won't play for like 4 weeks after that. Bow down to the almighty TV networks. I look forward to downloading eight more streaming apps so I can watch the playoffs.

Rest the starters. I guaran--f'ing--tee they'll give the Eagles a Saturday playoff game so I want no part of yet another short week for the playoffs.

Of course we need to rest the starters...My biggest fear is that somebody getsvthe stupid idea yo play starters for the 2nd seed week 18

Agree 100%. I can't figure out why Tank doesn't get 6-8 carries a game.

I think your overall take over the last two or so pages has quite honestly been goofy, but let me try to help.

The overwhelming majority of this site and a large number of the fan base has lived through decades of bad years. Being the only team in the division without a title. Constantly coming up just short even in good years. Years where we were completely irrelevant.

Many of us are aware enough to understand that there is talent on this team that is capable of winning again and they just aren't executing the way they could/should and it's frustrating. You need to capitalize on the chances you have because before you know it you've lost that chance and it can be decades before you're back. Hell, some of us might never live to see a stretch like this one again.

If you can't recognize that, no one can help you.

Nick actually acknowledging that their playcalling sucked in the 2nd half is I guess a glimmer of hope.

Am I insane or did I see Goedert line up at FB several times yesterday? There was one in particular where he didn't even know to line up at FB and had to be directed there by Saquon.

The funny part is they didn't even do anything tricky, just ran the plays with Goedert as a lead blocker.

But, much like the 2 back sets, lining up Saquon at FB, etc., this seemed like a temporary gimmick that had absolutely no relevance to the scheme and we'll probably never see it again.

I hate to break this to you, but we're 11-5, so you don't really know what average is. No, wins are not the cure all to dismiss everything, but when you make a point like 'below average', you actually have to understand what you're saying. 'Below our expectations' is not below average.

Passion does not have to come with a heavy dose of ignoring reality. If you took some of that passion and analyzed the team even a little, or paid attention as much as that passion would imply you should, you would know exactly what problems are rolling around. They existed last year too, and were covered up by the best rushing attack in the history of our team. This year, however, our run blocking has been garbage and in large part because of poor OL health. The most important and well known change the first year of Sirianni being on the team was switching up playcaller, the second most important was running the ball more.

Since Jalen Hurts has been here, running the football has been the identity of our team, and the thing in which our offense is built on. If we can't run the ball, our offense does not go. It's really as simple as that. It was true last year too, except we ran the football with authority.

I'm not saying repeating isn't a possibility. There's nothing wrong with hoping for it either. But it being the expectation is arrogant and stupid. There's no wiggle room there.

Our offense is below average. Can you see that or no?

I seem to remember a play that Goedert was at FB and completely whiffed on his block.

Did anyone ever see a replay of the play where Hurts scrambled and got hit on the sideline? That sure looked like it should have been a personal foul but they never bothered to show it on the broadcast.

Nick acknowledging the offense sucking in the second half does nothing for me. The offense has been crap most of the year and he hasn’t figured it out yet.

His explanation that he somehow couldn’t tell Patullo to be more aggressive during a drive but only in between was one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard. You mean after we have a crappy run on first down he couldn’t tell Patullo to throw the damn ball? To use a designed roll out that worked in the first half?

How about on the TD (where he ended up just short) where Epps was leveled by a block on crossing routes? It was absolutely OPI.......and the Mitchell PI call was absolute garbage too. Plus I saw Buffalo OL constantly holding. The Refs were absolute trash. This does not negate or excuse the garbage from KP....but it makes it all that more difficult to win for sure.

Given they were trying to run a 4-minute offense the entire 2nd half (miserably), Tank could've had a big role in this game from my perspective.

Yes I saw that. I saw clear p.i. that wasn't called for us, I saw a catch that was overturned that shouldn't have been and one that was ruled a catch that should have been challenged.

Watched the Steeler game yesterday and saw some of the same things.

Almost as if the extended season needed some exciting games in week 18. Unfortunately for them that against all odds we won.

He wasn't quite out of bounds, but other household names get that call because they're seemingly too important to the sport to take big hits.
