Yesterday at 03:01 AM1 day Davis Webb and Engstrand would be two fun interviews to turn around this boring crop of interviews.

Yesterday at 03:46 AM1 day At this point, I think the best outcome is Engstrand as OC and Grizzard as PGC. Nagy can be some senior offensive assistant or something if they want some kind of vet in house.

When fans here started seeing names who would be available, they were excited. The issue is, fans here cant decide what they actually want.Established offensive mind? Play caller? Someone who will possibly stay here for years? Just the best offensive mind who may still leave after the season? Theyve basically created an impossible list with opposing objevtive that they want to happen all at once. So they have decided against every candidate, and still freak when we dont hire those guys. Its gotten beyond dumb.I'm not sure how a pool that consisted of Harbaugh, monken, daboll, brady, stefanski and mcdaniel is not good. I guess there's never been a good pool because this about the best coaching pool that's been available in a very long time. When is the last this many big established names were available at one time?

I guess there's never been a good pool because this about the best coaching pool that's been available in a very long time. When is the last this many big established names were available at one time? That comment was specifically for the eagles pool they had to choose from for their OC job. So first, you were never getting John Harbaugh because he was always gonna be a head coach. So that doesnโt help you in your search for OC.Second monken was either taking the browns HC or following harbaugh wherever he went. so I donโt even count him in this pool for your OC because you never had a chance at him unless you were firing Nick Sirianni to go with John Harbaugh, who frankly has been a overrated coach over the last decade (3-6 playoff record and most blown games in the last 5 years). So it leaves you with McDaniel, Brady, stefanski and daboll. Stefanski was always getting a HC job as well. He was never taking your OC job with the options he had available. So now your pool is down to Brady, McDaniel and daboll for your OC job.So 3 guys in Brady, McDaniel and daboll. Brady got a HC job so you werenโt getting him to be your OC. Iโve pointed out McDanielโs offense vs. playoff teams saw a significant drop off. add on offense doesnt fit the skill set of your QB. I felt this way for a while McDaniel is a good hire but had more options than the Eagles and seems like he considered places due to his lifestyle and preferences. Like daboll. Probably the eagles preferred option.Again for your OC job harbaugh, Brady, stefanski got head coaching jobs so they werenโt coming here Soto be an OC over becoming a HC. Monken was also never coming here unless harbaugh was becoming the eagles HC. So really now your pool of top candidates for your OC job are McDaniel and daboll. McDaniel canceled HC interviews in places even with a QB like Allen. So at the end of the day stefanski and harbaugh were always getting HC so not chance at your OC (harbaugh isnโt that anyway), monken was always following harbaugh so not chance unless harbaugh came your HC. Brady, McDaniel and daboll left and brady became a head coach so his candidacy for your OC job never actually materialized. Imo they fired McDermott and kept Brady is kind of telling. So top candidates you mentioned for specifically eagles OC job dwindled down to McDaniel and daboll. one of had preferences you couldnโt match lifestyle/location besides other factors. The candidate pool for eagles OC job really was down to McDaniel and daboll as top candidate choices with about 15 OC job openings due to HC firings or firing of OCs. So outside of those two top candidates of McDaniel and daboll for the OC job are a bunch of retreads or young guys who were inexperienced with play calling (or play calling at this level) that become available every cycle. last year had less openings higher chance you could pull someone like daboll or McDaniel as top candidates. This isnโt they canโt find a good OC based off those other candidates out there, but the pool of candidates you mentioned 4 of the 6 you had no shot at for your specific need at OCIโd also argue last yearโs candidates for head coaching jobs which consisted of Ben Johnson, vrabel, Pete Carroll, Kellen Moore off a SB high and Liam Coen was better. Iโd argue Coen coming from the Bucs, Ben Johnson with the lions and vrabel (had success before ownership of titans went nuclear option) were superior candidates to everyone you mentioned besides harbaugh.

They have made two SBs in large part because of Howie. It's time to have a HC that does more than vibes and coaches people up because it's not sustainable to have the best roster every year. The problem is this is the way the front office thinks and I fear come next season they're going to face plant hard into the reality that in fact reader no it wasn't 'because of Howie' and actually 10+ wins 4 years in a row with 4 different OC's was quite good actually.I genuinely cannot believe this board is crying about Daboll going to the Titans, the guys a hypertensive bum who had a two year purple patch with Josh Allen and has been trending down every where else.
