Good news. I got an email back from VABeach_Eagle, he is ok. He has been tending to his mother's health as she's been in the hospital, and exhausted lately. He says he will be more available to log on

Steichen turned Daniel Jones into a functional QB, zero point zero percent chance he gets the axe this season.

Nothing is 0.0% in the NFL. New owner, some owners are volatile, who knows what she's capable of. I don't think it's likely, but it definitely isn't zero if they have a collapse of their own.

If not for Ben Johnson, Steichen would be in the COTY conversation.

This is probably the No. 1 reason to keep Sirianni and let Howie/Lurie pick the next OC. These candidates are really underwhelming.

Siris record, and 2 super bowls in 4 years including a super bowl win is kind of a huge deal. Id say those rank far higher on the reasons to keep him. The Eagles are lucky to not even have to consider that list you posted. It probably isn't ranked becaus we its not a realistic consideration.

You have a good point. If we are going for magical thinking then lets go for Ben Johnson as OC next year.

Its not zero!

Super nice of the real MVP to allow Hurts to sign his poster.

It depends on if and how badly I want him back as OC. If I want him, they will fire him. I always get what I want.

Buyer beware if any team wants to pay that guy big money. Game of the year and he dogs it.

That team in north Texas set a league high with Dakota. The least they can do is the same for Pickens.👍

What the...

Let Dean walk and draft that kid Jacob Rodriguez from Texas tech. Kid is going to be a stud

Siri is a clown. Just a tremendous beneficiary of a loaded roster. He is Dave Roberts. Once he’s gone he’ll disappear like Doug P

Some difficult decisions coming. Dean has been great when healthy, has leadership qualities and that Dawkins like dawg presence. We also have wanted good LBs for a long time and now we finally have them.

The kid from Toledo that played with Q is intriguing...

There's a few safeties this year not including Downs who will go too early. Hoping we get one of them. But if Carters shoulders are degenerative or he will need to be limited, you might look to DT. RT and RG are also very high on the list.

Phillips needs to have a big game. He's not been as impactful the last couple weeks. Chargers missing both OTs.

The one thing people said he was good at was vibes. Well... when things were going poorly in 2023 and now this year, the vibes are bad. I need more than a Chief Vibes Officer as HC. This is what I ask the Sirianni fans. If he got fired, who would hire him? You see coaches like Dan Quinn go back and rebuild there resume as a coordinator. Would anybody hire Sirianni as an OC? I don't think so. So we have a HC who is only successful when given tons of talent by Howie, and when he has both an exceptional OC and DC. Any coach in the NFL can succeed in that environment.

We have

  1. The first team AP ILB

And

  1. A very promising 1st round ILB

We’re not paying Dean, and we’re also not spending a pick of any notable value on the position. London and Trotter will fill out the 2026 room

Eh, most SB winning teams have a lot of talent. This isn't a solid argument.

A dose of injury reality showed up this season.

Eight starters playing below their 2024 level and/or unavailable due to injuries: Johnson, Dickerson, Jurgens, Mailata, Brown, Carter, Smith, Dean. You also lose Mukuba.

Do the injuries explain why the team has such schizophrenic tendencies?

21 points against Dallas in the first half... 0 points for the rest of the game. That's not a result of injury.

Having the highest percentage of 3 and outs of any teams with a winning record, really isn't about the injuries... its about the coaching staff's inability to create a working game plan.

The number of penalties aren't a result of injuries either. They just aren't playing smart.... aka, coaching.

Chargers 27 Eagles 13

Chargers over 160 yards rushing, Eagles under 100 (not including Hurts scrambles)

I get that it’s hard to ignore or diminish Sirianni’s on-paper credentials. I just see him as a guy the Eagles have overcome or won with more than him being some driving force. I don’t think Lurie should be afraid to move on from Sirianni because of his record and SB win. If the right candidate is out there, Lurie should consider a move. Looking at HC candidates, I’m not sure that guy exists this offseason.

I should add that this is all based on the premise that we continue looking like a rudderless ship down the stretch.

He was just extended for around $10 million a year. Don't think he gets canned after this season.

I don’t think the money will be a factor at all.

How can you possibly fire a guy when he keeps coming up with genius solutions like this?
