Monday Morning Eagles-Lions Game Score Predictions

Week Eleven has the 37th meeting between the Eagles and Lions. The current Regular Season series stands at Eagles with 18 wins, the Lions with 16 wins, and there have been 2 Ties. They have met only once in the Playoffs with the Eagles winning that 58-37 shootout. So the overall record is Eagles 19 wins and the Lions 16 wins.

As we do each week, we are gathering Game Score predictions. As always, please tag your prediction post with @mattwill that way I will be sure to see/record it.  Score predictions can also have an optional "Bonus Pick" tiebreaker prediction.  I will be taking predictions right up until Kickoff. If someone posts a prediction without a tag, please reply to it including the @mattwill tag.

@b_west3 was the winner of the Week Ten chicken dinner with a not very close Eagles 23 Packers 16 prediction, but no one was closer.

In the first six weeks the closest predictors have been

@Freshmilk and @Bwestbrook36 in Week One's 72 predictions

@just relax in Week Two's 55 predictions

@Diehardfan in Week Three's 56 predictions

@Screaminbeagle in Week Four's 61 predictions

@Walkdawalk in Week Five's 59 predictions

@Giggity_goo in Week Six's 50 predictions

@kiwieagle and @Diehardfan in Week Seven's 52 predictions

@McMVP in Week Eight's 50 predictions

@b_west3 in Week Ten's 54 predictions

For those of you who missed it, the results of the Week Ten predictions can be viewed at the link below.

Another defensive slug fest? Nah not this week

Eagles-24

Eagles lose... Lions score a defensive TD at the end to make the score look worse then it was @mattwill

Lions by a lot. That or this will be the week the offense score 30+ but the defense folds.

34-31 Eagles.

Eagles 31

Lions 17

Goff with multiple turnovers

@mattwill

the Eagles and Packers stunned me with a defensive battle.

For the Lions game

Eagles 24 Lions 23

Lions - 29

Iggles - 24

@mattwill

Hurts with another fumble.

There are fumbles and then there are bad fumbles. Do you think Hertz fumble last night was a bad fumble?

I’m not sure a lost fumble can be classified as anything but bad. That doesn’t necessarily mean Hurts should be killed for it. Sometimes the defense makes a great play, but I don’t see how a lost fumble when you’re in position to score isn’t bad.

Since the fumble cost the Eagles points, especially (in hindsight) in a game where points were crucial, then YES, it was a bad fumble.

To me the difference between a fumble and a bad fumble is where the fault lies.

That is a holistic view , and wholly valid. I was thinking about the fumble at a much more granular, individual play, and individual performance level.

In that context, I agree. Like I said, it's not a play I would kill Hurts for. I took your question more situationally, than as an "at fault" question.

Well, then the fumble was a great play by the Defense, IMO.

Jalen's fault for not protecting the ball better, but I will give GBs Defensive player/s a cap tip for making that type of play.

The question, as posed, was a bit ambiguous, but that has prompted some interesting dialogue.

C'mon Matt, this is your thread, so get it back on topic. 😆😉

Hopefully, the Lions feel this game needs to be a "statement" one for them; therefore, they come into it tight and nervous, and commit a bunch of TO's on Offense. And the TVs cameras catch their HC trying to bite Siriani's kneecaps at halftime. 🙃🙃

Lions 27

Eagles 13

I just see a massive letdown here.

Hurts gets sacked 4+ times

Seeing a lot of pessimism here, or maybe just respect for Detroit.

Lions D play heavy press man coverage...we are bad matchup for them so I believe we can win, no idea about the final score though

Lions are a bad matchup

Lions - 31

Eagles - 20

St. Brown 2 TDs

Not too confident on this one. The 2nd Giants game gave false hope about this offense. Still don’t like our play calling or how we aren’t running the ball. The defense is good but will still give up drives at inopportune times.

Lions 30

Birds 21

Hutchinson has at least two sacks on 3rd down plays that end drives.

31 17 Eagles. Woke up feeling good about it.

Eagles with 2 takeaways.

As always, appreciate your efforts!
