Very broad and vague. Procedure could be a steroid injection. Could be a PRP injection. Could be a Tenex procedure, which is basically a debridement "surgery" that happens in the doctors office rather than an operating room, so is considered a procedure rather than a surgery. And can be done to treat a variety of things though it generally rules out more serious injuries, that would require actual surgeries.

If they think carrying a 34 year old Slay is worth playing this game for multiple weeks just to keep him from the Eagles, then I'm putting like 5 grand on the Eagles in that matchup, because the Bills are doomed. That would say far more about the Bills than anything else.

This was a screw up. He wanted to toughen it out but that didn't work

We've got several guys now that are trying to tough it out which is great, but not if injuries are holding back your performance. BOTH shoulders, yikes.

Fact McLane said he’s been dealing with this since the spring tells me this type of produced probably should’ve been done months ago during the offseason. He would’ve had ample time to recover

Yeah. He was ineffective, and noticeably injured early on. Id say by week 3 or 4 they reported he was dealing with a "significant" injury in his shoulder but trying to play through it. Around that same time, he visibly injured his wrist as well.

Slay wasn't going to Buffalo. It was obvious.  Eagles or nothing. And I just doubted the Bills would not grant a player his wishes. May take a little while, but if Slay wants to be here to start, Rosenhaus would make it happen. No doubt in my mind there. Bills will look like chumps here to hold a player back who wants to retire with his former team and actually play football.

Because they don't have the greatest WR room and they have to play PHI the 2nd to last week of the season. That game may decide whether or not they make the playoffs, it's very simple in my mind. They would be hurting their chances to win that game, why? Just to make someone feel good before they retire? Like @LeanMeanGM said, BUF doesn't owe him anything.

It doesn't really. It cost them a roster spot to claim him but now that he said he's not reporting they can just put him on the did not report list to open the spot and sign back the guy they cut yesterday.

If Fangio was never going to play Bennett, trading Booker looks like an extremely bad idea now.

I think the roster spot would open back up as he would be placed on the reserve/did not report list, and they would still retain his rights in the event he did report. I am not certain about this but it would seem logical.

Funny, the Bills lost and waived solid special teams and depth CB in Ingram yesterday to make room for Slay. Go to work Howie. Sign Ingram and.....Slay, once Bills cave. And the Bills become the Bills and fall short as always.

Super bad look for the org and really detrimental to the D and team. He’s not been himself all year and this is likely the reason.

He's not using up a roster spot if he doesn't show up.
