He was kinda awesome

It’s almost like he was counting on GB being caught flat footed and expecting a draw them offsides play…

Run a slant with aj then. It’s hard route to cover him on anyway and if the defender is flat footed it’s going for close to a first.

They need a much better outing next week. I’m not sure my lucky shirt alone can get us thru that game.

I really just hate how that 4th down felt like such a forced play to appease AJ. People can act like it’s all media driven, but seeing dumb ish like that makes it hard to ignore.

Nah. I think that was Jalen's decision.

Hurts had to have called his own number there right? I still can’t process the coaches actually deciding to throw on that 4th down.

Physically or mentally?

I think he has physically declined (not to the point of being cooked, but to the point of no longer being a #1), which led to reduced usage (further compounded by our limited volume passing game), which has led to him checking out….put it all together and, while he may have a game here or there where he kinda/sorta goes off, he’s done like dinner here and is going to go out like a whisper from here on out…just a question of when it happens.

I really should go to bed but I decided to crack open another beer to hear Sirianni’s dope excuse for going for it.

This is the thing that pisses me off with that. First, when you had the possession before, run it on second down. Make them at least burn another timeout. So they only have one time out left. So then if you throw it on third down and don’t get it then they only have one timeout

you get the ball back. instead of running a play lIke a slant with Aj brown, the stupidity of all time stupidity is to go deep. we’re in week 10 and our coaching staff still doesn’t understand the hardest route to cover AJ Brown on is the slant. And yet how many did they run tonight and throw it to him? Maybe 1 or Zero.

This shouldn’t be that hard. There are teams dying to have the talent that we do and their offense is more consistent than ours. And they can function. So now we have the ineptitude from our offense, our offensive coordinator and absolute stupidity from our head coach. I’ve never been more irritated and irked after a win then watching what happened the last 3.5 minutes of this game

I see your point and even though I wanted to throw on that down, I sure as hell did not want brain dead mediocrity Cooper on chipping Parsons duty.

Take a look at that replay later. He decides not to bother to chip one of the best pass rushers of the last 25 years.

I think it’s more they thought they were slick converting it vs the Vikings and were like "Let’s run it again!” They make no sense. They coach scared in every other scenario but then coach with reckless abandon when they should be smart. It’s just the sign of a coach who doesn’t have his handle on things right now. Needs a talking to from Lurie, this isn’t good enough.

To go to AJ or to go on 4th in a stupid situation?

Well, going for it is going for it.

One remote possibility is that the coaches didn’t want to run a play there and Hurts went rogue. I doubt he did that. If they were going for it, any play was really equally stupid, be it a run, screen, slant, or deep ball to AJ…doesn’t even matter.

This is my biggest complaint about Sirianni. He has no philosophy besides going with his gut which we see with all the cowardly play calling for 3/4 of the game and then going ultra aggressive at the end is a recipe for disaster.

I can see why they may want to go for it. It is a 47 yard FG attempt in bad conditions but FG must be the analytically correct call. A punt takes more time off the clock than an incomplete pass and even with a touchback gives them worse field position. So I am not sure why that wasn’t the call. Maybe his gut was afraid of a mean AJ instagram post.

I really should go to bed but I decided to crack open another beer to year Sirianni’s dope excuse for going for it.

Did you see his route on the Devonta TD? He was probably writing a Twitter post midplay…

Honestly unacceptable. No issues shutting it down once the ball is in the air, but Jalen had the ball before he stopped.

Gonna focus on the defense, and great debut by Phillips. Welcome to a winning team.

Huh? Just punt. There was 30 sec left, GB would've had the ball at the 10 with no time outs.

This. If you take the delay of game five yard penalty to back yourself up more. You try to pin them inside the ten. If you even kick it into the end zone for a touchback then they are at the 20 with likely 20 seconds. That extra 15 yards they had to go is massive there with no timeouts. Going from the 35 in today’s nfl a normal kicker only need to gain 17-20 yards to have a shot. From the 20 you have to go 32-35 yards.

The Rams are playing at a whole different level than us right now…

Add the Seahawks to that list.

You really think he physically declined to where he’s not a #1 WR?! He’s easily a top 10 WR.

If you’re saying he’s checked out and/or something is just wrong with him mentally… you probably can build a case

They don’t have to get fancy with AJ. We know his strengths, and it really can’t be that hard to work them into the game plan. Yet here we are.

That was us a few years ago lol

Who would have thought we'd be treating it like this lol

W.

Detroit will think they can march in next week.

And then the rolling cloud of offense hits like the cartoons from yesteryear.

If I am Lurie I tell Howie and Siri that Siri has 3 cowards draws left for the 2025 Eagles. If he runs a 4th over the next 8 games and playoffs then he is fired.

Obviously Sirianni called for the punt but Jalen was too slow to process it and kept the offense on the field.

A.J. made very little effort to catch that ball. He never jumped an inch. Smitty would have at least jumped and tried to high point it. Pathetic effort.

lol..Devonte on the field after the game…he hates the cold!
