So you’re saying more condensed sets with stacked out routes?🤩

When it comes down to it..I like what Bill Walsh and WCO used to do with 3 receivers attacking one side of the field each at a different level. How those three receivers get there is about the scheming. They should not necessarily be lining up and going to spots from the same side of the LOS ..it is nice to get an additional receiver coming from the backside. It is much like forking moves in chess. The multi-layer presence puts pressure on individual defensive players to choose where to go and who to cover...someone is always opening..and it is very easy to see and read for the QB.

I suggested at the time if the NFL ever adopted an NBA-like logo (Jerry West), this should be the silhouette they use.

Eagles - 34

Lions- 38

Bonus: Gibbs gets 2 TD, Lions force a big TO on Hurts

The Eagles Offense comes to life but its not enough to win this shootout. Eagles suffer their loss of the year.

This Defense giving up 38 points? I don't think so!

The Lions can feel anyway they want, but they laid a giant egg, AT HOME, against the Commies. So, they can be as frustrated as they want about being the better team, but they weren't even good enough to get a shot at knocking the Eagles off. Too bad, so sad.

Just like the Phillies could say that they were the better team than the Dodgers, but at least they had a shot at them, and they couldn't get it done. They crapped the bed throughout that series, which I truly believe they should have won. But, they didn't. The Lions can use their failure to fuel them this year, but if its directed at the Eagles its misguided in a big way. The 49ers, on the other hand, had an opportunity against the Eagles and lost it due to losing their QB getting injured.

I can see the Eagles getting beat on Sunday, but I don't see this defense getting gashed like happened against the 49ers. I just think that Fangio will do enough to keep the offense in the game, even if they can't score. As long as the offense doesn't turn the ball over a ton (and I can't remember the last time that happened), I think the game will be relatively close at worst.

But, I'm a C-eyed optimist. 🤷‍♂️

Eagles 24

Lions 20

@mattwill

Until this return to loyalty came in, the 14 predictions were running more than 2 to 1 for the Lions ... 4 for an Eagles win and 10 for an Eagles win.

Not going to beat the two teams we already beat.

And the Seahawks who's Strength of Schedule is ranked 15 of 16 in the NFC. Only the Bears have had an easier schedule. 5 of the current top 6 seeds in the AFC have an easier SoS than the Seahawks including the Pats and Colts. Not seeing a whole lot that's scary at the moment.

Siri and this clown have been spewing the same garbage all season. I can’t watch their pressers anymore

Off Topic rant for those in the younger demographic:

I was asked by a headhunter if I was interested in interviewing for a position with a large (very large) company to help run their manufacturing plant. I told her I was reasonably happy where I am but inquired about salary. She quoted me about 25% above where I am now, so I told her I'd be open to a discussion.

The interview was 4 weeks ago, tomorrow. They told me near the end of the interview "We'll let you know either way; we won't leave you hanging for 4 weeks not knowing." They made a point of saying that. Guess what? Tomorrow will be 4 weeks with no word. Of course, I know I won't be selected. That was pretty obvious to me after about one week of not hearing, but it's funny what you pick up on with these people who do interviews.

The biggest red flag was the interview didn't start on time. I can't stand that. Interview is supposed to start at 2:00pm but I'm sitting there at 2:05 waiting for them to call me in. Might as well just walk out, because they're telling you your time isn't as important as theirs-- and if that's how they treat you in the interview process, imagine how you'll be treated as an employee. My brother tells me a story about a time many years ago where he was in an interview and the interviewer kept answering the phone! When the interview was concluding and the interviewer asked, "when can you start if you're offered the position?" my brother told him, "Sorry; I wouldn't take the job if you offered it to me" and walked out.

It gives me a better appreciation for where I am now.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet but weather Sunday night is forecast partly cloudy, mid 30's and wind west 14 gusting 31. Just the ticket for a dome team.😀

AJ Brown is about to have a monster game this Sunday and this will be behind us. Gone are the days of only 2 catches.

I'm guessing 4 catches for 31 yards.

Flood left or flood right with the late trail receiver from the backside like you’re saying. Only bad thing is you have to roll that way if protection breaks down, otherwise it’s a throw away or qb run in most cases.

Might be misleading or missing context but that is odd to me

But I'm all for whatever works

Lurie probably said to Dom "hey Dom, go get AJ and bring him to me. I wanna talk to him."

As broke as he is, Lurie is still the boss.
