There's no right answer for Siri about the offense. If he says he's confident, he gets ripped because the offense sucks. If he says they're still growing, he gets ripped because the offense sucks and they're still trying to improve. If he says he's not satisfied, they need to do better, he gets ripped because the offense sucks and what has he done all season to fix it. If he says...

I don't think he'll ever get a break by the Philly fanbase in anything until he's not here. That's my honest opinion. I think he could win 3 SB here and people would insist it had nothing to do with anything he did forever. Lol.

JFC Chan Gailey?

I'll be honest, this explains a lot. Good lord.

Well, he brought the situation onto himself.

He wasn't getting ripped last year when the offense had a clear identity and strength.

You mean that strength that we don't have the O-Line play to have this year which covered up the exact issues that we're having this year? That strength?

He's going to be ripped forever, it doesn't really matter how many SBs he wins.

I'm gonna deliver a steaming hot take to all of you about Jerry Jones. He's the reason Eagles fans (and Giants fans and Commander fans and who knows who else around the NFL) think of the Cowboys as their biggest rival. Imagine being so dominant and successful you have been able to acquire rent-free real estate in the heads of so many people that lasts for decades into your irrelevance. The guy has cognitive decline and massive egotistical and institutional inertia rooted in the 1990's...and maybe or maybe not clinical dementia...and is unfit to run an NFL franchise yet is somehow still doing it unchecked. But this damn guy clearly spanked the rest of the NFL hard enough and long enough that the scars are still raw. And he did it sufficiently alone that he embedded a scaffolding of protection around himself at the controls that they still can't hold his hand or redirect even now that he's losing his faculties.

How do you think the 83 year old in your life would do running an NFL franchise if they refused to listen to anyone?

Sorry, but you can't rewrite history like that. Dallas was hated here because of the 1970s... partly because how dominant they were against the Eagles and partly because they were shoved down our throats constantly. The Jimmy Johnson era (he was the architect, not Jerrah) was just the icing on the cake because we already hated them, and that group was just so unlikeable... all across the board. Dick Vermiel knew it when he got to town, and Buddy knew it when he got to town, and that was all long before Jerrah owned the team.

Need any proof that it was Jimmy and not Jerry... what has Jerry done since Jimmy left? Absolutely nothing. Literally a completely forgettable tenure as an owner, if we focus purely on the on field product.

He’s the HC. Even he said multiple times the blame falls on him. If the excuse is the O-line covered up issues last year that are exposed this year, that is an even bigger indictment.

Well, Jones immediately fired a HOF legend to hire Jimmy Johnson when he bought the franchise. Then he won the SB in the first year after (yes with his team). Hasn’t done much of anything since then but then again neither has Jimmy Johnson. Some people are better together.

Now here's a g-- [mute]

I mean that's just how he is, he accepts the position of the lightning rod.

Also it's not an excuse, it's just the truth. Kellen Moore is definitely overrated here, because the passing offense was really not the best, but people for some reason are forgetting that. The run game is what made it work last year. Actually, their effectiveness at the running game is what made the offense work every year that they did pretty well points wise. It's because the way the scheme is designed, you have two very key things - running game, and timing throws. Jalen isn't a timing guy, and our running game this year is kind of poor, so combine that with Patullo not being good at sequencing, and the result is what you see.

Isn't really that hard.

The bottom line is until Jalen can develop into being a higher volume passer, his success will very likely be tied to the effectiveness of the running game. That's not a bad thing, nor is it by itself a flaw of Jalen, but it's the reality of being a lower volume QB in the NFL. If the running game is not working, he and the passing targets must carry the team. If that can't happen, we always must have an effective running game. Anything else is a recipe for failure.

I don't love Hurts and that isn't a secret but the lights are on now. Lebron used to dog it during the season and go next level once the playoffs started. I think he is about to do the same.

My only concern is I believe in the defense, I mostly believe in playoffs Hurts, but that damn KP is going to do us all in. Can Hurts make enough plays to cover the ineptitude?

I feel he does this week and while playoff Hurts may be a problem for teams but playoff Vic and his playoff defense is going next level. We haven't seen the best they have to offer yet but it's coming.

Eagles 27

49ers 17

Purdy is sacked 5+ times

Probably right, he doesn’t make it easy to like him either. He's a complete and total tool

Actually, I want to revise this with something important.

*Luckily, he seems to get better at most things in the playoffs, so maybe limping to the playoffs and getting better Hurts is an effective strategy. We'll just have to see how well that works in the long term, I suppose.

spot on. If you're old enough to remember the fan in the stadium before the NFCCG leading up to the XV, pointing at the camera, "Dallas, we hate you..."

I actually started hating the Cowboys in the '60s, more than twenty years before Jerry Jones got involved. I never watched an NFL game prior to 1968, and after I went to my first game with my father I was an immediate passionate Eagles fan. The team sucked, but what can you do? And the very first team I learned to hate was the Cowboys. I hated the Rams too. And later on the Chiefs...and Vikings...and Steelers once they started getting good.

But the Cowboys hatred was always special. It has never waned.

Yep, my story is pretty close. The 1st game I can remember watching was the Vikings/Chiefs SB and starting the next year I was an Eagles fan and boy did they suck. There was a lot to hate including the CBS broadcasts which were like one big Dallas affair. They were on almost every week and the studio spent 50% of their time on them. Phyllis George was nice to look at but all she could do was slabber on Staubach each and every week. The entire America's Team thingy was irritating as well. Years later the entire Buddy/Jimmy feud with Jones in the background was just the next chapter in a long story.

Unlike you I don't go to many games but I was at the TO game which was a special one for Dallas hate. As you say, it never wanes.

It was the hype that made me hate them. Both from the media and from kids in school. Suburban Philly kids talking up the Cowpies. It sickened me.

I became an Eagles fan back in 1958, before the Cowboys even existed as a franchise. For me the hate will always be for the Giants much more than the Cowboys. Further, during the seasons up through my sophomore year in college the Eagles record against the Cowboys was 9-5. Hard to hate a team you are beating twice as often as they are beating you. T

My Giants hate was put on steroids when I went to college in New York State. The dorms were filled with obnoxious Giants fans.

Defensive Keys: Rattled Purdy, constant pressure. Stop CMC and Kittle

Offensive Keys: Power running game, Jalen scrambles, AJ/Devonta/Goedert screens/slants and bombs

Coaching Keys: RUN THE DAMN BALL
