Did anyone ever see a replay of the play where Hurts scrambled and got hit on the sideline? That sure looked like it should have been a personal foul but they never bothered to show it on the broadcast.

Whether intentional or not - there was clear bias in the officiating last night - some of the most off-balanced officiating I've seen all year.

I saw a replay of it on Twitter. Looked like a good no call.

Looks like Sirianni will be getting more involved in the offense....

He wasn't quite out of bounds, but other household names get that call because they're seemingly too important to the sport to take big hits.

What are you basing that judgement on? We certainly were never shown the replay on the broadcast.

How about on the TD (where he ended up just short) where Epps was leveled by a block on crossing routes? It was absolutely OPI.......and the Mitchell PI call was absolute garbage too. Plus I saw Buffalo OL constantly holding. The Refs were absolute trash. This does not negate or excuse the garbage from KP....but it makes it all that more difficult to win for sure.

JC has a remedy for guys who hold him every play.

Why? Was Hurts still inbounds? Clearly he was hit.

Somebody posted a clip on twitter or something.

Yes.

Yes.

You saw an angle down the sideline?

Nick actually acknowledging that their playcalling sucked in the 2nd half is I guess a glimmer of hope.

Am I insane or did I see Goedert line up at FB several times yesterday? There was one in particular where he didn't even know to line up at FB and had to be directed there by Saquon.

The funny part is they didn't even do anything tricky, just ran the plays with Goedert as a lead blocker.

But, much like the 2 back sets, lining up Saquon at FB, etc., this seemed like a temporary gimmick that had absolutely no relevance to the scheme and we'll probably never see it again.

It is all so dumb and counterintuitive. The Eagles offense continues to be dictated to by the defensive formation. The D shows 8-9 to the box so the OC decides to match the stacked D with a stacked offense over and over again....all it does is bring more defenders into a short space...it is a lose lose situation. When the D shows 8-9, the logical play scheme is to spread them out...the Eagles were starting to show signs of dictating, but it all went to hell in the second half.

It looked even worse when you saw that ref reaching for his flag, and then deciding to not pull it out.

Dang, victory is agonizing.

1. At the very least, rest as much of the defense as possible. They were on the field for 35 minutes and 73 plays in terrible weather. Around 50 of those plays were in the 2nd half.

2. Never ever run into 10 man defensive fronts again. Audible to play action every time.

3. KP: I expected a learning curve but it isn't happening. He should be showing signs of improvement and he isn't. I have no faith he somehow shows big improvement next season if he hasn't shown any during his 16 games this season. In fact, that 2nd half yesterday may have been his absolute worst effort of the season. The Buffalo defense made adjustments and he couldn't counter. A joke of a half for a professional who is supposed to be so good at his job that there are only 32 of him in the world.

18 total 2nd half plays, including game ending kneel down; 16 total yards; just under 9 minutes of ball control. He is in over his head and I don't think it is debatable. Too much evidence to support it.

Buffalo was stacking the box, made worse by all of the tight formations. Buffalo was also blitzing a ton.

I guess Hurts didnt want to check out of run plays, because, you want to run the ball in that moment to eat clock.

The coaches, or Hurts need to realize they arent going to eat up clock by running in to a wall and going 3 and out.

Hurts needs to complete a 3rd down pass once or twice in the whole damn half. Even if its 3rd and 8. I know its scary to throw the ball that far but come on.

He was late to get out of bounds.

Patullo is obviously terrible but I think the shots at Sirriani are over the top. He literally has one of the best all time records over 5 years. 2 SB’s. One championship. Winning isn’t just a matter of having good players and good coaches. You have to make it all work together. Look at Fangio in Miami. The players didn’t buy in. Anyway 5 years results aren’t dumb luck

I’m fine with the no call by the letter of the law. Some QBs getting that call and others aren’t are a separate issue.

It was cool last year when defenses would run goal-line lite to stop the run and Saquon would knife through to an empty 2nd level... just not happening this season. Not sure if quick game or hots are happening either, and pitching it deep is going to get tougher in January depending on where we are playing.

I'm holding out hope that Lane will make a big difference and that Jalen gets into playoff mode and decides to become more of a factor running/scrambling. At one-time he'd try to juke LBs in the open field and get some tough yards to move the sticks, nowadays he lays down.

A head coach is only as good as the coaches around him.

I dont care who the HC is. He has to have good coordinators and assistants around him to be successful. Patullo hasn't been it.

Not star treatment... oh well, star treatment is BS anyway.

That's what I mean when I refer to "off-balanced" officiating. If you call it for one team/player you should call it for the other team/player as well. Last night was over the top, imo - the worst offense being the no PI call on the AJ Brown's arm being held almost entirely behind his back (would have been a TD) bomb vs the huge PI call on us which was barely a shirt tug.

I usually side with the defense on those types of plays because I’m conditioned seeing Mahomes pull his tip-toe on the sideline routine to draw a flag BS. But the fact that they didn’t show a replay tells me that he was clearly out and hit late.

At least the refs didn't reverse the super fumble...

Sorry but that call should have been made. And why was Hurts running so weird?

So that's the angle from the live broadcast and you can't tell for sure. It could just as well be that Hurts has already stepped out before the hit which would mean the letter of the law is a penalty.

In any case, they've typically called that a penalty for years when the QB is clearly slowing up and just out of bounds. If they want to change that and let QBs get hit going OOB like other players then I'd be fine with that.
