January 18Jan 18 Josh Allen is a very rich man's Carson Wentz with more longevity. Both something special at their peak when surrounded with weapons in a good situation....guys who can take over a game. Both faced with disintegrating foundations around them reverted into sloppy, turnover-prone hero ball. When some guys are part of a dysfunctional offense, they stay within the system and just don't do anything (Jalen Hurts this year). Josh Allen will sling the football at a target, in bounds, past the 1st down marker on every 3rd and long, without fail. Hurts will do that once every few games, if that. One isn't right or wrong...but it's the critical difference between the two when they are part of struggling offenses.

Lamar is, in many ways, the inverse of Hurts. Far more talented, always injured, and never wins in the post-season. Hurts is a very dependent QB who doesn't move the football that well at baseline but has a great track record of gutting out ugly regular season wins and with playing above his pay-grade in the playoffs. If everyone wants to use that to argue that Hurts is an early-career Tom Brady, that's frankly fine. But the problem is that early Tom Brady turned into more of a Peyton Manning-like passer who became elite mid to late career with respect to what he could do to move the ball and carry an offense, be it the 2nd quarter against the Jets in October or 4th quarter of a SB. Jalen Hurts, as a QB, is going in the opposite direction.
January 18Jan 18 Remind me when Carson Wentz had 30+ TDs 6 years in a row and won a playoff game 5 years in a rowI will take 2 years in a row for both to make any kind of analogy less than completely asinine. How about a single playoff win or a 30+ TD season where he did not get broken?

January 18Jan 18 A year ago today it was snowing in Philly for the Eagles Rams playoff game and today it's snowing again.

He has full access to the team, the coaches, the facilities, training camp, games, sideline...everything and all of it just to be a paid troll. There's absolutely no way he truly believes this. It's all for engagement. This is a "professional" reporter acting this way. I hate him so much.

They just ruin everything for everybody and some of these guys never had a chance to succeed. Granted, he was the captain of that dumpster fire ship. Josh Allen did great with Daboll and has been straight downhill without him ( but that WR situation also went downhill at the same time). Daboll did a pretty bad job with the Giants offense. I still think he's as good as any non Mcdaniel option. He's been part of great offenses, worked with other great coaches, worked well with QBs (and sometimes poorly), and has plenty of play-calling experience.
January 18Jan 18 With ESP, I know many of you hate him. I don't really care much about or for anyone covering the team, to be honest. But I have noticed a bit of a gap in his twitter takes versus when he's actually speaking and discussing a subject. I think the former is pure clickbait and the latter is generally more mellow and thoughtful.
January 18Jan 18 I don't hate him, it's just sad that a grown man has to resort toward baiting the fans like he does. It's all he does. It's tired and it's pointless. Give your real opinions about things, not bait. He's annoying more than anything. I don't make it personal like some people do where they say he's a piece of crap and sometimes even threaten or harass him. Anyone who does that is far more of a dbag than he is.

January 18Jan 18 I have no interest in Daboll. If they're going to retain Nick then that dynamic has disaster written all over it. He's too big of a personality and he'd never be a good soldier. We need everyone rowing together next year, especially if AJ is pissing and moaning all season

One isn't right or wrong...but it's the critical difference between the two when they are part of struggling offenses.I said this earlier in the year about the Buffalo Bills offense, it is basically the Donovan McNabb Eagles offense before they got Terrell Owens. By that I mean, they have a very good offensive line like eagles did, very good tight end like the eagles did and a phenomenal running back like the eagles did. But their wide receivers are the thing that holds that offense from being truly elite. That unit is arguably a bottom 10 corps in the league. It’s why you saw more inconsistencies this year as compared to some previous years. Particularly against the Eagles, Miami and the Falcons. Their outside wide receivers are basically a declining cooks, Keon Coleman who’s not developed, shavers (backup), mecole hardman and before he got hurt a journeyman Gabriel Davis. Shakir is the one consistent Wr but he’s a slot guy.Until they actually fix that issue then you have to be a heavier run first team and Josh Allen has to make up for that against better playoff teams. for him when he has to do that, he becomes more prone to turnovers and mistakes. Which frankly i think mahomes also has seen this happen with him compared to his first 3-4 years in the league.Finish all this off it doesn’t help that Sean McDermott is a defensive coach and his defense almost every playoff loss going back to 2020 (6 games) has seen their defense play poorly in those big games. They have yet to give up less than 27 points over those 6 games. They also are giving up an average of 33.2 points to their opponent.Josh Allen has a lot of fault for why they lost yesterday. You cannot have four turnovers in a game. Even when you score 30 those 4 plus cook’s fumble. he deserves as much blame yesterday for the loss. However overall the constant theme for the bills hasn’t consistently been Allen being the main problem. I can argue their defense has been and that’s on McDermott. They need a new voice however not sure there’s a veteran coach out there to be their gruden. May have past with Payton when he was available a couple years back

If he makes a bad play or costly mistake to lose a game, of course the fanbase is going to be mad and complain about it.They seem to think that if Josh Alken was our QB and did that or Herbert was our QB and did that or Stafford was our QB and did that..........that this fanbase would give those guys a free pass and not Hurts. Some in this blog spend way too much time thinking about other teams QBs.
January 18Jan 18 I will say my take that Sirianni and Daboll can’t coexist is softening a bit because I didn’t realize they had worked together previously.

To be honest I'm still not sure what my second choice after McDaniel would be
