EMB Blog: 2025 Regular Season (Part 2) ... and Playoffs

Featured Replies

If the Eagles hang on and win the division, there's a solid chance their first playoff opponent could be the Bears in a rematch. A lot of possibilities still, but that would be interesting.

Good news. I got an email back from VABeach_Eagle, he is ok. He has been tending to his mother's health as she's been in the hospital, and exhausted lately. He says he will be more available to log on

What do the Bears and the Broncos have in common?

Philadelphia is the only current playoff team they’ve managed to beat

They both play outdoors!

People have been saying this for decades, but in reality it'll be more popular than ever in 10 years.

Games are practically unwatchable these days, it's a nonstop parade of flags when officiating crews don't have consistent interpretations of the rules. They said it before because of the elimination of big hits and the overprotection of QBs, this is an entirely different reason. Fans are now questioning the integrity of the game more than ever, and when it becomes truly unclear that's what will get people to stop watching

When I say rest Dickerson until he gets to 100% - they might need to isolate him in temporary housing, with no access to power tools and under strict supervision. lol

and a diet plan

I wouldn't read too much into that. Many times, there is pressure inside and Hurts scrambles within "the pocket" to create more time but it hasn't worked out often because typically there are defenders within feet/inches of his face - this prevents him from seeing the field and blocks his throwing lanes. You can have all the time in the world to throw the ball but if you don't have throwing lanes, it's pointless.

What they could do to maximize the effectiveness of pass blocking is design and call QB roll out plays - the way the Chiefs allow Mahomes to roll out, giving him substantial time and room to see the field and creating massive throwing lanes in the process.

Sirianni doesn't believe in designed rollouts, this team hasn't run them since Wentz was the QB. Yet another easy fix our HC can't seem to figure out

WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THIS REDZONE AUIDO!?!?!

They had it fixed for like 30 seconds now back to this static.

Lol I wonder how many people end up not using it anymore

At this point, Sirianni should be "thinking outside the box". The Chiefs have been to 5 Super Bowls - winning 3 of them over the past several years using designed roll out plays. It (quite literally) is an effective play and can catapult an otherwise stale offense (especially one with a depleted offensive line) to becoming elite again - and has made mobile QB's become even more of a threat - forcing defenses to prepare for yet another level of play. From an offensive strategy perspective alone (something Sirianni is huge on) it should make sense to Sirianni.

Wouldn't bother me if it went away. I never liked it. I like football, not just highlights. Show me a GAME so that I can follow the chess match, not just snippets from everything. My attention span is longer than that of a goldfish.

People still watch professional wrestling😉. They don't bet on it though. If enough people really do question the integrity of the game, it could do significant damage to sports betting. THAT could hurt.

Josh Allen such a ****. He’s as bad as LeBron always lookin for a flag anytime he gets touched.

True, but pro wrestling isn't in the same stratosphere as the NFL in terms of popularity

That's SOP for most of these guys now. Might even be a coaching point. nonono

You mean Wrestlemania isn't an unofficial national holiday that literally makes an impact on society to the point that Super Bowl Sunday is the highest pizza sales day of the year.

Kincaid wide open in the end zone. Allen with little pressure and actively scanning. Did not see him or his brain did not properly process.

Lamar had someone open deep for a TD when he decided to run for a couple yards

Didn’t think Bills were going to get that 2point. Impressive

The Dome is only for capitalism and owner prestige.. Lurie wants a Super Bowl and revenue from the Super Bowl and maybe more events in the winter.

IMO it has nothing to do with football or his team.

YES!!! Snow is messing with the new first down marker technology in Buffalo. Going old school!!! We might see an old-school measurement today!

I love watching it. I'm just amazed how the 2 offenses seem very functional, and our offense has guys that can slip easily on a rubber mat.

But they don't use them for measurements... normally. But today, they might. flex
