Same page. Slowik had a good year as a coordinator and the bad one looks more like a Stroud decline at this point. KC was getting rid of Nagy so that doesn't thrill me. Though I don't see Nagy as that different from Daboll like others do. I don't know that they actually ever interviewed Weiss

Living down here Slowik wasn't that bad for the Texans, its the O line thats consistently getting Stroud killed and that would destroy anyones confidence.

The whole issue revolves around Nick - is he going to stay out of the way or is he gonna micro manage the S outta the offense ?

I don’t usually get personal on here, but your post hit me. I’ve been where you are. I’ve had a couple suicide attempts in my past and spent time in inpatient treatment afterward. I’m still in therap

At this point Slowik would be my choice I guess of the guys linked so far

Yup. Willing to give him a shot

They will say we got our guy the whole time probably in the press conference

Sign me Up for Lomu

But i He goes earlier in a thin OT class

that's the problem, this is not a good OT class. however I've also done mock drafts on PFF where Mauigoa drops to us ( I am RUNNING to the podium if that happens. ) the other tackles I like are Blake Fisher from Clemson or Monroe Freeling from Georgia.

this years interior OL class is better

Is it better to take a job where you get influence over some of the team members, or go into a high performing org with a settled team? Some OC candidates will look at potential O player churn and see it as a bonus of the job. DG, Dotson leaving (as an example) allows me to get type of player I want vs retrofitting them to my scheme. Others will want to stay as is.

For me, I'd want to go into a job where there is personnel change on the cards.

Duh, of course. Why would they say anything different ?

Weis Jr is probably the best bet of the bunch at this point assuming we can’t get a guy like Joe Brady.

I like it even if he doesn't have play calling experience.

That report said there were only a couple of OCs that gets full autonomy. So it's very possible they get someone and it's still Nicks offense lol

Funny I looked him up yesterday. Glad to see him in mix

The best option for OC imo is Kingsbury. He’s had success with guys like Murray and Daniels (similar players to Hurts) and it seems like he’ll have the right personality to mesh with Siri and take a backseat when he needs to.

There’s no way I saw McDaniel or Daboll getting along with Siri

He just left Washington due to clashing with Quinn and Adam Peters, their GM. So I don’t know about the taking a back seat part.

I thought he was an interesting name a couple years ago, as I like the Shanahan scheme, and he's gotten playcalling experience.

Ok, that’s an interesting one!

Fano should be gone top 10 / top 15 but I've seen mocks where Lomu drops into the 20s. Lomu plays on the left side but PFF says he has 32 career starts at right tackle

I wish the Steelers beat Houston. They will probably snag people we want just before we pick.

I saw a few reports that he'd go to Ravens with Weaver as OC or with Minter and that Lamar loves him. I think that's why it's quiet for him

Yep, finally an interview that is intriguing. After losing out on McDaniel and Daboll I would much rather go for a home run with someone like this than a boring average at best guy like Cooter or Nagy.

Same here. my "best case" scenario is that we're able to draft that guard from Penn State ( Ionae ) and then go corner round 2, and then we can pick up a tackle round 3 like Blake Miller, Carter Smith or even Isaiah World

I think you need to be flexible in your plan. Ideally you get a proven play caller but if the options there are weak then look for something else. Don't force it for a lame candidate

Doyle feels like they are building a pipeline for the future more than considering him for the OC job.

Joe Brady will be a 1 and done if he comes here.

Philly fans : We need to get someone like Vic for the offense that is no longer interested in HC positions so Jalen has consistency

Also Philly fans: continue wanting and naming young guys who will be gone in a year.

After this season and the playcallng issues, I don't see the org hiring someone with no experience and just go, oh well, leave them to it. Zero chance of it happening. It shouldn't stop them hiring the right fit because of it

They clashed because they had a bad season and they had a bad season because of injuries (mainly Daniels).

I could be wrong but just a hunch that I think he’d mesh well with the coaches, players, culture, etc.

Daboll and Siri would have fist fought before camp even started

I need @just relax opinion on Freeling. Seems like he is rising all of a sudden
