They already basically made him hire new coordinators after 2023.If the season were over I think Nick would fire him. He knows the perception of accountability and how coaching goes. That said if the O performs reasonably in the playoffs then he might try to sell that as positive direction going into next year
Tuesday at 05:50 PM5 days San Fran is as good a matchup for the Birds as any outside of Carolina. I think it comes down to the linebacker/DeJean play vs. McCaffrey and the Niners short passing and running game. They can dink and dunk with the best of them but in the end we just need a play or two per drive to put them in 2nd/3rd and long. If we can at least break even on that matchup then I think we win in a game that is closer on the scoreboard than on the field.Thinking back to the '23 game and how horrid our LBs and Slot CBs were. Things are a 180 from that period.
Tuesday at 06:10 PM5 days How the hell did we go 3-3 in this crappy Division??!! People want to know!!😆🧐

DC is an idiot calling plays with the Lions but he tried to do something different. Nick could have made a change 6-7 weeks ago. Maybe it was the QB coach, maybe it was him taking over, or maybe it was bringing in an outside mind. Yeah, it wasn't the preseason to make a major revamp, but this is the same offense that was here last year. There is little reason they couldn't have adjusted to what KM did with another guy calling plays who wasn't an absolute idiot. That's what KP is. He seems good at game plans to start a game and then he has no feel, can't think quickly, and is over his head. Throwing long to an UDFA with the game on the line or throwing multiple times from the 3 with Tank crushing it are just small samples of his ineptitude. To admit he sits there and goes ahhhhhh when he hears plays coming in. WTH, dude. He is the problem as much as KP for watching this. So are Howie and Jeff for not stepping in 2 months ago when they saw what was happening. Nick should have let Loeffler call plays. He couldn't have been any worse. It's too late now. It's rare to have this much talent and be this healthy and they essentially wasted a year unless a miracle happens.
Tuesday at 06:16 PM5 days Offensive consultant time. Him or Stefanski need to be brought in. Not to help with this year because they can't do much in a few weeks, but to keep them from finding other jobs before they take over next year. If Nick has a problem with that screw him he can go too.

I'd rather them honestly hire an offensive coach like Stefanski anyway to end this crap happening every year. Keep Vic and his staff. Let Howie keep cooking with the roster. We won't miss Nick and his vibes. If they don't bring someone in as a consultant with a wink wink then they will be stuck with all the crap left over. They need to be proactive now.The "he won us a SB" crowd can deal with the reality that Howie, Vic, and KM won them a SB while Nick shaved his head as a contribution.

Dumb and stubborn get you KP as an OC. Andy brought something other than vibes to the table. Also, Kelly was stubborn as well. He went on to win...nothing.

Again, he brought something to the table. Nick shaves his head. He has shown no ability to improve as an offensive mind so he has nothing of value to improve on going forward. We will be dealing with this same crap year after year. Howie, Vic, and KM won them a SB. Nick just didn't get in the way. He's stubborn and stupid and acts like a damn clown.

Nick brings an ability to connect with the modern day players which isn't easy.He needs a good OC for sure.

I only looked him up because Rich Eisen thinks the Raiders should try and get him...he has no professional coaching experience, not that means he can't do the job, but that's a pretty big leap.He has god status at IU and just got a big nee contract

I saw someone say he’s on our Mt Rushmore of QBs… wtf?Not before Cunningham or Jaws or Wentz or Van Brocklin… hell, Rodney Peete and Nick Foles have arguments over VickIt’s so weirdIf he had actually studied the game instead of only relying on his physical gifts then he very likely has multiple Lombardi's depending on what team he was on IMOWhen we had him it was too late. He still had that rocket arm but he was fragile and made mental mistakesHis career was definitely a case of 'what if'

My Facebook is literally blowing up with hopeful Niner fans and their wishful thinking. The Niner fans call themselves "The Faithful", but what they really are is "The Casual". In years like this the delusions are so strong and they become extra loud and obnoxious. For them it is more about feeling and emotion than actual knowledge and objective rational thinking. Post after post of women (not that this is a problem, but they show up in large numbers and are extra loud) emoting about, "well, we beat them last time", "they hurt Brock", "those fans are horrible, we hate them"....lol...on and on. This week has been "we held Seattle to 13 points so we got this", "the Eagles D is crap". OMG...it is so hard to stay quiet...
