6 hours ago6 hr Just now, Connecticut Eagle said:I still can't understand the visceral hate for a head coach that won the SB less than a year ago?Because he acts like a clown and has pissed two seasons away with bad decisions. Coaches shouldn't cause teams to lose and he did watching KP continue when he was over his head and watched as obviously injured OL continued to play when they obviously couldn't. They couldn't beat a 49ers team at home obviously banged up because of gross ineptitude. Two seasons we watched gross negligence from him as HC. Yeah, they won a SB, but it was Howie and Vic and KM a lot more than Nick who shaved his head as his contribution.
6 hours ago6 hr Big risk, hiring someone named Sean when the league is all about Mikes now.But it is a high risk/high reward. I also agree it's more likely they run a system he is comfortable with rather than adjusting Nick's system. I think one potentially good thing is that barring the Eagles absolutely blowing the doors off the league on offense, he should be here for a year 2.

He chose his buddy over team success and when it was clear his buddy was a buffoon, he went all in on him.Its not hate, its that he should not be here any more, What he did in 2025 is a termination level offense under all circumstances.
6 hours ago6 hr If he is good....really good...KK or Johnson good you fire Nick to keep him and stop the turnover on that side of the ball. Hire a sports psychologist for vibes.

How much did he have to with winning last year? How much was he along for the ride? How much did he contribute this year? Some. Some. Little.
6 hours ago6 hr Im fine with the hire. Downside is if the O is a hit hes gone for a HC job and we back to square one but it's a better problem to have than if he's Patullo 2.0.
6 hours ago6 hr I'd like to see him bring in a few coaches loyal to him that know the system he'll be teaching. Honestly I'll be a little worried if no other changes are made

5 hours ago5 hr I previously said that I prefer experience in play calling, but if they are going with a really bright offensive mind who's never called plays, the innovation and creativity could outweigh that...but that he would need to learn very quickly how to call plays in the right situations. Hopefully Mannion learned process, preparation and play calling from some good coaches and will be able to learn very, very quickly because this is an important "prove it" year for the entire offense. No pressure!I do like that he's well respected and viewed as an up and coming coach. I just hope that it's not a 1 year here, then goes elsewhere to be even better there.
