EMB Blog: 2025 Regular Season (Part 2) ... and Playoffs

DAL only chance at a playoff spot is a collapse by either SF or SEA or a collapse by two of CHI, GB, or DET, on top of that they have to win out. DAL is definitely better than they were earlier in the year but they’re not going anywhere this season.

People are going to talk, that doesn’t make them right, just means they know how to communicate.

If you run the table you'll make it. One loss and you might make it. Those other teams will all lose and several will lost two or even three.

Eagles will win at least 11 games in my mind so you'd need to run the table to have any shot at the East.

The Bears remaining schedule is ridiculous. Difficult as hell. If they lose today, they are cooked.

Lions schedule is tough also.

I think I picked PHI to go 13-4 or 14-3, I know I picked them to repeat as NFCE champs, breaking the streak of no repeat champions in like 20 years or more. I still think PHI wins 13 or more games.

Ravens schedule is hard too. They might be done as well.

I was discussing the winner of the AFC last weekend with someone. Neither of us could come up with an answer of who'd go to the Super Bowl. So much mediocrity at the moment.

This year would be the easiest year to repeat, there's no AFC team worth really worrying about. Only problem is that of course this is the year the team decides to crap down its own leg with a bumble F of an OC and trotting out two broken linemen week after week

Eagles are really pushing this blackout agenda for today.

I know the offense is hard to watch, but getting blackout drunk at 3PM probably isn’t the best choice.

It is. I was scratching my head so hard that the word "Chargers" came out of my mouth. The Chargers 🤣

And you are right. If the O side of the ball, can, you know, run something more evolved than high school, it's right there. Fear no one but Kevin Patullo and the running game

So the quality of the NFC competition isn't relevant?

The Rams schedule has been so easy. Not worried about them.

Bears have to play the Lions again, and Packers twice.

Packers also play Broncos, maybe the Ravens or Vikings manage a win.

Lions have it tougher. Cowboys, Rams, Steelers, Vikings, Bears.

Eagles just need to stop hurting themselves with penalties, mistakes, clean things up and they should at least get #2 seed.

You'd have to pick the Patriots or the Bronco's, the Bills look determined to throw the best opportunity they'll get away, the Ravens look almost done already, the Bengals are done, the Chargers were woeful against the Jaguars. I'm not convinced by either of the Pats or Bronco's but they do look odds on for 1 and 2 seed.

Other than the Rams I don't see that much in the NFC either, the Bears have ridden a powder puff schedule as far as they can, the Seahawks have a Sam Darnold issue, and the Packers are like the Cowboys, they get a couple of wins and the media falls in love again.

The Eagles do need to sort themselves out, but if they get anywhere near last years level they'll get to the Superbowl at a canter.

I think 13 is the number but 12 wouldn't surprise me.

It might be healthier than watching the game.

Good to see you know your role around here still.

Man, a tight loss to the Dallas refs have people talking crazy.

If it was just a tight loss to Dallas then fair enough. But the Giants loss? The Broncos loss? Pretty much every other games where we’ve won by 1 score and the offense has gone missing for huge chunks? I mean I don’t know why we want to just overlook that and pretend like there’s nothing to worry about.

C’mon now, it’s always DAL (refs) fault.

Don't worry about other teams. Just win the game today. Siri has to put the pressure on OC to get the offense going. If the offense continues to under-perform, making some changes should be in order, as undesirable as making mid-season changes. This team has too much talent not to perform better than it has this season.

and that’s hard to do, I mean you have to really really be making an effort to get that drunk.

CHI down three LBs should allow the running game to be more effective. I would imagine they’re going to walk the safeties up quite a bit and that is going to open up the deeper passing game. At least that sounds logical to me anyway.

Please win today so everyone can relax

I get it but you can’t expect a team to go undefeated. The best teams they’ve played they beat for the most part. It’s definitely not pretty but I think they can get it going.

They definitely can and they will, I expected it after the bye week, but coming off the DAL loss I think there will be a more focused sense of urgency. Not panic, just a much better focus.
