😂 I struck a nerve evidently.

You made a point about QB contracts while your guy is a 75ish cap hit per year over the next 3 years.

You did not hit a nerve, You threw a softball and we hit it right back into your face.

Hurts has a 100m balloon payment in a void year in 2029. That's 4 years from now.

image.pngWe know what you’re up to man

I know this is pointless but we shouldve put a 50 burger up on Kansas City in the Super Bowl last year

Go out Lurie, go get McDaniel and let’s get this train back on track for Atlanta in February 2027

Jalen Hurts gets you. He wanted to go back out there.

Siri is soft so he said no.

Crazy how much changes in a year in the NFL. Who woulda thought this is the remaining field.

Yup, goedert used to block, I dont know if years of football and injuries he just said F it but he was bad this year blocking, and Patullo because you know hes an idiot kept going 12 personnel with Calcaterra who was one of if not the worst blocking TE in the league

Eagles want to be a running team they might want to get some blocking TEs.

Exactly, would be cool if Johnny Wilson came back strong next year along with a new fullback if Ben is a swing and a miss. We need to get back to bullying teams and doing what we feel like any given time instead of worrying about the importance of an "identity”. That IS(was) our identity - Bullies in the trench, on both sides of the ball. Howie will get it right, I will not question his effort.

There is negative buzz building on Sadiq. Most recent draft exchange vid one of the guys was saying he is starting to get some OJ Howard vibes. Now McShay said he is hearing NFL people frustrated his route running has not improved and hes not getting open so well. Oregon guys are saying he seemed more motivated as a TE2. McShay's partner on the show says its a good TE class and theres not much room for error. He needs to be careful about falling back toward the pack.

There seems to be decent competition for who edge #1 is in the class. Lot of people dont think Bain is the best edge on his team.

The really good news imo is that Cisse may be flying up boards. Possible CB#1 hype. IMO he is a really nice player but not an eagles fit. He is skinnier than what his listed weight says. And his tackling proves it. He presses. But he doesnt tackle well. I would love for him to move up and push another talented CB down.

Of note, most of this is not McShay hot takes, but what he has been told by NFL teams.

I enjoyed today's games

Tbh I really just don’t see the Eagles, taking a tight end in the first round. Now they went linebacker after years of thinking they never would. I just don’t think they value that position enough to take it in the first round. I think it’s gonna be an offensive or defensive lineman or may be a corner.

This was not the year for Howie to only do maintenance and most improbably allow Siri to hire his buddy boy.

We should have bought the best OC money could buy and been aggressive in trying to improve the roster.

Yes, and Lurie could've absolutely enforced these points too which he did not.

I dont think they would. Not would I want them to. But I know there will be people who like him, like Pitts.

Aside from positional value dictating you shouldnt take a TE in round 1, if teams are concerned enough about Sadiq to drop him in to our range, we should probably stay away too.

The thing that excites me most in that video is Cisse possibly being CB1. Thats a guy we shouldnt want. If he pushes someone like Chris Johnson to us, thats great.

Wonder of Payton calls Drew Brees to see if he is willing to come out of retirement.

We can get Max Klare later on. Move up and draft downs.. can be had around that 10-15 range

Blog Superman the great Josh Allen choked again with 4 turnovers and cried after. I’m ded.

The Eagles did not have elite offensive talent last year:

1) The OL was average pass blocking, below average run blocking. Mailata slipped a little, Dickinson and Jurgens were shells of their 2024 selves, and Lane was MIA for half the season. Fred was a decent pass blocker, but subpar run blocker. So the game plan from 2024 didn't work in 2025 b/c they couldn't successfully run on 1st down. And KP never adjusted, what they needed was to develop a short passing, ball control game, using the pass to set up the run.

2) But that requires TEs and receivers. Goedert was dinged a lot, and has lost a step, good underneath TE but doesn't threaten the seam anymore. And the backups were awful. Dotson simply isn't a good route runner, Cooper showed promise when he was healthy, Wilson out, and they never schemed Covey to make plays in the open field.

3) Brown isn't an elite WR anymore, he's lost a step, and wasn't winning the contested deep balls on a regular basis, and too many drops, half hearted routes. Forcing the ball to the three "stars" instead of spreading it around exposed his fall off.

Better play calling would have helped, especially accepting that 2024 was history and this team needed to get away from the power football it was no longer capable of executing.

But Howie shares some blame, went young on the OL depth and didn't have competent backups, Fred and Toth filled in, but both were afterthoughts, Kendall, Williams and Hinton were a year away, And Calcaterra were awful, couldn't block and Calcaterra is a mediocre receiving H-back.

One thing about the draft, i don't want workout wonders on offense, I want a FB who can block, a H-back who can run routes and has good hands and can block on the second level, and an inline TE who can handle DEs and find soft spots in the zone. We don't need some 250 lb 4.4 stud who doesn't know a route tree and is a traffic cone on run plays. I'm hoping Cooper can take a step forward, it would be nice to have a "Jason Avant" type on 3rd downs who can shield the ball and snatch it a yard past the marker.

Move the chains with a short passing game, tire out the opposing DL, then let Barkley and Bigsby beat the hell out of them - when they're on their heels, then dial up the dagger.

No more trying to force big plays with 4 deep and Hurts running for his life.

He is 47. No way.

Cam Newton is never getting a call but it would be funny as hell.

Give him a custom guardian cap that looks like a top hat.
