Hurts honestly might end up getting a lot of people fired. It feels like eve

I'd say he's gotten more people promoted than fired.

I don't see the Lions blowing out the Eagles. The Eagles had their blowout game and that was the Giants.

If the Lions win I think it will be by ~one score.

The Lions just lost to the Vikings a couple weeks ago, they're not some juggernaut like everyone seems to think. If the Eagles get to Jared Goff they'll win, and I think they will get to him

I expect these guys to play, but the Lions are limping a bit.

@mattwill I genuinely think we're going to get destroyed. I've thought so for months. In my mind, it's exactly like the scenario two years ago when San Francisco came to town. In that instance it just felt to me that the Niners had worked up so much revenge their NFC Championship Game loss and were just going to be laser focused on tearing us up. Which is exactly what happened. I think the same sort of thing applies to the Lions. I'm sure they still feel they were the best team a year ago (they probably weren't but I can see why they might think that way) and have been gearing up for this very game all season long. I'm not saying they're the better team but I just have the vibe that they're going to play a great game and we're going to be kinda flat after a short week. I see this as sort of similar to this year's Rams game, except that the Lions won't let the Eagles come to life in the second half.

Lions 36 Eagles 11

BONUS: Eagles lose the turnover battle.

I had this as a schedule loss since May. Short week against a team that likes to get up against good teams. Monday night road games means you don't practice at all on Wednesday. Oh, and the Lions are great at running the ball/stopping the run.

Can we beat the Lions? Yes.

But we need their injuries to actually be real + have a 66-33% pass-run split. We're going to aim for 50-50 and get crushed.

Yeah, I think the Eagles win.

I most certainly don't think they are getting blown out 2023 9'er style.

The thing it seems many of us disagree on with you is that we don't find it reasonable for Brown to go public with his frustrations time and time again. Keep that internal.

Other than that, Hurts is who he is as most of us have said now for a couple of years. He's good enough to win the SB with this team and in the end that's really all the team cares about. If Brown doesn't want to be part of that and accept less stat wise at the same time then I think he needs to go. He hasn't gone all TO yet but the continual public beetching is most certainly causing problems.

I dont think you disagree with me because Id prefer it private as well.

Theres also a large part of me that enjoys someone shining a light on an issue that Siri, and Hurts supporters would rather sweep under the rug. And provides more pressure for the team to change. Siri just gets short and snippy with reporters if they question him on real issues, which helps silence the discussion. AJ is keeping it on the radar, which can certainly be a good thing in a way. And you can tell it really makes RTK uncomfortable.

this alone makes it productive.

Well, the RTK stuff is certainly a value add. In any case, I'd prefer the rest to be left alone during a season where we can legitimately win another SB. Take it once the jig is up.

The Lions can feel anyway they want, but they laid a giant egg, AT HOME, against the Commies. So, they can be as frustrated as they want about being the better team, but they weren't even good enough to get a shot at knocking the Eagles off. Too bad, so sad.

Just like the Phillies could say that they were the better team than the Dodgers, but at least they had a shot at them, and they couldn't get it done. They crapped the bed throughout that series, which I truly believe they should have won. But, they didn't. The Lions can use their failure to fuel them this year, but if its directed at the Eagles its misguided in a big way. The 49ers, on the other hand, had an opportunity against the Eagles and lost it due to losing their QB getting injured.

I can see the Eagles getting beat on Sunday, but I don't see this defense getting gashed like happened against the 49ers. I just think that Fangio will do enough to keep the offense in the game, even if they can't score. As long as the offense doesn't turn the ball over a ton (and I can't remember the last time that happened), I think the game will be relatively close at worst.

But, I'm a C-eyed optimist. 🤷‍♂️

I wish we had an HC that could call plays but Nick just isn't that guy. It's possible he's learned to be better than he previously was but I seriously doubt it

I waffle on this. Not sure how possible that is with Vic upstairs…rewatch Monday again to see why. MLF spent half of each defensive series in the back glued to his play sheet not watching the field on the phone/headset. Now this is why there is Assistant HC’s (Singleton) and….Assistant to the HC? Dwight Shru…I mean Peterson. Having Nick continue to give input while allowing him to run the show/orchestrate is the best path for success IMO. I still think the issue revolves around experience at the primary play caller level.

They were injured the last time we played them too IIRC

Nobody was more motivated than the Chiefs, the Eagles totally embarrassed them in the SB. Eagles won anyway.

Same with the Rams, Eagles beat them twice and knocked them out. The Eagles found a way.

Same with the Packers. Lost twice, knocked out. Eagles win.

Not worried about any of the motivation stuff. It's just going to come down to the Eagles not being stupid on offense, and maybe wearing the right cleats.

If we played you guys 10 times we would win 9. Love had Jacobs wide open on a screen play and he would have went for a Touchdown had he caught it. Eagles aren’t that good.

You couldnt beat the cowboys and lost to the browns and panthers lol

Kelce is clearly in denial and just doesn’t understand how NFL locker room dynamics work. He needs to speak to RTK and T1000 to get educated.

Oh - so you think we need to fire Sirianni?

I’d be OK healthy scratching Brown for a game. Maybe that wouldn’t stop him from being a whiny €unt but it sets a good tone for the rest of the team

What good tone? AJ Brown is correct in calling out what has been a terrible passing offense this season.

Belichick is the right choice because he connects to the Gen Z players.

That's going back a bit (9/11/2022) - no problem running the ball or finding AJ... good day for Swift.
