he's right. the oline struggles, regardless of what you point to, be it injuries or lackluster play in general, it's an issue that has tons of ripple effects.

the other big point he brought up was the passing routes and how they do not help or play to hurt's strengths.

that 3rd and 2 play at the end of the game is still pissing me off!!!!!!!

Stoutland is having a turd of a season.

Two things can be true: This is the worst OL of the Sirianni era, and the OL is still decent enough for the Eagles to run a consistent NFL offense. Getting really Fing old that some folks wanna put everything on the OL.

Yes, what Hurts likes/can do inhibits what you can call on offense. Yes, other OC options, likely even some currently on the staff, can deal with those limitations and make things better, not worse.

Demote or fire Patullo.

Yup, I watched this yesterday and 13 chips for Mailata seems like a lot, and mailata has mentioned hes been dinged up and I wonder how much of whatever his injury is has effected his play this year because hes looked pretty bad all year and 13 chips would substantiate that the coaches think the same.

The unraveling continues. I'm predicting a complete meltdown.

Bonus: Eagles players/coaches infighting visible on broadcast.

His banged up offensive line plus downgrade at RG isn't helping the matter.

Everything can be true. An NFL offense is highly interdependent.

Truth: The OL run blocks like crap. The offense is built around their run blocking and is devastated by the disappearance of that, which is also killing Barkley.
Truth: Barkley is not what he was last year.
Truth: The OL pass protection is not bad. A better OC and QB would be just fine with these pass catchers in this scenario to overcome the ground issues.
Truth: The OC has completely failed to adjust to the reality that the running game isn't what it was last year and that is hurting players on offense.
Truth: The OC is handcuffed by what he can and cannot do with Jalen Hurts at QB. The lack of respect for his passing impacts the fronts the defense sees, the running game, and they are not able to adjust and compensate by passing in volume to all parts of the field with a full route tree.

You don't have a bottom 5 offense because of 1 replaceable problem. They are all doing a bad job and have a hand in this. All of the above are true...but the media and fans seem to want to believe only one of these things are true and lay ALL the blame on that while absolving everyone else. Need to acknowledge that they are ALL a problem.

Sorry, change my bonus prediction to Barkley 60+ yard TD

@mattwill

Bears 24, Eagles 20

Bonus: Nolan Smith sack

Barring Howie/Lurie intervention, there’s no hope for this offense. Even then…

As much as we’d like to believe there will be a "get right” game for us, the sad truth is our offense is the "get right” game for struggling defenses. This week will be no different. As per the 2025 norm, we will do just enough to escape with a win and feel no different going forward. Defense looks more like they did against GB and Detroit.

@mattwill

Birds 17

Bears 13

Defense with 3+ sacks and 2+ turnovers forced.

The OL is definitely a big issue but the passing game concepts are still a big problem. The Hurts haters here will say it’s him but we’ve seen him operate in a better passing offense. It’s Patullo and quite frankly as passing game coordinator he was probably holding us back for a while. He needs to go

It isn't, but should still be way better than it is. Guys are confused, whiffing on blocks, taking the wrong assignments, etc. There was a game earlier this season where Dallas missed 4 of their 5 starters on the offensive line and they were able to have a functional offense and running game. Lots of teams are battling OL injuries. This is supposed to be Stout's specialty. Raising the floor higher than other coaches.

@mattwill

Eagles 30

Bears 21

Carter with 2 sacks

I guess Jurgens, Dickerson, and Lane (before the latest injury) have been medically healthy enough to be cleared to play. I just do not understand why the coaches, specifically Stout, cannot step in and tell these guys they need to sit until they are healthier.

1. This team is dead on arrival if they cannot and do not even try to get the OL at a healthier, higher performing level in the playoffs. That can't happen without rest. Even if it's a condition that requires a surgery to definitively address, they'll still be better in the playoffs with some rest.

2. Forget the playoffs. There is a solid argument to be made right now that healthy backups who practice with the 1's all week are just going to be better than Dickerson/Jurgens hobbling around for 80% of the snaps and then getting replaced in the middle of a drive.

Sometimes, professionals can't make the smart decision 6 inches in front of their face because they are just trying to get their 1st string players out there. This is on Stoutland for not being able to make this assessment.

I think the midseason pivot from Desai to Patricia is weighing heavy on the minds of Lurie and Howie. That 2023 collapse is semi ancient history due to the 2024 happy ending, but I think the FO carries a big cautionary scar from that. Over the years, we've all seen them make bold decisions at times to pivot off problems and, at other times, act quite scared.

I think a midseason coordinator change on a team with big aspirations is a decision they will make scared after what happened in 2023.

Got it

They're not the same. The 2022 passing offense looked nothing like this. There's plenty of data that's been posted literally proving you wrong but you'll continue to repeat the above as if it were true because of obvious reasons.

U do realize 3 OCs is not the 2022 season?

2023- Brian Johnson

2024- Kellen Moore

2025- KP

2022 was Shane Steichen

Not ancient history to me.

In fact, that's why I think Sirriani could be fired if it happens again this year. The Super Bowl is a big deal, but 2 out of the last 3 years ending in complete meltdown with probably the best roster in the league?

That's fireable stuff

@mattwill 27-16 Birds, the Bears defense will make our passing offense look good and Vic can handled Ben Johnson's trickeration. Hurts 300+ total yards.

@mattwill

Eagles 24

Bears 18

Darius Cooper 50+ receiving yards and a TD
