In fact, they should all be banned from the NFL.But the wind... no offenses can function in Philadelphia in January (or December or maybe November).

They did it with fangio in 2022. But he had been around the team and they had the week off prior to the Super Bowl.Imo stefanski is going to get a HC job. I wouldn’t be surprised if GB loses that LaFleur is safe. Been reports all season he might be gone. I could see them going after him. I also think falcons, giants and potentially ravens if they move on from harbaugh would too.If they wanted Daboll around I suspect they would have hired him already. And Fangio helped with prep work during the week back in 2022 by telling the O how he expected them to be attacked. I doubt they'll bring in someone who will impact gameday ops

Needs more bulk and just more experience at this level. It’s why Dean got inserted by fangio and trouble taking him off the field. He is very good vs. run, can blitz and while not his best attribute he has shown he can cover. That said, during the draft i felt this way, id have taken Simmons the OSU OT over Campbell. I thought both were going to be really good. I wasn’t mad they took Campbell at all just preference. Reason i felt that way was first Simmons is a top 10 pick if not for his injury last year. Not often getting that caliber/potential OT. With stoutland i was confident he’d be able to replace Lane. Add on with lane getting older and missing more time. At the time they had Pryor. Fred Johnson was not here anymore. Along with i felt he could also play guard if need be. Imo they had trotter who i was confident could be a starter til dean came back.Lastly eagles philosophical approach is build through the trenches outward. Using high round picks on the meat and potatoes and find LBs in FA (Baun and bradham) or middle rounds of the draft and develop them. Imo Simmons fit more of the eagles philosophy than going Campbell. I won’t bash the eagles for that pick cause i do think both wind up being good players. But I’d rather taken Simmons over Campbell. That said i hope in the end I’m completely wrong and Simmons stinks and Campbell is an all proInstincts are so important at LB. Campbell is getting lapped 3-4 times by the guy in CLE. The cross training here makes things a little different, but you just don’t see an instinctive LB with Campbell.FWIW, I wanted Hairston, Campbell, or Emmanwori the way the board was falling. When Hairston was off the board, knowing that S can be a little scheme dependent, I was excited about the Campbell pick. Too much weirdness with Simmons I didn’t want to deal with - after Dillard I’m a little scarred.

This team could win a SB with the talent they have and the defense. They very well might lose in the WC. Few times as an eagles fan where it’s a complete mystery where their season ends. last year more confident they’d at least get to nfc title game and had a championship caliber team cause of the defense and run game. 2022 felt confident they’d get at least to nfc title game and likely a SB. 2023 we all knew they were doomed in Tampa. Same as 2021 with Bucs.I feel strangely similar to last year - I didn't trust the offense AT ALL. Hurts was coming off the concussion, and he had looked bad up until the Steelers game. Had no idea what to expect from them at all. This year, I'm more concerned about the offense given the inability to run, but I'm potentially higher on the defense given how they've played since getting JP.

Also kind of think daboll probably wanted some time off and be prepared for HC job openings. Don’t think he gets one but can see him thinking he might
January 5Jan 5 Author There are a lot of playoff factoids floating around today.Brady started during 19 seasons with the Patriots. He finished 18 of them. Of those 18, only once did the Patriots not win the division.

January 5Jan 5 Any sickos watch the Drew Kendall tape yet? Ya know, just so I can get more mad that we’re starting the corpse of Cam Jurgens.

Wasn’t highly confident in the pass game either year. Imo the offense is much worse than last year even if the defense is close to to the same
January 5Jan 5 This will absolutely be thrown back in my face, but I feel like the Rams are primed to be upset by Carolina. Short week for the Rams and have to travel across the country. Now, they shouldn't overlook a Panthers team that beat them earlier this year, but they continue to be crowned by the media. I've always thought the Rams were a soft team - McVay is a great play caller/designer, but I think he's a below average gameday coach.

Their old red helmet should be their primary helmet starting yesterday. Night and day what it does for them. They looked like the Bills. The Jets 1960s throwbacks are also elite and should be their primary again.I agree the red helmets are much better with the blue.
January 5Jan 5 Campbell was a bad draft pick now? lol, i don’t care to go back enough pages to see where this came from.

And to @e-a-g-l-e-s eagles! point, it all hinges on Phillips. If they don't bring him back, Smith/Hunt is the duo and I'm perfectly fine with that IF Phillips walks.
January 5Jan 5 Nolan Smith was disappointing this year. I think his injury never healed properly. I wouldn’t be surprised if he has another surgery in offseason. I expect they’ll try to re-sign Phillips as a priority. He fits their mindset well

They were one short going into the year unless uche or aziz stepped up. I’m guessing another position they might go earlier then expected as they’ve seen the impact Phillips made on the defense
January 5Jan 5 58 minutes ago, NCiggles said:I thought he played ok. He had 10 tackles and showed good range. He is solid in coverage. He made the one bad mistake on coverage but it wasn't . He's 21 years old. He doesn't look lost. He just needs to play and build some play strength.Exactly the point I was making. 10 tackles that didn't really impact the game. Alex Singleton's game to a T. Good range, will stat pad tackles, but didn't any change the course of the game? Were any big stops on key plays? No, they were just tackles. I know saying "just" a tackle sounds like I'm downplaying getting a stop, but you look at some of the plays Trotter made. He made plays behind the LOS, at the LOS and on key downs. I need those kind of plays from Campbell. He could have had 10 more tackles doing the same thing he did and Trotter still had the better game. Yes, he's young. Young players can make plays.

He fits their mindset wellI don't know, I think triceps are either torn or they aren't. He's never proven to be a guy who can dominate for a full season and his success was limited sample and then his growth was stunted by the IR trip. But I don't think he'll ever be a mega sack guy, I think he's a part time pass rusher who will play really well in spurts, but a guy you always want on your team.

I started the conversation by saying I want to see more from him. Did you notice him at all? Are we just giving him the benefit of the doubt because he was a 1st round pick and we're slobbing any pick Howie makes now? There's some damn exciting tape from him at Bama. He flashed a few times before Dean came back. The fumble recovery last week was terrific hustle. Where he started the play to getting the ball is crazy to watch. He HAS talent. He's just been outplayed by every LB on the team as of late.
