I agree with everything you said. Except I don't see hurts going anywhere. With those suggested IR moves I could see the team still going 6-1 down the stretch. I think the Cowboys are going to be tougher than some people think. The Eagles are still the much better team. The Bears are very beatable. The Chargers are decimated by injuries. That will basically be a home game as will. The Bills game is the only one that really concerns me .

First of all dgunn is not on the mt Rushmore of anything. Second he’s been tweeting this anti-hurts stuff for 2 years even before the SB winning season. JAKIB media is a poor man’s WIP which is pretty sad because WIP is a poor man’s station to begin with

Hurts is a winner. He has proven me wrong multiple times and is a SB winning MVP who is the only QB to start in 2 SB's in franchise history...and has an absurd record that may never be matched again in this franchise. That said...I can't help it...I will always longingly wonder what this offense could look like with a more traditional and comfortable passing QB. We'll never know. I don't need to win that argument. Seeing them win a SB was more than enough.

This team is too entrenched in their window of opportunity and Hurts has done too much to really entertain those thoughts. They will live or die with him..for now. That said...when the Eagles do turn over their offense and reconstruct it, I absolutely do not think they should do so around Hurts at QB. He is too limited and forces them to play one very specific style of football that they may not be able to get the right personnel for. I really have minimal interest in watching a 30+ year old Jalen Hurts as the QB in this offense.

He was a pretty good playcaller in college and seems to have a good relationship with hurts as his qb coach

Only 21M? That seems off. I thought I saw @vikas83 saying it was a like 30M or 40M just for AJ

It's 21M above their current cap hit, so the actual cap hit is much higher.

Something tells me Siri and Howie really wanted Moore to run it back but this was Moores time, he’s been OC for a while. But Siri could use that SB victory as leverage and pitch the promotion to Howie/Lurie. If I was a betting man I would think that Howie was willing to grant Siri his wish but knew there was risk with inexperience. But now that Howie could almost walk into Siri office and say look, this is backfiring, something has to change, we’re not just bad, we’re terrible. Make the change if we want another shot at a SB

Yep, said something similar. He's way over his head. The early 2000s Bucs/Ravens teams had generational defenses and bad offenses, but you expected that with the talent they had on that side of the ball. There is no excuse for this Eagles team. They just won a SB and have generational talent on the OL, WR, and RB. Hurts isn't a great passing QB, but Nick is pushing protect the ball too much, and the OC is not ready. Even still, he shouldn't look like this. I've said this a few times, but Howie is always on the hunt for better talent to improve the roster, but he's content with this crap we are seeing from KP without pushing a consultant on Nick? If that pisses him off, then too bad.

They need another mind in there because there is no excuse for this crap with the players they have. That doesn't mean everything has to change, but someone needs to help them tweak things or to radio down to KP during the game and say I'm seeing this, so try this next series. That also doesn't mean they are going to be suddenly be the Rams of the early 2000s. I'd be happy with not using two TE who suck even though it doesn't work, not having the worst 3 and out in the league, and better trees. It's not too much to ask, but they aren't capable.

If the Eagles meet expectations this year, that would be 3 SB appearances in 4 years. Trading Hurts in 2027 would be jaw-dropping.

I am almost 100% sure that at least 1 of Brown and Patullo won’t be back in 2026. No way you can bring back all 3, and Jalen ain’t going anywhere.

So now everyone forgets the past and spins this narrative that Hurts has to have all stars around him to win or he sucks. They also forget the games where AJ hasn't played and yet Hurts delivered to Smitty and Goedert who have good games when AJ is out.

Respectfully, that's not what I said. What I said was, they worked hard on making sure Jalen lacks exactly nothing during the time he's been the Eagles QB. That is a statement about the building philosophy of the team, and where they're investing their resources, not about Hurts' level of play without weapons. I was saying I have my doubts the TEAM would build that way, based on how they've approached things so far in his career.

This organization loves Hurts, Brown and Smith…..last year you saw what this offense can do with an experienced coordinator. This year we’re spinning our wheels with someone who is "learning”….just not a good fit

Yup, Calcaterra played over 30 snaps and was awful on all of them, why not go more 3 WR sets.

Instead we get patullo trotting out 3 TE sets and designing plays for Granson

Ive never watched an offense I hate more than this one, I imagine its like driving a ferrari and never getting out of neutral.
