Yesterday at 04:22 PM1 day @mattwill49ers 23, Eagles 17Fans blame Jake Elliott for missing kicks instead of piling on the moron OC overseeing only 2 TDs against a broken down defense.Bonus: DeJean INTUpside? Maybe such a performance will get Patullo fired and allow us to hire one of these available OCs. SB in 2026.

Our LBs are good in coverage, but they'll get eaten alive if they're the ones being tapped on the shoulder to handle him.Vic took Kelce out of the game in the SB by bringing a safety down and bracketing him on almost every drop back. I'd image something similar. The Giant would double Westbrook back in the day. Or maybe the DL gives him a shove coming out of the backfield like the Patriots did to Faulk in their SB.

Part of it is might not have been fully healed and came back too soon. Part of it he didn’t get to really do his normal training that he’s accustomed tooLets hope.

So they can definitely shift extra attention to CMC and Kittle with Coop and/or safeties, and let Q handle the boundary by himself.

Two people played better than Cam and will be on the bench. Play either of them and the line will look a lot better and possibly help cover Dickerson's limitations. They also play a TE who can't block which makes the OL look even worse.I don't want anyone to get injured, but if Cam and Calc went down again the offense would play better. That's not a wish, but a fact. It's this, Bigsby looked good against basically the Commies normal defense, because the center and left guard were blocking at an average NFL level, that's how bad our run blocking has been this year, it doesn't matter who's calling the plays if defenders are routinely getting into your backfield before the runner makes the LOS you're going to struggle.

So he just went with Panther (least wins) all the way to Patriots, Broncos, Seahawks who all have 14 wins. Dallas is in there because they have the Packers pick.

Vic has typically played gap and a half but it seems like they're basically one-gapping now ala Wade Phillips. Which I prefer anyway. Second, Shanahan moves CMac everywhere, pre-snap, post-snap, you name it. Having your DL key on him on the off chance he stays in the backfield long enough to get hands on him just isn't efficient. Better to just have them focus on beating their blocks rather than play peekaboo with the back. Third, CMac is deceptively strong. Gonna need more than just a shove on his way out of the backfield to truly disrupt his routes. Gibbs killed us when we faced the Lions, so hopefully Vic has us more prepared this time around because CMac is just as dangerous and I doubt Purdy will crap the bed like Goff did that night.

If Shanahan wants to flip our assignments, he just needs to line up in a 2x2 and motion a 3rd receiver late to Q's side. Depending on the call, this could iso Adoree against whoever Shanahan thinks is an ideal matchup.Thankfully, as you mentioned, they don't have any real weapons on the outside that could pose a serious threat. But I still expect them to make their share of big plays and would be shocked if we shut them down like we did to the Lions and Bills.

Our LBs are good in coverage, but they'll get eaten alive if they're the ones being tapped on the shoulder to handle him.I feel pretty confident that the Eagles D can duplicate what Seattle did last week....the pressure from rushing just 4 sped up the Niner offense. Purdy was just not finding the time to sit back and hit intermediate routes and there were no gaps to scramble through. CMC's opportunities were coming from short release passes and Seattle was really strong in open field tackles. That's been the Eagle MO this second half of the season. The big question for me going into this game, is can the Eagles minimize the Niner running game? If the Eagles can get a lead early, the Niners will become one-dimensional.
Yesterday at 05:27 PM1 day The danger of the Niners offense in recent years is the scheming to create a wide open receiver (either Kittle or Jennings) 15 yards in the middle of the field. Those plays are just back breaking when the defense has created 3rd and 7 opportunities. Purdy knows how to stay alive long enough for those routes to open up. He really gets antsy when the pressure up the middle is there and he makes mistakes.
