This is the 2nd time in 3 years we watched Nick do less with more. Howie wasn't perfect but he gave him a top 3 roster in the league and for the 2nd time in 3 years he got bounced in the first round because he picked someone absolutely inept as OC. It's 1k percent his fault. All that said he won't be fired for the reasons that were named
7 hours ago7 hr While it was certainly worth it and we'd all take it 100 times out of 100, I think the 2024 season had negative impacts on the 2025 season in many more ways than one.-The OL never fully recovered and it affected them drastically this season. And we hope not into 2026 as well.-Their unsustainable winning formula of coaching conservatively on offense, afraid to turn it over, and having a dominant run game ruined this season philosophically and left them with no answers on how to adjust when it wasn't working.-It bought Sirianni more equity when he's clearly overmatched as a head coach.-It hurt their ability to hire a better OC when Moore left, leading to Patullo.-It made their players more attractive and harder to retain in free agency.2024's success kinda ruined the 2025 season in a way. I'll take the trade off, but it's a twisted irony.

I think he’ll get a nice payday though. Hopefully it’s enough for a comp 4.Fangio likes him a lot - and he's a great fit for this defense - likely worth more to Fangio and the team than a 4th round comp pick (really early 5th round pick). So if he's willing to take a reasonable contract, good chance he's back, imo.

But, he's not putting the team on his back and willing them to victory playing with a bunch of nobodies, elevating them to success. For all that people want to rag on Carson Wentz (and his ending was bad here, no doubt), his 2019 season was outstanding from a production standpoint. To throw for 4000 yards with no single wide receiver going over 500 yards is an accomplishment. Doing it with the likes of Travis Fulgham, Greg Ward, JJAW, Agholor, a broken down Jeffery, a broken down Desean Jackson and by the end of the season, Deontay Burnett, is just amazing. I always wonder what would have been with him had he had the talent around him that Jalen has, and if he hadn't had the ACL/LCL injury and the shot to the back of his skull by Clowney.Instead, we have Hurts, who is a guy who generally won't make the big mistake, but rarely makes the offense better with his arm.I think Hurts has elevated those around him in the past…but primarily just in the running game. When he was a real threat to carry the ball, it made defenders play the Eagles differently. He made our oline look better (2 things can be true…the line was still great in past years, but he still aided them by removing a defender). He also elevated whatever RB shared the backfield with him for similar reasons. And it can be argued this aided the receivers as well because the defensive focus was more in the running game. But Jalen’s ability to elevate those around him disappears if he is not going to be a viable threat to run. He is then reverted into, as you said, a QB that at least avoids the big mistake. If he isn’t going to be a threat to run, then the Eagles need to start thinking about what comes next

I'll take the trade off, but it's a twisted irony. As everyone knows, its hard to repeat. And those are all reasons why. Ill take the every other year rotation though. So its also worth it to stick with Siri unless/until he ruins next season again.Hes as likely or more likely than anyone to bring us back to the bowl next season. Hell, we would be spoiled if we just kept winning it every 5 years like the 2017-2024 gap between lombardis. We really have become spoiled to the point of sounding absolutely ridiculous when it comes to our lack of patience with coaching. I said it last time fans thought Siri was on the hot seat. Teams like the Browns hire new HCs every year or 2. And eagles fans now expect to do the same thing and remain super bowl contenders. Its idiotic. We need to have more patience with a coach who has never missed the post-season and has brought us to 2 super bowls and won one with a terribly limited QB.

There was almost none.Id be careful about committing so much money to Davis and Nolan Smith. Because the interior got no push, and the edges were mostly ineffective all year long. Im actually at about 0% interest in retaining Smith.This. For what it’s worth. I think smith would make a better LB than a DE
7 hours ago7 hr Just now, greend said:Hypothetical question if Siri fires KP mid season. Do we win last night?I doubt it. The decision making/strategy from Sirianni really hampered this team's chances, imo. When was the last time you heard of the Eagles resting their starters when the #2 seed was on the line and easily within reach by the end of the last game? That alone speaks volumes, imo.
