Hurts' clock has already started. They see what we see. If Daboll can't improve his play, that's telling. For sure they are working on a backup plan because the roster is stacked.

There are 9 HC and 4 more OC jobs open. Lots of moving parts.

What's telling is Brian Johnson did not get the Commanders job and probably won't get the other OC openings and neither will Patullo? And the two guys who did well are HCs in the league. So people can talk about Sirriani & Hurts all they want but a vital piece is still the actual quality of the OC himself. Hire a good one

I don’t think Hurts is an easy quarterback to coordinate an offense around, but we’re stuck with him for the time being unless we go the Russell Wilson route a year from now. This offensive group probably has a shelf life of one more year anyway before it’s rebuild time (unless we crush the draft). I wouldn’t be surprised to see Howie try to accumulate as much future draft capital as possible in case we do have to make a run at a new QB.

I’ll be fascinated to see what we do with McKee this offseason. If there’s long term belief in him they should keep him, especially if there is in-house skepticism about Hurts.

Gonna keep him I think. Just look at what Foles did. You need to be prepared.

He’s not my top choice. But i do give him credit for helping develop Josh Allen in his early stages of his nfl career. I loved Josh Allen’s raw talent and arm coming out of Wyoming. He was not polished and was making a huge jump from Wyoming

Honestly, I think Daboll benefitted from Allen far more than Allen benefitted from Daboll. You could put a number of other OCs in that situation and had similar results. In fact, haven't the Bills continued to field top-10 (or maybe even top-5?) offenses in every season after Daboll got poached? We know that's not McDermott's doing, it's just Josh Allen really being that good. And then of course the disaster we witness in NYG. Granted some coordinators make for dogshit head coaches, but the offense should've at least looked serviceable at some point during his tenure and it never did. I think he's Mike McCoy part deux, profiting off of the association with an elite QB and taking more than his share of credit for the success.
