I know RTK posted it. No idea how it quoted you instead. I think someone on here mentioned that's been happening lately with others as well. Some board glitch.

It happened to me in the game day thread Monday.

Lions GW FG

And what just happened in the Texas-Georgia game is a HUGE reason for why the NFL cut off their nose to spite their face with their stupid new rule. nonono

Surprise onside kick after a huge TD and they steal a possession and are stepping on the jugular.

This is totally absurd. That's what it looks like when you just have too much money. They could pay a couple boomers to keep up the field for about 0.0001% of the cost of that insane amount of technology....for grass. And I bet it will still be slippery as F because the NFL is bad at it's job.

Don't love it with how our defense had struggled with defending the run (seems better the last 2-3 games) and we can't run outside of that Giants game. Eagles shouldn't wait to rotate in Tank to get some runs if Barkley isn't hitting them early. If anything go with Tank early to hit them with those just run right at and through them runs and then switch it up with Barkley after the Lions defense has been run through the ringer a bit with Tank.

Tbh the nfl did a good job giving some teams easy schedules to keep ther fan base hopeful. The bears schedule has been pretty fortuitous til now. The only team over .500 they’ve faced is lions. Before the season ravens would’ve been tougher and when they faced them they were struggling

To be fair the Patriots and the Bears were one of those teams the last 3 years that were on other teams schedules to weaken their strength of schedule. Now they are beating those kind of teams.

I'm not saying they are great or contenders but, they both made good improvements from what they have been over the last 5 years or so

The schedule is 85% formulaic. NFL is more lucky that these seemingly lesser teams have a more favorable schedule.

I should've phrase it better. Not the teams but when they faced teams in their schedule and teams we mostly thought would be good. I view it as more the bears could’ve had GB split up once early and once late. Didn’t happen. And teams like Pittsburgh and SF split up earlier. they lucked out that burrow got hurt and commanders took a step back. However also had New Orleans, giants, Dallas and Vegas the first half of the year. Tbh we kind of knew those teams were likely mediocre or bad. Could’ve split those up first half and second half. 2 of their next 8 games are teams over .500. Really the 6 games are all teams we figured were probably playoff teams in Gb, Philly, lions, niners and borderline with Steelers. Imo if they played their back half of the schedule first, they might be closer to 3-6 or 4-5

I think who you play is obviously based off last years finish but the luck is based off when you face a division. Like afc east with NE getting nfc south (bad besides Tampa) and afc north (down year) and their division having the jets and dolphins.

In fairness they also got some good fortune and ball bounce their way to beat some of those bad teams. Beat commanders by 1, Vegas by 1, cincy they had a crazy blown game and then won and giants they were down 10 with 4 mins left. Bears won those games so credit to them but feels like they aren’t that much better than those teams. I think it’s telling the ravens and lions are two best teams they’ve faced and lost by 31 and 14

Seattle's rise making that Rams-Seahawks game almost overshadow this Lions @ Eagles game is a shame. The two top teams in the NFC since the 49ers have crumbled. Haven't played since the first game of the 2022 season. They were the inevitable playoff matchup for the NFC last year but it didn't happen. Now both teams meeting in November on SNF both at 1st in their divisions and trying to get the #1 seed. It'll be surprise if it isn't the highest rated non-Thanksgiving regular season game this season.

Just watched the Eagles Packers highlights.

Not only are we going to the Super Bowl, but we are also going to win it.

This defense is about to GO OFF. And the run game too.

Look, I don't know if we are going back to the Super Bowl....but jesus, everyone around here is so negative and that's coming off of winning the Super Bowl in a belt to ass fashion. We have played Tampa (road), KC (road), Green Bay (road), Vikings (road), Rams (here), Broncos (here) and while the Cowboys aren't that good on defense, their offense is one of the best in the NFL, opening against them at home....that schedule is fing ridiculous (The Anti-Patriots Schedule). You have 4 or 5 top 10 defenses and tough road games. We are 7-2! Yes the offense hasn't looked great....maybe you need to take a step back and go....hmmm, playing Green Bay on the road in the wind and cold when GB has a Top 5 defense in Yards and Points, maybe playing Tampa, where the Eagles have a history of doing nothing, Rams and KC both with top defenses and revenge motivation and say.....WOOOOOO HOOOOOO.

We analyze everything so deep on the Eagles and what's wrong....no what happens, you don't appreciate what's right. I'll come from the "Gratitude" side of things. I'll take another opposite take, the only thing I really hate (besides Patullo's offense) is the fact we are beating all these teams that we may have to face again! I'm always a bit tentative/scared having beat the team in the regular season and then having to face them again in the playoffs.

And even if the Eagles don't win against the Lions, no....the sky isn't falling (unless it's a 49'ers type loss from two years ago, then maybe a lot of worry). They are going to win the division, they are going to have a chance to repeat. And like was said in the quote, this defense is just going to keep getting better and better. You're scared? Fasten your seatbelt, enjoy the ride!

Game today

Yeah Neal has a lot of tools and upside he just cant stay healthy and hasnt put it together .

Id take a chance on him as an eventual lane replacement.

He's ponderous, lacks quickness, and can't change direction. He's a big, strong traffic cone. He's dreadful at tackle and hopeless at guard. Other than that he's terrific.

Thanks for the recommendation. I was thinking of going to bed, but I'll stay up to watch now. 😄

How did you like the play, Mrs. Lincoln?

NFL schedule is a rotating formula that is pre-determined. They don’t set it up based on trying to give fan bases I hope. The only thing the NFL schedule makers do is determine the dates of the matchups…
