We are already there. But then every so often a QB will hit the level Mahomes was at and that team will win 3 SBs.

The QB play has been so putrid in the playoffs this year. If there was just one QB consistently cranking out yards in the air with good 3rd down and red zone % and no turnovers, they'd have a cake walk to the Lombardi.

Are we down to one QB that’s worth taking in 1st round (Mendoza)… I’ll beat the drum again the NFL needs another minor league system to develop QBs and referees; but stickers, paint and the bottom line win out everytime.

It's not been a good league year overall, if we'd been anywhere close to last years level offensively we'd have walked another Lombardi.

It'll be interesting to see if Darnold can get through the NFC Championship game without Sam Darnolding.

Brian Daboll was the OC & QB coach when Hurts was benched at halftime for Tua in the national championship game, FWIW.

Marcus Hayes(ugh) said league sources say the Eagles have "made it known” around the league that Mike McDaniel is their #1 priority of the entire off-season. And they will pay him whatever it takes to land him.

But he also said they haven’t convinced him to interview yet.

Given it’s Hayes taking it with an extreme gain of salt. For one, the Eagles would not tell the league their plans at coordinator that makes no sense. Two, candidates typically interview everywhere. There’s only so many jobs. "Convince to interview” sounds weird.

Obviously it makes sense that Lurie & Howie would want McDaniel but yeah announcing that to the league makes no sense tho they have had bad leaks there. And if they don't have an interview on the books with him after a week (which they might) then it seems dubious. The silence around Kingsbury seems odd too. They either aren't considering him or he's going to drop in at the end and be the guy

I understand that athletes like to rely on that while in college. Some even rely on that in the NFL and are somewhat successful with it. That's what coaches get paid for though. Get the right guy and develop him.

If I’m Sirianni I want to bring in an OC without Head Coach aspirations.

Daboll coming in and making this offense top 5-7 in the league would basically guarantee him a HC opportunity next year when’s there’s another 7-10 openings. In order to keep him we’d have to promote him and move on from Siri.

Either way, let’s not let Siri make anymore OC decisions.

Wrong, just stupid, and limits your search. Bring in the most competent and best option to make this offense Top 5 in 2026. Our window is here.

No reason to look further than 2026 because a year from now there are a ton of possible options for changes. Good or bad season.

Tom Brady and company were there to watch Mendoza, I highly doubt Brady wants to trade for Lamar - Brady and company were there to help solidify their decision - and look at other potential draftees

I would imagine the final pitch to McDaniel is that he gets first crack at HC if Sirianni is canned after 2026.....if the season goes well then McDaniel can seek HC elsewhere like Moore did. But if I am Howie I keep an open mind that McDaniel could very well come here and show more value than Sirianni, making a tough decision after 2026.......regardless if that includes Hurts or not - I guess what I mean is that McDaniel gives you stability if we decide to move on from Hurts.

It could be worse for the Eagles. They could be the Phillies who think running it back after losing except older and more expensive is a viable formula

Insinuating that Patullo remains on the staff? Do we really think Patullo is coming back in this building? Does he and his family even want to stay after getting his house egged and then canned? I just don't see Howie agreeing to that.

And I am a believer that Howie is heading up this OC search, not Sirianni.

I was hoping for a career OC but rather just have the best OC and if we have to keep recycling until Nick is fired then that's what we have to do
