In other news...Nico Harrsion has finally been fired! After regular chants at home games of "Fire Nico!", ownership has caved.

That's more than fair.  I agree that fat slob Luka had to go instead of getting a mega max contract but it should have been a bidding war instead of negotiating with 1 team.

Luka has changed his personal fitness level but it only happened because he was shocked into it and feels differently in LA.

They begged him for years to get into shape in Dallas and he refused.

He cost himself about 100 million dollars.

We outplayed you guys.

Delusional

Hard to find a bright spot on the offense.

but ..... 7-2.

What?

Your sole TD was thanks to a tiky tack PI call that got your offense within scoring distance. Other than that play, our defense locked down your offense almost the entire game.

I felt at the time that that PI call was a payback for the similarly ticky-tack PI call on the Goedert play earlier in the game. Both of those PIs should not have been called.

The Fred Johnson conversation is interesting. I think he’s a very valuable piece but don’t know how it works money wise. Is he an eventual Lane replacement or do they want to go more of a blue-chip draft pick when that situation arises?

There are so many ways to improve this offense.

Hell, pay Vermeil to be a consultant and have a weekly 90 minute zoom call between him, Siri, and Patullo where Dick tells them to stop being stupid and explains why they are stupid.

Not scheme and calls, just basic football stuff that they are clearly not getting.

Milton Williams in 10 games: 27 tackles, 7 TFL, 3.5 sacks, 8 QB hits. Snap count: 392 (65.44%)

Moro Ojomo in 9 games: 20 tackles, 4 TFL, 4 sacks, 8 QB hits. Snap count: 384 (64.97%)

Ojomo is a FA after next season. Another guy who needs a contract. My gut tells me Howie learned a lesson from Milton Williams and pays Ojomo after this year. Davis walks and in 2026 Carter and Ojomo are the starters.

NFL Network's replay last night wasn't the whole game. They cut parts out.

Fred Johnson is the perfect stop gap RT on a 3-year deal. He can hold down RT while they find the replacement. It make it less of a need and let's the Eagles be patient and not force a move.

Did you also say jojodancer three times?

I’m not optimistic about this upcoming OT draft; a lot of underclassmen or guys who translate better at guard. Probably the usually lottery tickets, but Fred is ready to backup now. Can Lane play forever or least into 2027?

It’ll be fine. Hurts had a rough day against a good defense.

Couldn’t have asked for a better debut. He was firing last night. They don’t win that game without him.

There is a stat called passer rating that measures how a QB actually played.

Its based on TD% INT% completion% and yards per pass.

Love was 68.7

Hurts was 92.3

Was that part of the Packers outplaying the Eagles?

Who had more

Passing yards?

Rushing yards?

Total yards?

Turnovers forced?

Time of possession?

Better 3rd down %?

I think the word you chose is a perfect description for anyone who thought the Eagles were outplayed last night.

The Eagles offense was a mess last night. The Packers entire team was a mess last night.

I have seen others say this and it doesn't matter. Hurts should have never been on the field. Siri should have yanked him and the rest of the offense off the field and put the punt team out there. WORST CASE the punt is a touch back and you force them to gain an additional 15 yards or so from where they ended up with the ball with very little time and no timeouts. Best case you pin them inside the 10 and barring a legit miracle the game is over. It was one of the worst decisions I have ever seen a coach make.

I think worst case the punt is blocked or a bad snap and GB recovers alot closer to their FG target range. Dont know if that went into the thinking but still they should have just punted.

I don't think either call was ticky tack. The throw to DG was closer than it initially looked, without the contact I think he had a legit chance to make a catch. Would it have been an incredible catch? Absolutely, but with what these newer gloves are doing to prevent the ball from spinning on contact with a single hand makes any ball catchable. The later PI on PHI was PI, same concept, he altered the receivers ability to control his body to make a catch. It's hard enough to catch a ball in windy conditions as is, and when your body is getting tugged or bumped, especially in the air, it makes for a more difficult catch. If you are going to call the game as the rules are written both were PI.

Here is the way I judge penalties when they are called...switch the team/jersey around, if it were your team getting intefered with would you want it called and vice-versa? I really do try to see it from both perspectives, it makes it less stressful to watch a game when you take the personal feelings out of the situation. Several posters (more than not) here agreed with the late PI as it was called.

At the same time there are PI/holding calls that are ridiculous, especially those that occur completely away from the ball and the QB never even looked that direction during the play, those are infuriating.

nine games in, ranked 23rd in yrds/per game, 21st rushing, 25th passing.

i guess the one that matters most, which is points, they are ranked 12th. so, there's that.

Goedert is never making that catch.

The offense is happy to bleed clock, while the defense is designed to force long sustained drives… not exactly a fantasy football jackpot.

These will improve as the season progresses, and against better competition for the near stretch included in my estimation. I still feel that PHI will steadily develop into a more dominant team as the second half of the season progresses and they should be peaking at the right time for a solid postseason run. I think those rankings drop into the low teens by end of regular season.

Looked closer than I thought from the endzone angle - but uncatchable, if that is a thing anymore.

I still think there was something fishy with that Luka trade.

It's stupid enough to want to trade a top 5 player in their prime who just got you to the NBA finals. But if youre going to do that, why only negotiate with the Lakers? If youre really going to trade Luka, open it up to the entire league and say "OK NBA we're trading Luka......give us your best offer" Instead you get one 1st round pick and Anthony Davis who's still very good but everyone knows he cant stay healthy and is on the downside of his career.

I really think this trade was done on some shady terms maybe with the league secretly involved so the Lakers can get Luka.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't Hurts' fault. a pass rusher was closing in on Hurts so the ball had to get out. It was 0.25 seconds early.

I'll rewatch the play later.
