  • Good news. I got an email back from VABeach_Eagle, he is ok. He has been tending to his mother's health as she's been in the hospital, and exhausted lately. He says he will be more available to log on

Cam needs to sit. I dont know if it is the back or something else but he has been horrible this year. Let Toth play and see if some extended rest can get Cam back on track.

I dont know what to do about Dickerson. He probably needs to sit as well. Not sure about replacements at OG...Pryor, Opeta.

Lampkin interests me as a pulling C or OG because he seems good on the move/second level but not sure he has the size for OG

We released Opeta -- I'm sure he's available though.

He wasn’t coming here to be a backup JFC.

Mukuba and Reed were the starters. Want to know why he choose ravens and bears? Cause was a path to being a starter without a player getting hurt cause they needed the help. There wasn’t here besides injury.

Again he wasn’t coming here to be a backup and the Fing eagles weren’t benching Mukuba for CJGJ

He plays slot as well. Can play everywhere. But anyway. We are a dumpster fire back there now, when even one person goes down. Even Adoree. Should not blow a lead due to that and fall apart.

They have dejean for the slot. So again HE WASNT GOING TO START unless guys got hurt.

Again in your world you think he’s choosing to be a backup to Mukuba at safety and dejean at slot during the bye week over a chance to be a starter with the bears. Yea he’s choosing to be a starter so he could play and potentially plays well gets paid. He wasn’t choosing a place where he was relegated to a backup role unless someone got hurt.

This isnt on hurts, its the analytics that say majority of INTs comes over the middle of the field, which is why hurts never throws over the middle, especially deep middle.

Imo its stupid, it just makes the defenses job easier as they know they dont have to cover deep middle

Every D knows the eagles pass game works the edges and short middle. Hitches, outs, go balls, then slants, short crossers, deep middle stuff isnt on the play sheet, route combos or scheme

I picked CJGJ cuz I like him. My premise is Sydney Brown should not be a 3rd safety on an NFL team. Let alone a Superbowl team. That's it.

Tbh I’m guessing there’s a reality where Epps is likely Mukuba’s replacement but he’s on IR. The sad reality is you aren’t getting CJGJ to come here and Justin Simmons to sign here to be the backup safety.

Sirianni literally cannot be involved in schematics because him and Hurts are the opposite of complementary schematically, and he did not pick Jalen Hurts. Howie picked Jalen Hurts.

Sirianni and the Eagles during both years of OC issues, were coming off Super Bowl berths which limited the candidates they had the opportunity to interview.

I just think Eagles fans really don't give a crap about circumstance more and more so because they're becoming more and more spoiled with greater success. And that's especially important in football because due to most installations being in the offseason, if you have playbook issues, that is a notorious pain in the ass to fix in-season, even if you realize your mistake. Eagles fans however have gotten to the point where down years of any kind are considered unacceptable, so there's no real chance to even see if people learn from their mistakes. It's kind of insufferable honestly.

With all due respect because I usually agree with your posts I get tired of the "all the good people were taken excuse". In all of football both at the NFL and college levels there wasn't anyone out there better than his two internal hires at OC who sucked? Also, we heard while KM was interviewing that he already decided KP would be getting a promotion. That's coming from a place of fandom and wanting to trust Nick, but he let us down in a massive way both times. He didn't conduct a search.

Yeah, most installations start in the offseason, but we also saw this team can win with this offense. The issue is KP can't get calls in quick enough and can't make adjustments. It's been a long time since I saw an Eagles team go 3 and out this often and not score this many times in the second half of games and those teams didn't come close to this talent.

They don't have to come in with a new playbook they have to come in thinking quickly and knowing how to counter. If it's an outside voice they don't have to start from scratch or reinvent the wheel. Small tweaks.

As it is if you believe Nick they are trying to make adjustments to fix things, so I also get tired of the they can't change things excuses. They are literally trying to fix things, but they are the problem, so that won't happen. If they can make changes so can an outside mind who knows what they are doing. If they make a move now they will have a month and a half to do so.

I don't get the someone else can't come in and make changes, but I'm good with two inept people trying to make those same changes that can't be made mid season

Can somebody crash Justin Simmons's knitting club please?

That's probable but not ascertained at this point. They would need to ramp up either player on practice squad for a couple weeks. I think CJGJ would have come back here if they extended their hand. He was begging for work for a few weeks. Door was shut for whatever reason. Still, Sydney Brown just ain't it. Never was. Why are we fooling ourselves?!

Its a combo of his arm not being strong enough and the incompetency of the coach and his staff. It's pretty clear though that some of the playbook cannot be utilized because his arm isn't strong enough. That being said, his arm should be strong enough to win if everything else is working properly, including the scheme and playcalls. He is not going to carry a team though.

No offense there’s no reality CJGJ is giving up a chance to be a starting player with the bears to come back to the eagles to be a backup. he signed with the bears knowing their secondary was an issue and he’d have a chance to start. That wasn’t the case here as we weren’t moving dejean to outside corner so he could play slot and we weren’t benching Mukuba for CJGJ

Igaf about brown. CJGJ was never coming back here as a backup.

Which one? Puntullo goes first or they both go this off season.

Day 6 post op from ACL/meniscus and this is the ish the Eagles give me??? Having to hear from all these friends who are Cowboys fans. Talk about insult to injury 🤦‍♂️

Even a meathead like Dan Campbell took over the playcalling this year from his highly experienced OC John Morton, but our coach can't when our offense has been much worse? Is Dan Campbell more qualified to call plays than Nick Sirianni?

48 minutes ago, Iggles25 said:

Just me, or does yesterday's choke job not sting like it should?

Not sure of the why.

A. It was expected at some point the way they were playing.

B. Eagles are defending Super Bowl champs and still in contention for another run.

C. Losing like they did maybe lights a fire for them down the stretch.

D. I drink/partake too much and am numb to everything.

E. All of the above

For me, it's some of column A and some of column B. In my twenties, witnessing a loss like yesterday's would've sent me into a spiral. Like literal loss of hours of sleep, inability to focus, grumpy mood, etc. I legit had an unhealthy obsession with the sport, and in many ways I still do, but not nearly as bad as it used to be.

It's close, but boy did that team come back to earth after losing their two coordinators.

You watched last nights game and the clip you show is of the defense playing poorly? They made more than enough stops, especially in crunch time when it counted. The offense shipped the bed. Their fault, including your MVP QB.

It's fair to point out a bad play by Carter since it is the first time we saw him and will likely be seeing a lot of him going forward now.

Just saying, what aj brown has been saying got proven out yesterday. The offense when they found and got him involved had the ball moving and we were scoring at will. Probably the best the offense had looked since the giants game. It allowed for other things to get open. As soon as they stopped involving him as they got up 21-0 and the next 25-27 mins of the game they bogged down and did nothing. the next 4 possessions they had three 3 and outs and 1 first down. Then they finally got aj brown back involved they managed to at least resemble something of a functional offense (until Barkley fumbled, penalties and Hurts sack) and he alone picked up 3 firsts.

I really don’t want to hear Dallas made adjustments to take him away. Frankly the bengals targeted ja’mar chase 23 times in a game vs. Pittsburgh (much better defense than Dallas) this year with Flacco. The steelers defense probably tried to adjust but they kept going there cause they had no answer. I’m not saying he needs 23 targets but just phasing him out for 2 quarters is Fing dumb

AJ Brown will be on the Patriots this offseason. Enjoy his last several weeks here.

That’s great. Doesn’t mean he’s not right about what he was complaining about. Just saying his production isn’t the only thing you are replacing. Go watch the Devonta TD vs. Gb. His presence on the field and being aj brown took 2 GB defenders with him so devonta had 1 on 1 with a safety. Thats cause DCs know how great he is still even if we don’t utilize him to his best ability
