We were bound to lose Parker one way or the other. Sucks it's Dallas though.

Well Dennard Wilson is now available

think he left on bad terms tho passes over for Desai

Losing Parker is fine, but really hurts that he's a Cowboy.

Losing Parker to Dallas stinks.

WTF Jeff/Howie....you can't let him go to them. Make him assistant coach, throw him money, whatever. Horrible

Yea, he wanted to leave after he was passed up for the DC job so they "mutually parted ways"

Anyone think Byron Leftwitch would be a good hire ? He's currently at Colorado

Crap news regarding Parker.

The 2017 Eagles team really had no business winning a Super Bowl. The skill positions were meh - Alshon, Torrey, Blount and Ajayi. Ertz and Celek were great. The whole team was carried by the lines - OL still has 3 studs even without JP, and the D line had prime Cox, BG and a very underrated Jernigan (Long was key as well). The secondary was meh - Darby and Mills at CB.

That team ran through an easy schedule and caught fire in the playoffs. You can say the NFC path was somewhat easy, but then they got the ultimate test in the Super Bowl and succeeded.

Add to this Carson wentz was so good on third down that year and particularly 3rd and long. I brought this up the year after he got hurt. They were converting third and longs at a ridiculous rate compared to the rest of the league before he got hurt. I wish i still had that info cause it was super impressive their conversion rate and compared to the patriots they were converting st a higher rate and in 3rd and 7+ much more frequently.

Additionally, I think that was Doug and reich’s best coaching of their entire career from when Carson got hurt to the playoffs. Neither one of them ever coached to the level they did together after the NFC championship game or that Super Bowl. They weren’t awful after but they were better together than apart. Now can use the excuse Reich got a little screwed with the colts as luck retired early and wasn’t expecting that.

Also, with that team, they got the perfect storm of opponents in the playoffs. two dome teams coming to the linc. Atlanta never looked the same after that 28-3 comeback by the patriots the previous SB (lost Shanahan after that game). Vikings had a great defense but keenum at Qb. Minneapolis miracle the week prior setup with Vikings instead of saints with Payton (who’s 2-0 vs. foles in playoffs and 3-0 in general vs. whales in playoffs). Then patriots who were fantastic on offense with Brady but their defense that entire year was ranked bottom of the league.

Thanks for LIX, Christian.

Hard to say. He was at one point the next up and coming name starting to get HC interviews and he just fell off the map after that.

Hopefully Parker doesn’t raid our staff.

You all say WIP is toxic but they want Duce Staley for OC

Piggy backing on my previous post, I think Nagy makes the most sense for this team. Having been in the game for a long time, he likely has a good list of position coaches and will work well with Stoutland. With his play calling experience, he will likely be able to react in real time unlike Patullo. The Eagles need competency, they dont need a gamble on someone who likely be in over their head with all the OC responsibilities. I know this place and Philly would have a meltdown but, among the choices, he clearly has an experience advantage and is a serious candidate.

Meh

I heard a strenuous case made on WIP the other day for Todd Haley. What are we doing here people?

He transformed a team that was 31st in passing into a top-10 passing offense. A "little nicer" is quite the understatement.

I was speaking specifically about Caleb Williams

2026 has not been a good year for Philly sports

Unlike the offensive side the ball, I have complete trust in Fangio. We’ll be fine.

Unless he retires.

I actually give credit to WIP, they were on the "this job isn't desirable train" and "Jalen Hurts is overrated train" and whether we the fans disagree with that or not, it appears the rest of the NFL agrees with WIP. The WIP callers have been worse than the hosts. It's basically a collection of put your fingers in the ears go lalalalalala and call in and say Jalen Hurts is the best QB in the league and if you disagree you're a hater. That's what every WIP call I've heard for the last 3 months has been.

lol return of the running back by committee! Tank Bigsby supports this message

He’s probably getting the Ravens job.

The only way to truly have a dynasty (in the salary cap era) is to have a 1st ballot hall of fame QB. Brady. Mahomes. Manning. Brees had the Saints in the mix more often than not.

What the Eagles have done since 2017 really is bananas - they have been to 3 Super Bowls in 9 seasons with 2 wins, and have done it with massive turnover and good, not great, QBs. No other organization has done that - SF has been good but hasn't won the big game.

Maybe. Good coaching would have us with 3-4 with this roster instead of 1. And we don’t have a 1st ballot HOF qb
