1 hour ago1 hr OK, with a couple days of distance from that crap show, I'll try and see the glass as half full (since none of us really want to). The simple answer is -- the offense failed primarily because the players made easily correctable mistakes. Now, the penalty thing since the bye is a SERIOUS issue that lands right in Siranni's lap -- 14 for 96 this week, 9 for 78 against the Lions, and 7 for 61 against GB. Now, were some of those calls questionable -- yeah (see OPI on Smitty and false start on Cam). But going back to this game:4th drive: Cam "false start" on 3rd and 2 leads to 3rd and 7, end up punting. 6th drive (and really the next one as 5th was kneel down for half): Matt Pryor kills 20 yard completion on 2nd and 2 that would have gotten us to Dallas 40 because he can't line up correctly. Likely cost us at least 3 points.9th drive: complete 8 yard pass to the DAL 35, comes back on ridiculous OPI on Smitty. Then a false start on AJ, and we're in 1st and 25. Get it to the Dallas 38, miss FG. Likely cost us at least 3 points.10th drive: Hurts hit Smitty for 16 yards down to the 12, called back due to hands to the face by Big Fred. Saquon fumbles on next play. Cost us at least 3 points.3 potential scoring drives killed by our own mistakes. Not lining up correctly is unforgivable by Pryor. Terrible OPI call on Smitty. Fred was guilty -- that was a good call. But we're scoring in the 30s if we just stop screwing ourselves. This is on Nick -- the head coach takes the blame for sloppy play. I'm annoyed Gipson hasn't been cut -- we should elevate Covey for this game. A message needs to be sent.

Patricia was a polarizing figure for sure, and it most likely ended up being worse than leaving Desai in that position. This is really a catch 22 situation…do you continue beating your head against the wall for continuity and hope for something to happen or do you make the switch and mess with continuity. The good thing right now is this isn’t 2023 and both coordinators are inept.
1 hour ago1 hr Gipson is a known wreckless fumbler. Needs to go yesterday. Again, Eagles evaluations of players on team or getting traded has been off for the most part. Could have just stood still with Covey, Booker and Kennard to name a few. Just needed to be better off at working the margins and not bring in so many new peeps which would have kept the fire, culture, continuity and talent to repeat this year. Just hate alot of these smaller moves. Too many new faces. Do like Tank though. And then we don't use him. Gross incompetence and misuse of assets (including draft picks) these last several months. It just grinds on you, that we didn't know what to do with one of the best rosters in decades. And feels like we are on the outside looking in right now.

Fowler went into his bend and ran his face right into Fred’s hand. Fred finished his lift…easy flag. To me that’s not an error like some of the others. That’s one of those, this is football and a fast game. Penalties are gonna happen sometimes. That being said, the Eagles shot themselves in the foot but not lost is that the NFL wasn’t going to allow Dallas to play a meaningless Thanksgiving Day game.

So it just sunk faster.

That's a tall order to overcome. They basically need to win out (a virtual impossibility) and the teams ahead of them need to play 0.500 or worse the rest of the way.

Something has to be done though.Couple things on the short week that need to happen.comprehensive review of flow of information. Where is the breakdown, how much is on Patullo’s plate. For all we know Patullo could be a genius but the guy in the booth is slow getting him formation and player info on the defensive huddle.Open the damn playbook up, they’re at a point where they can’t just throw a wrinkle in once or twice a game and think that’s good enough.Scrap half the playbook out of condensed sets. Tell Hurts to just rip it…we all know he’s most comfortable throwing outside the hashes, but you have to use the whole field at some point.Sit Jurgens for Friday. Let him recover. If you need to do the same with Dickerson so be it.

Insist on more of the plays that worked well this year. Run Tank Bigsby more. Get Barkley on outside runs and screens. Use Latu as TE2. Some simple adjustments to see how they improve.Insisting on more of the things that work well is part of the problem. They are all too predictable.
