Lot of 'Dallas is the real test' energy on the board Today

More so "heavily unlikely we finish 15-2, and nearly all great teams have some losses against scrubs”

This is the most meaningless game we’ve played against Prescott since 2017, and they’re fighting for their playoff lives

Good news. I got an email back from VABeach_Eagle, he is ok. He has been tending to his mother's health as she's been in the hospital, and exhausted lately. He says he will be more available to log on

Good to know the board doesn't use cloudfare

If the Eagles can’t put up 20+ vs Dallas then there needs to be changes made in the playcalling department.

We had ours already against the Giants. A let down game this week undoes the good that the last two games did for the Eagles. The Eagles don't have to dominate the Cowboys, but they have to find a way to win.

I've been meaning to post on Phillips. What a breath of fresh air. The only thing that hits me strange is the number. I can't remember anyone in the organization wearing 50 that made an impact. I searched the number and the best I can find is Guy Morriss from the 70s into the early 80s. Not a bad thing. I definitely think he can bring some honor and glory to that number. I mean, I'm already searching out 50 on the field.

Mike Singletary… I don’t think Phillips had a lot of choices post-trade.

Mark Simoneau is the only Eagle #50 that readily comes to mind.

Yup, it is curious that whenever tank comes in he has room to run.

Tank tends to bounce runs to the outside, whereas Saquon is more between the tackles as a runner. Perhaps if the O was smarter, they'd have snaps with 2 RBs on the field and stress the D a little more.

Hot Take!

That's the extent of my worry about this game - if I knew we'd score 21 than I'd be more confident. Jalen was a big factor in the last game running the ball, perhaps this is another spot -or- maybe he'll regain his touch in a dome.

I always remember Simoneau as number 53. I forgot that he also wore 50. Bryan Braman wore 50 too.

Good one - RIP Bryan.

Calcaterra towel

Thanks Patullo and Nick, we definitely need to see this 20-something times per game. Good call.

Calcaterra as a lead blocker is offensive malpractice.

manage to get back to the superbowl and somehow win, no ones going to care about the " stats"

That's it in a nutshell. If they lose in the playoffs especially due to a crappy offensive performance, Kevin P might want to have his resume updated.

My predictions for Sunday:

1) The offense will play well

2) Quality of the opposing defense will suddenly become an important part of the Patullo discussion

I guess this is that time of the season again where the media and fans say, "The Eagles need to do such and such or they won't win". There's only 7 games left, there aren't many more games to keep saying that. They are 8-2 while "Winning" this way. Could the Eagles win out? Sure. Everyone left on the schedule has shown weaknesses this season just like we have. I'm confident in this team to finish strong. I do believe they slip up maybe one more time and go 6-1. Worst case to me is 5-2 so we are looking at another 13-14 win season again. To be clear, I believe the Eagles are better than everyone left. This Bills Game in Buffalo in the cold of December will probably be our hardest game down the stretch. Maybe Chargers as we don't play them very often. Not scared of Raiders, Boys or Washington. Chicago is a scrappy team but they will have to come on the road on Black Friday not concerned.

Don’t hold your breath, we’ve played 10 games and KP/Siri still haven’t found any answers to their elementary scheme.

Hope you're right, although this is not the same DAL defense they've shown all season.

They've added a lot of pieces and I expect them to be better.

But that might mean Grant Calcaterra isn't in as the blocking TE.

F this offense, if they aren't going to utilize it properly why waste the money? Send AJ somewhere else. Smitty is a superior #1 at this point. Draft a 2, keep Dotson as 3 (if he would even want to stay). Draft a TE.

Basically flip the script, instead of drafting on defense to keep it cheap, draft cheap offensive pieces to pay the defense. We have a young group with an established DC who isn't a Fing idiot and isn't going anywhere. The offense is a revolving door helmed by a head coach with zero clue on scheme.

Of course, it probably isn't feasible. But if it was, I'd be all for it if they could just keep smitty and saquon. They would never trade hurts in this scenario, but I would. Jettison AJ and Hurts for picks, draft offense and pay the young defense.

I tend to think they will balance it out. Probably can't keep everyone on defense so decisions will be made again. But they definitely need to get younger and cheaper on offense.

The Lane news is sad, he's so important to our Offense and team but he's been playing through some injuries this year. That Bye week is a must for us so no need to rush Lane back. Fred is going to have to carry the weight.

Eagles asking Calcaterra to be a blocking tight end and him accepting it

Someone mentioned that this is Stout's worst year as a coach. He is the run game coordinator. I wonder if it is his decision to put two TEs out there that can't block a lick. If not you would think he would go to Patullo/Siri and tell them it is nuts. The run game has been awful. Part of that is injuries but a lot has to do with scheme and design and I wonder how much of that is on Stout.

I think the Eagles offense is depressed from lack of confidence and self esteem. It doesn't feel good to be sitting in the same suite as the Jets, Titans, Raiders... and knowing you belong there. With Lane and Jurgens out the coaches get more conservative. I can't see this offense putting up more than 17 points, which I think might be generous as I don't see how they score 2 touchdowns in a game.

Maybe if they don't ignore Smith the way they did last week we can move the ball better. And I guess we better hope it's not windy...
