A true full control, huh. Thank you for the information, perhaps I was a little too harsh.Though Chip doing it would be a nightmare in the way I said at least, I couldn't even imagine. Lol.

Feels like they're up to something since they're acting very weird about the search.Hope that helps. Lol.

Buddy had the EQ of a toddler and that team underachieved by only winning once.It was a very special circumstance and Buddy was in no way a co-HC, he just ran the defense.Lots of coaches let the expert take care of the other side of the ball. This one was more visible because Buddy hated Ditka and Ditka hated him back.Trying to repeat this would be insanity and trying to do it with Shedeur means picking in the top 5 again next year.

I just think it's not something the NFL can pull off. Some businesses can, but the NFL is largely driven at the high coaching levels by egos, and it's so competitive that it just doesn't seem practical.Business segments are separate enough that you can slap them under different people, who answer to a CEO because the divisions are spaced out enough to make it work. But the NFL, the defense and offense are so intertwined, the money people get is so high, pressure is so large...And then on top of that it's the Browns. The only argument could be "Well, they're the Browns, so how much worse could it actually get?"

Lol.The worst collaboration was when the Eagles tried to add the Matt Patricia into the mix on D in 2013.The best may have been when Reich, Doug, and Flip worked with Foles to tailor the playoff offense to his strengths. There has to be one voice calling the shots on offense and it can't be Nick.I'm completely fine if they bring in a hotshot play caller and a mentor type as a sounding board.I would really like to make sure Nick is a minority voice in the offense (maybe decide to go on 4th but not the play to call or the personnel)I would prefer Patullo was in solitary confinement on a different continent.

19 hours ago19 hr Man, this can't be happening. Should have just moved on from him at the end of season.
19 hours ago19 hr I think it's going to be Sean Mannion. I also wouldn't rule out them hiring two guys as co-OCs. Just a hunch.

But you’d get better answers about sirianni in terms of play calling and his playbook/play design.Sure but doing that sacrifices two consecutive years of a super bowl window by idiotic coaching decisions. The only positive is that would definitely be the end of sirianni. They would then get a new coach who probably dumps hurts and you have a still pretty young defense, smitty, and a possibly great offensive line if they go OL heavy this draft. They could win again in 2 years, or they can win next year by hiring a competent human being

But your second paragraph kind alludes to what i was getting at as you’d get an answer about what to do going forward.

Has been that way through every OC here. What we need is a person that can collaboratively pull together a game plan and hopefully adds some creativity into the mix. On gameday he needs to be adaptive and have been predicting what the DC will call, that takes filmwork. (That might be Cooter, who is more a Streichen disciple than a Nick one). But in the end this will have the components and look of Nick’s offense. I wonder what, if any, say he would have with the staff. That has to impact the candidates’s view of the job. Look how Daboll was able to bring in pretty much who he wanted, for example.

I would do the same if I was possibly getting an NFL job with a QB I previously worked with and had success with.
