Down to the final stretch of the season. 6 games left and the upstart 8-3 Bears come into town. Eagles have won the last 6 straight against the Bears. Bears lead the all time series 29-17-1. The Eagles are coming off a tough loss to the Boys while the Bears are coming off another close win to the Steelers. I really don't have anything negative to say about the Bears. They are a young up and coming team still finding their way. The Eagles are trying to defend a title so the expectations and stakes are much higher. The Eagles are also 11-0 Vs the NFC North since 2021 and with a win will sweep the Division this year. The Bears have also won 3 games against our Division Foes. This caused the so called "Alliance" Well that ends today. Eagles for the most part adjust after losses so I don't expect them to have Saquon only rush for 10 carries today. I also think the Offense is looking better in spots. Bears are scrappy team but I think the Defense gives Caleb some issues while the Offense does enough to pull out the win. Eagles need to keep their big lead in the Division and keep pace for the #1 Seed. Eagles take down the Bears on Black Friday.

BIRDS - 28

BEARS - 16

JALEN - RUSH TD

SAQUON - RUSH TD

AJ - TD

GOEDERT - TD

DEFENSE: MULTIPLE SACKS, MULTIPLE INT'S, FUMBLE

@mattwill

Dallas accepted 24 penalties for over 200 yards, many at critical moments against the Eagles and Cheifs. Amazing how they never hold on offense, or have illegal man downfield while their 2 most recent opponents appear to do it at the most critical moments of the game or of a drive. Also remarkable how they never ever commit defensive pass interference nor even defensive hold or illegal contact while the Eagles and Chiefs appear to do it every pass play.

That's true.

@mattwill

Hate Lane Johnson not playing games. That said both Bears and Eagles are a bit banged up. As much as I hate aiding Green Bay, Eagles home turf.

Birds 34 Bear 23

Bonus: Sydney Brown with an interception

Today is the day to run and the rest of the year we will pass. Can we run with success? Get that going and then hit the WRs on play action. Brown will have a big game if we can establish some rushing.

Wow our game is being showed around the World Live.

When NFL Reddit is full of people saying the Chiefs got hosed by the refs you know it's been bad.

I have no confidence our offense can do anything and worse is that the statements from our top offensive players make, they don't have confidence either. Then hearing Greg Cosell confirming repeatedly over the last month what we all think about our Junior High offensive concepts combined with Sirianni and Patullo both stating they will change nothing, I have zero hope we can be consistent or productive. Maybe for a couple drives, but every game is the same: score on 2 or 3 nice drives then average about 25 yards or less for every other drive with a few first downs and 8 punts to show for it.

More forward progress shenanigans in the Iowa game. The Nebraska RB leaps and gets stopped cold and is sitting on the OLmens leg for long second and then another OLmen shoves him into the endzone.

You'd have to pick the Patriots or the Bronco's, the Bills look determined to throw the best opportunity they'll get away, the Ravens look almost done already, the Bengals are done, the Chargers were woeful against the Jaguars. I'm not convinced by either of the Pats or Bronco's but they do look odds on for 1 and 2 seed.

Other than the Rams I don't see that much in the NFC either, the Bears have ridden a powder puff schedule as far as they can, the Seahawks have a Sam Darnold issue, and the Packers are like the Cowboys, they get a couple of wins and the media falls in love again.

The Eagles do need to sort themselves out, but if they get anywhere near last years level they'll get to the Superbowl at a canter.

That's it. The Pats schedule has been super easy and the Broncos are good. It was more the fact that, unlike other years, no one really stood out as the pinnacle, all class team. Its more like yeah, but.... Its not like other years where the Bills, Ravens, Chiefs (to name 3 teams) were at the tip of the spearhead.

Kind of makes it more fascinating to watch from afar

It's really amazing right. Call it tight on their opponents especially after a big gain or key stop.

Apparently the wind is brutal today. Going to be sloppy offense. Hopefully they use Jalen more in the run game. Williams scrambling could be an issue.

Seems like it is the Lions game again though maybe not quite as bad.

I know AJ Dillon has blackmail photos of someone in the Eagles organization, but if we’re just gonna have luxury roster spots we should claim Joshua Karty so he can do the knuckleball kickoffs for us. Need all the field position we can get with this BS offense.

Josh Uche inactive. There was a brief period of about 2 weeks where people argued he was one of the free agent hits the Eagles had in the offseason. Has there been one free agent signing they made that has worked out? I guess Adoree is it if you can even call it that. I mean, he's really only earned the job out of process of elimination.

@mattwill

Eagles 26

Bears 13

Defense rules the day, 4+ sacks, 2 ints

Saquon finally breaks another 40+ yard run

Why did they make one more person inactive than they needed to?

Edit: NVM, they elevated Sam and Johnson

lol

This pro Philly advertisement with legends like Malcom Jenkins, Chase Utley and …. checks notes…. Kyle Lowry

The approach to OL injuries has been a mess

AJ Dillion should have been released the day they traded for Tank. An NFL roster doesn't need 4 RBs, IMO.

And the mental midget Gipson should have never made the team. Covey should have been out there on game day from week 1.

Howie can't kill it every time. He made some dumb decisions. OLine depth, CB2 cluster F, Safety position (meh it's been average). I love Howie. He gets an A for effort from me, but a C+ for execution.

Oh well. Could always be worse. 😙

Targeting the 4th game he would miss if on IR to play against the worst team in the NFL.

Ok then.

Ty Robinson coming out of nowhere to take a commanding lead for 2025 Nasty Nate

Right? Said that when it felt like they weren’t going to IR him. The games on the stretch they definitively needed him for were cowboys, bears and chargers. he wasn’t returning for any of those games. Feels like just give him the extra week for the commanders game. If we can’t beat the raiders without Lane we got big issues
