Interesting. I thought all the buzz about the Lions last season was that Ben Johnson was the Offensive brains of the team, and thet they were going to suffer as a result of Johnson moving to the Bears.

On the surface it might seem like they haven't skipped a beat without Johnson, but below the surface, the cracks are more apparent, which is why Campbell decided to take over play calling from Morton. And so far, it seems to be an improvement but only time, and tougher defensive opponents, will tell. If only we could be so lucky.

Coming off a short week after a horrendous offensive showing, and it seems they made zero adjustments during the bye. The defense is playing fantastic, but they can't win us every single game.

Did you know that you can get the NHL Center Ice equivalent (all out of market NHL games) included in the ESPN streaming service?

Me neither!

I had to do about 10 minutes of research online to find out that this existed.

They also have a great value deal with Disney+, Hulu, and HBO Max.

They have a terrible value deal with Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+

They have no bundle for all 4.

They need to talk to Jerrah about how to make the money.

I was watching the MIN-DET game, and aside from attacking Gibbs in pass protection which has been discussed - Terrion Arnold is awful at getting off blocks and tackling. We haven't run the dreaded bubble screens in awhile, but they are good against zone defenses and passive DBs.

Also, it will be nice to get away from the silent count at home. GB and likely other teams, not only can time-up their pass rush but they're also using it as a visual queue to rotate their safeties up or back (as we are locked into our play at that point).

As long as they’ve actually practiced it and Devonta catches instead of blocks, it’s a good idea.

Payton speaks very highly of him. My brother is a huge lions fan. I guess Campbell pulled play calling from Ben Johnson at week 9 his first year as the coordinator and took over. Same thing as this year.. he’s a legit coach.

Last year Paramount+ (which I pay only $2.50 per month for, paying a full year at a time) started broadcasting the CBS local games. I didn't see it advertised, just saw it one time opening the app.

Did you know Fox has a streaming service called Fox One? They also stream the Fox game of the week: just one game, the one that is the national broadcast for now. It has other sports too.

It's a myth that Hurts won't throw him the ball. He does, and has. Just 2 games ago (for AJ, because he missed the 2nd Giants game, where he likely would have feasted like the rest of the offense), he had his biggest game of the year with 121 yards and 2 TDs...then complained after that he still wasn't being used enough. Prior to that, 6 catches for 80 yards. And an earlier game 6 catches, 109 yards and a TD.

Some intelligent folks on twitter and in the blog posts have pointed out that defenses are running zone since AJ and Smitty will destroy man coverage. The routes shown are simple and not designed well to get the most out of it. Sirianni also has said for 2 seasons now that his top priority is efficiency and not turning the ball over. Hurts last year said they "took the straight jacket off" and earlier this year said they should not play scared, play to not lose. It's not Hurts. Nick wants to limit turnovers and play safe, conservative and lean on the run. Patullo has had to adjust since the O line was banged up and the run game wasn't there until recently.

When they need to, all of a sudden they start launching it deep and both AJ Brown and Smith have been benefiting from deep passes. Goedert is also a safety net who is open because the two WRs are the focus.

Hurts has his limitations and weak areas just like every QB, but the coaches are hurting the offense in the scheme, design, routes they call and playing safe and conservative. It's not Hurts fault that on 3rd and long Patullo calls a cowards draw, or keeps calling runs right up the middle for Barkley to get stuffed instead of getting him outside. Everyone takes accountability: Siri, Patullo, Hurts. There's also times AJ doesn't execute his full route, while other times he does and even last week did great blocking on run plays. Everyone is responsible to improve the offense. But it is a myth and simply wrong that Hurts won't throw to AJ. He does, and he has.

Also to be clear, it's upscaled 4k, native broadcast format is limited to 1080p, but the quality is still noticably better.

He took over play calling from Anthony Lynn, not Ben Johnson.

I think the Eagles are losing this one, but that Lions RZ defense looks horrific. Not exactly playing world beaters this season.

I think Campbell is a team builder/culture guy like Sirianni. His bad decision last year was not resting the starters in a meaningless game. It's hard to know if it cost them the game but it cost them their starting RG who injured his hamstring in the game.

Yeah, take a look at how often his WRs win.

All QBs can make easy throws. How often do they complete the hard ones?

Stafford is still impressive in 12th. Hurts is 3rd. Hurts is the better player before you start including the running factors.

Hurts is top 10 every year of his career.

He's just a great QB. The stats, wins, and next gen stats all say so.

QBR is fake. EPA per play is team and theory. Improving your odds to score points each play will never be as valuable as actually scoring points.

Oh, it's one of those I hadn't researched it further because it wasn't every Fox game.
