If Siri was offering true control, they would be lining up. I believe Sirianni's seat is at least warm and the FO is making it clear he is the decision maker in this OC selection. The Eagles practically have true control in huge font on a billboard for the job. What makes you so sure they'd be lining up to work with Hurts?

Its very possible candidates have noticed that. Let's face it, this fanbase (not everyone) has become very impatient and a bit spoiled.

There are irreconcilable differences, so the dead cap space is immaterial. He has to go. And he wants out. Wants his next big payday. And Howie and Brown's agent will figure this out. See Patriots and Bills as his top destinations. He's out of here like Vladimir.A $40m cap hit, a giant hole at WR, and getting your franchise QB openly trashed by AJ with the inevitable tell-all are not immaterial. That's a huge cost. Really good chance they are cleaning house in 1-2 years anyway and it's so much easier to bury this story then.

January 21Jan 21 I find everyone panicking about the OC right now to be over the top.Whoever we get will be likely be solid. The biggest issue for 2026 was always figuring out the OL, not the play-caller. We're guaranteed to get an upgrade over Patullo. OC has no such promises.

But worth it because he doesn't want to be here and will sabotage this offense and be a toxic risk. Can't have another year like last season. It will sink the team. HE'S DONE HERE! I am totally okay with it. Devanta is your number 1 and you go find a number 2. Not impossible.

The degree of upgrade absolutely matters.

January 21Jan 21 If they get Kingsbury, Brady, by some miracle get in on Monken those are very worthy of getting excited about even if they weren't their top choices. But if they end up settling for like Cooter or Kafka there's no sugar coating it. That would absolutely suck and on truth serum you know how disappointed the Eagles would be. Them not getting the guys they want matters. They obviously were very excited about McDaniel and Daboll in their organization.

I don't think he's great, but he's competent ala Kellen Moore.Other legitimate, safe options.Zac Robinson. He was fine in Atlanta. Had to deal with more limited QBs than Hurts and a worse HC. Fans got mad at his 3rd down calls, which can be fixed with a better staff. Was willing to feed Bijan, like we would with Saquon. Also fed London, when healthy. He has spent two entire years using Pistol formations. Bobby Slowik. Similar to Robinson, we now know that the issues in Houston are more CJ related with Nick Caley than Slowik related. Their offense in 2023 under him was fine when the OL was good (a recurring theme)Arthur Smith. Will run the ball. Lots of play-calling experience and knows how to use AJ Brown. Does get weird by over-using TE3 and RB3, BUT we have no depth at those positions so less of an issue. Smith modified his offense to fit Aaron Rodgers, so he IS willing to adjust to his QB.I'm also fine with them hiring Scheelhaase and trying to hit a home run even if it fails.
January 21Jan 21 lol speaking of my last post, Solak just went on WIP and mentioned Kafka and Cooter as the names he'd be looking out for.
