McDaniel has pretty much interviewed everywhere that has been asked of him. If he doesn’t interview with the Eagles they’d probably be like the only team that he flat out declined to interview with in this entire process. With all that crap there like the Browns and Raiders. That would be really disheartening. I don’t think it would have anything to do with Fangio though if that ended up being the case. I think it would have more to do with the overall situation. The roster, the dynamic, how much autonomy he gets, etc.

We don’t know that he isn’t. We don’t even know if the eagles are interested. It takes 2 to tango.

I tend to think McDaniel is being told he is going to be offered the job of one of the 2 places he's interviewing for HC and be given a lot of autonomy. Raiders, I think, fit that. No other reason than he pulled out of the Browns job. I think the Raiders are desperate considering everything they've tried in the last couple years.

A secret interview did not happen. And it would not be a colossal embarrassment for the Eagles. We don't know he is their top target, only speculation. For all we know,Vic said him or me and they chose Vic.

He’s still doing the Chargers OC interview though.

Overall I agree with your point though, he likely has offers already and he’s narrowing his options.

Yup. He has OC jobs he would be happy with and potential HC jobs that aren’t coaching death sentences (it would be hard to see him get a third HC job if Cleveland doesn’t work out). At least Vegas has an exciting QB option theoretically.

The Eagles coaching searches tend to drift into this appearance of an unorganized mess. Truth be told everyone is fixated on McDaniel as the only good option and would have hated the hires Detroit & Washington made. All we can do is worry and speculate until it's over

I actually think if he doesnt interview here, Fangio is a very big reason why. There is no other reason why Howie wouldn't at least kick the tyres on this one. He will be doing that with every other guy.

Thats OK - we know we have a good one with Vic. Who knows how Hurts plays in a McDaniel O.
