They looked almost charcoal on MNF. Really didn't match the green numbers at all. From far away you can't even tell they are black. Not a good helmet at all. Nice novelty helmet to sell as a collectible for folks who do that, but it's time to move on. This is sitting right there for the taking.

Yeh, I figured as much, it was just amusing, tons of respect for that guy, he's a fighter.

@Sack that QB might have been right with him saying why. It looked like what or why. But Jon asked him about it and went the way i thought it would if he were asked

Definitely. People should really be checking on the guy who has made 100+ million in his career, won a SB, and is currently going through such a hard time not getting enough targets. When I look at all of the people struggling to make ends meet, living paycheck to paycheck, just trying to provide for their families, my heart bleeds for AJ's lack of targets and his hissy fits over it on social media from his mansion are clearly a cry for help.

Do you think the same about Lane Johnson? Robin Williams? Anthony Bourdain? Kurt Cobain? Chris Cornell?

It's a common issue that celebrities and star athletes despite wealth, success and fame have mental health issues. The pressure and being in the spotlight all the time can take its toll. Mental health is the reason he suggested people check on AJ Brown, not his fantasy football stats. Cowboys player just last week committed suicide after having a good game and returning a blocked punt for a TD. Cobain used to rock out a full stadium concert to fans cheering, then go back to the dressing room and turn the lights off, curl into a ball and want to hide from the world.

AJ Brown has been open about his past suicidality, his depression and mental health struggles. He's tried to help others and started a clothing line to bring awareness. He wore that jacket "Check on your teammates."

It's possible that being such a high performer with high expectations causes depression when he's not performing to those expectations. It's easy to just mock him and think he's an a-hole, but his teammates and coaches don't think that of him. They talk highly of him and made him a captain. Mike Vrabel was mad the Titans traded him. His teammates and coaches know him better than bums on a message board mocking him.

Now, if it's not tied to his mental health and he's just being selfish then I get the criticism. But if he's struggling with his mental health, then I hope and pray he gets the help he needs.

Depression/mental health issues don't care about whatever accomplishments and accolades you have, nor material things. You strike me as a person that simply lacks empathy, and or has low emotional intelligence.

Yeah, I guess we should be upset he didnt hit a 2 yard pass. I am talking about the overall scheme and design. For example, KP has them running heavy, bunch formations in the middle of the field which brings almost the entire defense into the box. I get what he trying to do, overpower the defense but like you said the OL hasn't played that well and outside of Goedert the TEs can't block. I could understand that formation in a short yardage/goal line situation. To run it on 1st or 2nd down in the middle of the field makes no sense. If you want to run the ball, spread it out, draw defenders out of the box and give the RB some space to operate. Just one example, but there is no rhyme or reason to this offense and that starts with the OC/HC

Don't disagree at all. But Stoudt is run game coordinator so he must be signing off on those heavy sets as well. The offense is too predictable too often, teams are not afraid of our offensive line, in fact, it gets dominated frequently. I don't remember the last time our RBs got hit and taken down at or behind LOS so often every game.

And they are trying very hard to turn Hurts into a pocket passer. I agree it's smart to help keep him healthy, but it also eliminates one of his game changing abilities.

Anyone in here like the black helmets? I most certainly do not.

The black helmets are ok in and of themselves, but I don't love them. I think the black alternates around the league have lost their intrigue. Too many teams have tried to have this bad ass intimidating look. It used to be fun for the Giants games in the other look you posted about as well. But now that Kelly Green alternates are back, fans are more excited about those. The Raiders look great in the silver and black. I just don't think of black when it comes to the Eagles. The midnight green is already dark. So the Kelly Green serves as a more standout alternate. Now a lot of teams are going the other direction and doing white out "ice" look with white helmet and minimalist logo. Some teams make that look better than others. I think what's best for the Eagles is Kelly Green, and what they should really do is bring back the gray pants combo.

If it's frustrating for us, imagine being in the offensive meeting rooms with this coaching staff

What are the rules regarding the reserved/retired list? How soon can you take someone off of it? I assume there has to be something, otherwise it could just be manipulated to avoid releasing guys and having other teams snatch them up.

Chris Cornell

Top 5 and my favorite vocalist of all time. Still not convinced his death was suicide, he was shedding some light on some things that scared some powerful people. EDIT: BTW, this is one conspiracy theory that I actually have read up on.

And Jameis Winston! They should give him a full episode of just following him around on the bye week.

Players have to file retirement papers with the league and if they want to come back, file for reinstatement. So basically Goodell or someone else up in power monitors it all and would put a quick stop if teams tried to do that. Players also wouldn't be getting paid and basically held hostage in that scenario which the NFLPA would never let happen.

I'm sure Sirianni is yet again thrilled having to answer for AJ Brown, this time about his offense being a ish show.

Also kind of disrespectful to players like Lane, Dickerson and Jurgens battling through injuries every week.

So the Eagles traded a sixth for a seventh for what in essence is the right to Alexander should he decide next year he is healthy and can play. Contract is tolled if a player under contract retires. Arguably the same for Z Smith but with Alexander’s age I would think the latter has more potential value.

On a side note:

Every time AJ expresses his displeasure:

WIP hosts vocally: "I don't want to keep talking about this! I'm tired of this!"

WIP hosts internally:

I’ve been thinking who does this team remind me of that I’ve seen in the past, and I keep going back to the 2024 Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs defense was good and could keep them in almost every single game so they’d have a chance to win when at times their offense at times looked sluggish or not where you felt they should’ve been. Some games the defense wasn’t as great but for a majority of the time they held their end of the bargain. Like the three weeks where they scored 19, 19 and 21 against the Raiders, Chargers and Browns. Or the time were Kansas City looked like they were gonna lose to Denver and they blocked a field goal at the buzzer to win. Very similar to what happened with the Eagles and the Rams. Or the two Chargers games that came down to the wire and their defense held them in for much of the game until the offense did just enough

I don’t know what the analytics compared to this team look like. But that’s how it feels when I watch them and when I would watch Kansas City last year. Kansas City got to the Super Bowl, but they ran into a team that didn’t allow their defense just to keep them in it until they could do enough to win. And an opposing defense that took advantage of their offense being very sporadic. They just got bullied.

I’m very sensitive to mental health issues as are most people but it normally doesn’t involve crying over targets.

If he has some issues unrelated to football going on then stop complaining about your role in the offense because that has nothing to do with mental health.

He could both have mental health issues and be an Ahole but the complaining about the offense part is the Ahole part.

Mahomes was maximizing what was available given the their OL ability and receiving options. There wasn't another gear.

We have a much higher ceiling than what we've shown. That is where the combined state of frustration and optimism comes from.

The AJ Brown discussion is maddening, because there are people out there who will tell you he's trying his best (not the case) or that he's washed (also not the case). It just sucks.

He's not an ahole, he's frustrated. As we all are. He hasn't thrown anyone under the bus and hasn't acted like a jerk and he's not an issue in the locker room. He's close with all his teammates and they don't have a problem with him venting.

He just doesn't have the emotional fortitude to keep it bottled in like some players do. It is what it is. Not everyone can do that as well as others.
