Why would they do that when they have a dummy that will give them what they want?

They should try wanting some different.

Good news. I got an email back from VABeach_Eagle, he is ok. He has been tending to his mother's health as she's been in the hospital, and exhausted lately. He says he will be more available to log on

Maybe, but "I guess Saquon ain’t the same player either, then…alright” is an unacceptable answer.

He can’t help himself.

I truly can't wait until AJ is off this team

I feel bad for Hurts, Sirianni and the rest of the team having to deal with these questions. I have no sympathy for Brown, this is what he wanted. He started the machine in motion. He can't light the fire in the living room and then get mad when the house burns down.

Funny...I feel the same way about Jalen Hurts

The members of the media are lighting fires every day and then throwing gasoline on them.

I hate that we can't edit with links still

Had lunch with a former Eagle from the 2017 team today. Said Howie texts with former players...and not just the high profile ones...to check in on them and see how they are doing. And Nick Foles is the nicest guy in the world.

You ask him if his nickname stands true?

Hugh this morning hinted D Gunn was right and there is more he won't say because it's not his lane. This after a caller basically called DG a liar. He said Ike is aware of things as well as former players who are down there often.

That is only going to happen if/when the media hacks stop asking questions.

The media always asks questions. He has to answer them better if he wants them to go away. He was a journalism major in college, and by now regardless he should know that. He also opens things up with social media posts. I disagree with fans and media making mountains out of mole hills, but he also brings it on himself. Hurts and Siri deflect that nonsense when asked. Most players do as well.

Lets use some non Eagles comparisons. Tee Higgins and Jamar Chase.

There was some blather that Joe Burrow and his replacements are throwing Tee Higgins into coverage.

Why is Chase at 3.1 separation and Higgins is at 1.8?

Why is Fant leading the NFL this year at 4.7?

2024 Numbers

Chase 3

Gesicki 3

Iosivias 2.8

Higgins 2.4

2021 SB Year Numbers

Uzomah 3.7

Boyd 3.2

Chase 2.4

Higgins 2.3

A pass catchers job is to run away from coverage or find a spot between coverage.

Higgins is playing like a possession receiver who wins jump balls and often stays glued to DBs. (unless he throws them down by the facemask in the SB)

Inventing random BS pro-Higgins propaganda does not change reality.

Chase is a 4.34 guy. Higgins is a 4.54 guy. You can understand why one guy gets more separation.

AJ and DeVonta on the other hand are about identical at 4.49 and 4.48. DeVonta is a better route runner and has better burst in 2025. He also tries.

DeVonta missed a 91 yard TD pass because Hurts had a terrible throw.

AJ missed a 61 yard TD pass because he is a turd.

This year AJ is playing like a Tee Higgins who can't be bothered to win jump balls, or even give full effort.

Deebo has 13 more yards and 2 more TDs than AJ this year. That is pathetic and its 100% on AJ.

@mattwill

31-16 Eagles for the W.

Goedert w 8+ for 75+.

Some fun games this week.

Our W would effectively end Dallas' shot at the playoffs. Maybe Indy does the same to KC? Can Tampa give the Rams an L? Does Burrow play this week and give the Pats an L? Wouldn't mind the Steelers beating the Bears.

Perhaps Minn can give GB a good divisional battle. And I prefer Carolina over the Niners, although unlikely. And while I'm dreaming, it'd be swell if TN upsets Seattle!

I think it's about time you guys got some positive spin from me.

"I like that this team is 11-2 and has drama and people yelling at each other.  How does that look if you are an opposing team or fan? These guys are 11-2, coasting against legit playoff teams, everything is working….and they are all pissed off, fighting, and angry. This team has the mentality of a Monday morning WIP caller after an ugly win.  Rather than bemoan the drama, we should celebrate it.  I think they are rattling their own cage at this point and it seems to be working."

There is something unusual about this team and drama. They do well with it. Honestly, if they were 8-2 and defending SB champs and the message from NovaCare was that everyone should be basking in their excellence...then I'd be annoyed and would lead the charge. You think the blog is bad? WIP callers? What about the damn Eagles players and coaches? It's freaking defcon 1. They are all pissed off and think they all suck.

What do you think the Cowboys or Lions or anyone else thinks of this? They are 8-2, defending champs, and they are all absolutely miserable. That's intimidating. There is no motivational deficit or sense of accomplishment. The mentality of this defending SB champion team is that they are some NY Jet-like unacceptable abomination. I don't say that as someone complaining about the complaining. I think it's awesome. This is not some dynasty level stacked squad (just watch them on offense)...if they manage to repeat as SB champs, it will be because of this mentality.

I'm a big 40 yard dash supporter for wrs. Obviously doesn't guarantee success or failure, but it does establish limitations and special abilities. And it can also mislead.

There is no comparison whatsoever between the on field speed (especially this year) of DeVonta and Brown. It's like comparing Desean Jackson to JJAW.

Well, this is most certainly a take…

Bloggers preparing to glaze Josh Allen and say they wish we had a QB like him:

"Ask me about Dallas" is what he went with?

Not exactly a firm denial. He needs to take notes from Mailata if he meant to imply that was a ridiculous question that shouldn't even be justified with an answer.

Oh ok, thanks.

I thought Howie still did "in season" contract extensions.

It’s not outlawed, but it seemed to bring unwanted drama sometime back.

Isn’t there a limit any more? Did the NFL do away with that rule? I know AI sometimes gets things wrong, but here is what it says about IR reactivations.

"An NFL team can reactivate a maximum of eight players from injured reserve (IR) during the regular season, with an additional two possible for the playoffs, for a total of 10 if the team makes the postseason.”

I'm sometimes more wrong than AI but I thought there was no limit in the regular season anymore.

Siri is a HOF HC. Thats on him.

They're again talking about Josh Allen's total TDs from last week. 🤔
