  • Good news. I got an email back from VABeach_Eagle, he is ok. He has been tending to his mother's health as she's been in the hospital, and exhausted lately. He says he will be more available to log on

Was looking up penalties this year by team as it seems like the entire league is committing more.

Was surprised that Denver leads the NFL in penalties yet have the best record in the AFC.

Brees seems to be the only lock. Kuechly should be as well.

Lock as in making it or first ballot? Fitzgerald is definitely a lock to make it, just don’t know if he’s first ballot

If the Rams play to their potential and we play to ours, I like the Rams. Adams and Pua look harder to stop than AJ and Devanta. With no real running game this year, it's a tough one. I like Rams in the trenches more as well on both sides. We would have to absolutely dominate on the DL. Not super confident about that either after Dallas OL handled us last week against pass and run. In addition, Rams are ascending and relatively injury free, while we labor into this last month. No Lane Johnson this time around and secondary looking suspect. Like the Rams here by a TD if they played today. This will be a mountain to climb this playoffs season. Such a different scenario than last year.

That was kind of my point, we cant play to our potential so it won't matter. But yeah, I agree, with current health of the OL and secondary, both teams play their A game and we still lose.

The Bears are +19 in turnovers when they win. Minus 3 in their losses.

Using EPA/play, the Bears have the 22nd ranked defense. (We are 8th.) If you take away plays with turnovers, they drop to 31st. (We are 10th).

This may be the week where Sirianni's conservative approach to offense is necessary.

The Bears are out of LBs. They have none. Forward screens and slants should work all day long. Throw them.

THIS is one where the short passing game should work all day long.

Vision isnt something a RB loses with age or because he had a heavy load the year before.

His vision has been bad this year but the idea that hes lost it is stupid.

The O line isnt blocking, everybody knows it except apparently the coaches and players, its not getting fixed with the current guys on o line

Saquon looks more like Giants Saquon. Don't think he's the same guy as last year. He looks hesitant and indecisive. If Tank looks good with this offensive line in limited snaps, it leaves me thinking Barkley has underperformed regardless of OL. I think that's too easy of a cop out for him. A superstar just gets it done, regardless. He looks timid and unaggressive this year. He can be a lot better.

Fitz is the most sure lock…even over Brees.

So there you go, I was discussing this during the game with someone and no one knew for sure whether the Cowboys substituted or not

Yes

The visual of how we progressively get worse each quarter in point differential.

Before the burn we were averaging 10.5 points in the second half. Since the bye 4.3 points in the 2nd half.

Last year we were complaining about the lack of production in the first quarter. It would be nice to have those days of yore back again.

Rivers has the passing stats but I don't believe he has anything in playoffs

Brees has the passing stats and a ring

Witten shouldn't. He should go into the hall of really good

I didn't know that Fitz only had 9/17 years of 1k yds. He's got longevity but does he really have the stats for the hall? Only 4 years where he led the league in some statistic (receptions 2005, 12TDs 2008, 13TDs 2009, 107 receptions 2016)

Fitz is a top 5 WR all time. #2 in catches & yards. #6 in TD’s.

I just don’t get how it keeps happening! I mean it’s happened in pretty much every game this year bar maybe the Vikings and the second NY game? Like it’s almost impressive (in the worst way). Is it because we tend to play with a lead but can’t run the ball effectively? So we end up with a lot of punts.

Worse trend than when we couldn’t score in the 1st quarter… that was only a quarter and the offense would flip the switch.

I was looking at single season stats. You'd think someone with 17 years would be high in all time stats

The answer is to quietly start removing responsibility from Patullo behind the scenes. Maybe Nick or Scot starts calling plays but routes them through Patullo, as an example.

Problem is that we're already struggling to get calls in on time, an extra layer would only make that worse.

Do hitches count?!

So I don’t want to go through all the posts. Who were the reporters who got into today during Vic’s press conference?

Could be the guys grabbing him immediately when he gets the ball. Again, oline has the worst run block win rate in the league, he’s hit 54% of the time behind the LOS. That’s not on saquon. Nobody is keying on bisgby. Nobody. If they were, he’d be even worse.

@mattwill

Eagles 24, Bears 13

It will be an unexciting but fairly easy victory. IMO, the Bears record is almost as inflated as the Patriots.

Same here. The umpire moves up next to Dak then looks at the Ref and starts to retreat. I don't even think the Ump was in his 'spot' at the beginning of the play, which in itself would lead to a no play.

While I understand the penalties committed by us were mostly justified. The officials missed a lot on Dallas that would’ve impacted drives just as much. We got worked Sunday

The refs were just terrible all game.

We benefitted from the penalty on the punt which led to a TD, and then they spent the rest of the game giving the Cowboys make-up calls for that one mistake
