Imo I think the difference is Josh Allen wasn’t mvp Josh Allen yet when daboll got there and was working with him in 2018. Allen was super raw talent that needed to be coached up from Wyoming. He had all the tools to become what he did (i know cause nearly everyone on the blog hated that pick but me). Daboll was there before and when he finally made that jump working with him. In two years of working with Allen he got him from 53% completion and 10-12 TD to year 2 having (2019) allen completing 58.8% of his passes, threw for 3088 yards 20-8 TD to int. If daboll got there afterward like Joe Brady and he had already made that jump I’d be completely out on him. He could’ve had Patullo and just misused

Tbh the bills pass offense has regressed each of the last 3 years. Gone from 8th to 9th to 15th.

Quality of targets for Allen has regressed significantly by the year.

True I’d argue his quality of TE, RB and OL (was solid but i do think when healthy they are better now) has gotten better though

Sirriani has ties with Schelhasse but don’t know if he has the experience they want.

Can tell you he doesn’t have interest in doing it right now. He comes to Arizona more frequently now with his family since he’s been retired and talks with the coaches here. Was told he loves what he currently is doing with media/podcast (and pickleball) and his kids are still young so he wants to be around them more.

Not sure if anyone answered (I'm catching up). I couldn't find anything either, I even searched their Facebook page with filters, no results. The CBS News report and others noted that the Eagles didn't make an announcement, but it's just being reported.

Yea that’s why i have him last. I prefer someone with play calling experience. However getting down to 6 range it becomes harder to find someone i truly love (although i could be missing someone)

I don't get having Kingsbury over McDaniel or Monken. I just don't get the fascination with Kingsbury. I don't think he's bad. But nothing about him stands out as something to get excited about. And there always seems to be some type of conflict with him going on.

I want someone who will be here longer than a year if they turn the offense around next year and it’s good again. McDaniel and Stefanski wouldn’t be that scenario. Stefanski is probably getting another HC job this cycle anyway. So I’m leaning towards Daboll and Monken.

Yep. I’m not sure the Eagles can stomach a first time playcaller. It would t make much sense either. They need a floor, rather than chasing a ceiling.

Not sure what he wants. I just don’t want it to ever come to a point where I have to dislike him! At least Doug was just a jag when he played for the birds. BDN, well he’s BDN. Imagine they bring him in to be passing game coordinator or qb coach under the new OC. New OC leaves…Nick steps up. Siri gets fired along with him. Couldn’t handle it 😂

If you want pre snap motion and all that fancy stuff, Kingsbury and Stefanski aren’t for you. Well I’m not sure how much Stefanski uses motion, but Kingsbury is close to dead last in the NFL. Stefanski is very run based. I saw a long breakdown of him back in 2025 about how he hasn’t evolved with the NFL and how vanilla his offense is. i forget where i read it, but it was pretty harsh on him. I think the idea of Stefanski is better than the reality.

What's the sales pitch to the candidates?

Do they have to submit under Nick's conservative, scared turtle, turnover stat obsessed limitations?

Or do they get to install the offense they think plays to the strengths of the roster and QB as they see fit, within reason and approval from Siri of course?

Do they get to pick their position coaches, other than maybe keeping Stoutland?

Will they have a voice in evaluating the QB, like if they think Hurts isn't it and want to try McKee, would he be allowed? Or is it: make this work with Hurts or else?

Do they accept knowing they will either succeed greatly and get a HC offer after a year, or fail and be fired? Or is there any potential for a 2-3 year arrangement if things go well? Because some candidates will take jobs elsewhere if they get more freedom and won't be fired after just 1 year.

Rumors are he identified Jaxson dart as the Qb he wanted and schoen didn’t love the kid. I don’t know if dart becomes a good Qb but you saw flashes this year. Now daboll if he’s the OC can’t get hurts 10 concussion checks in 8 games.

I wouldnt mind dabol with hurts except that all the guys dabol has worked with were raw young guys, hurts is a bit more established and dabol in NY got the most out of not much talent with scheme.

I think McDaniel is going to get a HC job as well, there are just too many openings.
