That was my mistake. I meant to say play for a different contender. One that has a better passing game. Hurts won't elevate him. It'd be a downgrade coming here

Disclaimer: that's because Hurts isn't a 4k+ passer. That's not hating on Hurts

The reports sound like he wants to win another championship and not go somewhere that he can best pad his stats.

You look at his numbers and it isn't like if he came here he would epexect some drop-off from what he is used to.

You look at the landscape of the league and the Eagles would be as good of an option as any other "contender" out there.

If you gave Foles the same offensive line, running back, WR and defense that Hurts has, its probably not looking a lot different.  They are both average although Foles actually has some QB attributes.  If you asked Hurts what 2 + 2 was, it would take him 3 seconds to say 4.  He is a slow processor.  Always leaves the pocket in a hurry when no one is around.  Doesn't even get to his 2nd read.  The list goes on.

Well for one you would have Foles getting injured st some point, like he always did. Then you would have incredibly inconsistent games from Foles at a much larger frequency and variance than you see from Hurts.

Nick Foles was handed numerous different opportunities throughout his career and squandered basically all of them when it came to actually holding down and maintaining the job as a starting QB in the league.

We don't have him on our mind. No thanks. Our spacing would be horrible. VJ is off the table. Even PG is playing well enough now. This team doesn't need a major shake up, they need 1-2 more small pieces. And in 2 years, our 5 year championship window will start. Why ruin that by being stuck with washed vet contracts and no first round picks for 7-8 years?

Good point but Hurts is still average at best.

Giants baiting us lol

Except he that isn't true. Average does not win at the rate he does. He is one Super Bowl appearance away from locking up an induction into the Hall of Fame.

I'd assume he'd want both. He's already a lock to the hall

And again... our passing game is not good and the future is looking bleak. He'd probably want to play for Lamar or one of the contenders that has a better passing game

Maybe if the entire ballot was made up of you and the other slurpers. Do you go into 7 eleven and get the Hurts flavor slurpy?

Maybe I'm alone on this, but I would be fine with this hire. Would like them to at least talk to Engstrand, but JBC was pretty highly thought of back in his Detroit days (after 2017 when they had the #7 scoring offense). Worked under Jim Caldwell in Detroit, Pederson in Jacksonville and Shane in Indy. Is it an inspiring, home run move? Hell no. But I think it brings a level of competence that we didn't have in 2025, and hopefully his time with Shane let's him bring back things that worked in 2021-2022.

Everyone hates it because he has a relationship with Nick, but they worked together in 2012 (JBC's 1st year in coaching) and 2021 (he was a consultant in Philly). It's not the same as Patullo.

We banned him from 7-11

Maybe the passing game isn't good for the WRs 3rd snd below on the depth chart but there would be no reason for there to be any significant drop in his production if he were to come here to be the #2.

If he wanrs to win another championship and the Eagles move on from the diva known as AJ then the Eagles would be one of the best options for him.

Whar a mature response. You look at the historical context of who is in the Hall of Fame and every QB in history who has made at least 3 starts in the Super Bowl has been inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Kelce's take is interesting. The run game and passing game did not mesh. It seems to me that is entirely on the OC and the HC.

The Giants are master baiters.

Grizzard seems like a smart guy but who got promoted too quickly. Bucs replaced him with Zac Robinson which is telling

Coach Glizzy is behind Mannion and Cooter for me

Grizzard would be an incredibly underwhelming hire.

Prepare yourselves if we replace Sirriani next year the HC search will go like this as well. Pederson & Sirriani were both guys that no one else considered.

I don't know if EJ Smith is kind of just running with the unconfirmed speculation here that has taken on a life of its own, but he said on PHLY that Fangio retiring is 100% on the table.

I don't think EJ is just speculating. He doesn't tend to have absurd takes.

I'll give you that, I am not all that mature. You can confirm that with most of my responses in this chat. My points can be valid but I prefer the 7 year old way of communication.

Would be very odd for him not to make that decision before they let Parker go unless they never intended for Parker to be the successor. This is especially true if they always knew it was on the table

I'd blame Nick if Vic left and retired
