I wonder if football too many days of the week fatigue is finally setting in.

I don't like Saturday games. That's for college. And when the Eagles play on a Saturday it interferes with other plans and I even forget there's a game. Keep it Sunday mostly. I don't like Thursday either. It messes with teams schedules and they have to plan around short weeks, normal weeks. It's not other sports where you can play whenever. There's a lot of process to preparing for each week, including rest and injury rehab.

OC's who are good and might stay awhile:
Todd Monken

Brian Daboll

Frank Reich

Seems like most others want an HC job.

Daboll should get a HC opportunity again.

Some of you have changed my mind on wanting an OC that won't want to leave for a HC job.

I think with this roster and championship window, go all in on the best OC. If you can win another SB with him and he leaves, so be it. In addition, if there's no question that the OC is really good then we'll find out some answers about scheme, QB, WR effort/drops, O line/TE blocking, and other things. With Hurts, if he looks really good, then it helps show it was scheme and OC. If he looks average then it shows it only helped a little. And if he looks bad then it confirms he's regressed and time to move on. It will help evaluate everything and shape roster decisions going forward.

Was not aware Frank Reich was even looking to come back to the nfl. Nobody mentioning him

Frank Reich seems too level headed to work with a lunatic like Siri.

The game has passed Reich by. He’d be a brutal hire.

I really don't see teams pounding his door down to get him:

Brian Daboll got fired as the head coach of the New York Giants, after a 2-8 start to his fourth season.
During his tenure with the Giants (2022–2025), he compiled a 20-41 (.336) reg season, 1-1 in playoffs

Thats not Super Bowl material. I think he would be fine with an OC position.

It’s because he’s not.

Frank Reich would strongly consider the Eagles OC job. If they want him, he would likely take the job.

McDaniel will get a HC coaching job

Possibly, but if the offense looks great PLUS him being a former HC he would get HC interviews next year.

Blue checkmark. It’s real, and it’s fantastic

Some people are always stuck on past "names." When there was talk of firing Reid back then, all people could suggest were washed up retired Cowher and Gruden.

Every year there's a large candidate pool of position coaches, assistants, coordinators and recently fired coaches from among 31 teams to choose from. Each front office should have up and coming coaches on their radar. Plus this season with Patullo's performance, they should have already had a list of candidates they are interested in before the season was even over.

Boo, don't want any part of him. He is a losing coach. Give me winning pedigree, not pathetically losing pedigree.

I’m not sure whether you’re serious. Our successful OCs did not come from pedigree

So do we think Lane Johnson tries to come back next season because like BG, he doesn't want to have his last season tarnished by injury?

Either way: they must draft his replacement. He will learn under Lane and likely play regular season games if/when Lane gets hurt. Then take over his 2nd year when Lane retires. Plus, if Lane changes his mind (some players do that but I doubt he would) and decides to retire at a later point after the draft, it would be awful to be stuck without a replacement. So I think they draft OT high regardless.

Alot of us have been talking about what we should draft and its priority.

I'm really thinking they need to focus on the O-line. That could also be FA or trades to improve but that needs to be the focus. This is the teams identity. We need to beef up the line and get back to being a top 5 unit. Run the ball and punish teams and then let Jalen and the receivers play off that.
