Funny listening to the Cowboys pregame from their local station. Speculating on the player who the Cowboys are trading for, they said they pretty much need help at every level of the defense. As to why Jerrah threw it out there without naming the player, maybe it was to motivate the entire defense because there is nobody that can't be replaced as a starter 🤣🤣🤣

Some of the premium paid was for the cash saved. Fair deal. They have a genuine interest in keeping this guy long term IMO.

It's assumed if you trade for Ertz, he's the number 2. GC moves down to 3. Doubt they cut him. Maybe a trade?

The Ravens pick in round 4 will probably be 23 or so picks after the pick the Eagles gave the Dolphins.

The Eagles 3 from the Jets will probably be 30 or 31 picks before the pick they gave the Dolphins.

Most NFL GMs are not simpletons. They don't see all picks in a round as having the same value when one team has a good shot to go to a Super Bowl and another will pick in the middle of the round.

Your odds when going for it on 4th and goal from the 4 are probably like going for it on 4th and 11 outside the red zone.

There are no deep shots to worry about. Everyone is near the line of scrimmage. A run is not going to work so they are locked in on pass rush and mixing coverage.

Its way easier to play a zone or have safety support when the field is only 14 yards long.

I know this. I'm not sure that Brian Schottenheimer does.
