"Jalen, what routes do you like?"

"The ones where the receivers aren't moving."

Bingo

There is a reason why under the last 3 OCs the passing offense/routes are the exact same and we see zero creativity. I fully believe Jalen is the handicap of this offense.

The run game has bailed us out in the past, now teams are going all in on stopping the run asking Jalen to beat them with his arm. With the limited route tree he wants to throw the scheme is screwed for any OC that comes in here.

So you’re saying 4th all time in NFL history of 1,000 yard seasons is just "very good”?

Yep…Larry Fitzgerald is a first ballot guy. It’s not even a debate

Fitzgerald is a 1st ballot HOFer. You heard it here second. @Wentz_Era is correct and now it's been confirmed by me.

@mattwill

Eagles 27 Bears 20

bonus: AJ over 100yds for the 2nd straight week

It’s every year. They run motion just to run motion with no real purpose.

Is that Nick or Hurts?

Oh. I will happily put money on that. If they both make it this year, no one wins. Only Brees means I win. Only Fitz and you win. And no one wins if neither makes it.

How much?

As much as we’d like to believe there will be a "get right” game for us, the sad truth is our offense is the "get right” game for struggling defenses. This week will be no different. As per the 2025 norm, we will do just enough to escape with a win and feel no different going forward. Defense looks more like they did against GB and Detroit.

@mattwill

Birds 17

Bears 13

Defense with 3+ sacks and 2+ turnovers forced.

If he’s that limited how is he still the QB?

What kind of organization would give a guy the keys to the franchise if he can only throw hitch routes?

Thats something the Browns would do.

I just want to focus on smaller issues today. Forget the routes, QB, OC.

If Dickerson is going to be a banged up LP in practice all week, he shouldn’t start Friday.

Something needs to change on the OL and the first thing to try is healthy players.

@mattwill

This is the 'So is that what you wanted to see' game of the season.

Eagles 34

Bears 20

AJ with 100+ yards and 2 TDs

I don't think that's a small issue. Putting out guys that's barely healthy has been a problem all season. I think it was Nick that mentioned they don't do it but then in the same response said the guys are warriors. Well the warriors are hanging on by a thread

Just because the player can gut it out out and "do a job for the team" doesn't mean they should. Its the mindset a coach on a losing team, feeling pressure about their job has. Not a HC in Sirianni's position

Yesterday's injury report was an estimation. They did a walkthrough.

I think it’s more Siri playing not to lose than Jalen. He can make throws. It’s Siri final call on the gameplan and this is his offense. And it stinks

It's a pin-pull. The play is designed to go to where Barkley went. If Brown and Goedert had made their blocks as designed, the 'hole' the poster designated would not exist and the running lane would be on the perimeter.

Eagles offensive coaches probably watched tape of this play and thought it was a different sport

Because the motion actually contributes to the play?

Or because he often will block the LB from the same motion, thus tying the run game and pass game together.

Crazy. This is the most talented group on offense they’ve probably ever had and we have ruined it with a terrible HC/OC combo. We legitimately have won games just on sheer talent alone. That’s why I’ve always called Siri the Dave Roberts of the NFL.. nothing special about him just fortunate to have a ton of talent, more so than any other team

Could you imagine AJ Brown doing that? It would be a nightmare for teams to plan around.

Rams used this play several times against us and it gave our defense issues, and I think they also had Puka run up the B gap too. This is completely out of Patullos wheelhouse.

Not against the Eagles, but here's Puka running up the B gap

I realize this wasn’t the point of your post but if I’m scouting the Rams O I’m having a LB chip Nacua there. No back in the left flat and the TE stayed in to block. Slow him down enough to give the secondary guy a better chance to cover him on the change of direction.

That’s very effective motion to cause separation for a dangerous receiver, I would try and chip him every time he comes through a gap inside.
